Need color palette suggestions! Ideas welcomed!

Creative and tasteful ladies!

Please help advise on color palette for this venue in the summer. It really has an autumn feel that I need to overcome, and I just cant "see" it. The rug and also the chairs have this strange red color. What to do?

Opens onto the terrace for champagne reception..... It is at the Schloss Heidelberg. Castle wedding.

glueck, what I lovely venue. I agree with you, it does have an autumn feel. You could use a gold or champagne base color and a summer color?

If you want to work around the red carpet, make a runner in whatever color you choose to hide it.

ETA: or a cream color

I didnt even think about making a runner to cover the carpet...ack, but the chairs are the same color and I certainly dont want to rent covers. Champange is a lovely idea. I definitely want my dress to be ivory. Do you think these two colors can offset the red to a more summery envirnment?

If it were me, I would go w/ light palette of yellow, greens, and peachy orange color.

Looking at my monitor, the color seems to be kind of a burnt orange color. If it is, I would do some champagne color and a coral shade. The coral will summer it up a bit while making it look like the chairs are supposed to be that way. Lots of champagne (with a pinkish undertone) will neutral it. Then I would use celadon or some other pale green shade which would compliment your foilage in your flowers and also add some of the "outside" in since your reception will be outdoors. That would be kind of a modern palette.

If you''d prefer more traditional, I would do white/ivory and one color. (you could pick a color out of the architecture for it) Still incorporate lots of outdoor elements so it''s a smooth transition onto your terrace. (you may even find a teracotta color on the terrace that you could bring in)

Wow ladies! Thank you. I feel like a coral idiot! LOL! This is really helping a lot. If you come across more pictures of these things, I can use all the help I can get. Coral... I never would have thought.... but you are sooooo right!

I don''t think that burnt orange has to be autumny at all... I think with some cheery yellows and fresh greens could totally "summerize" the decor. Orange and green is a totally vibrant, non-autumnish scheme (imho).

...I love pink mixed in there too. You don''t have to have THAT burnt orange... you could have varying shades of oranges, reds and pinks... and throw in the yellow/green to freshen it up.... the green really cools down the warm colors.

One of my favorite contrasts (along with coral and turquoise) is blue and orange. I LOOOOOOOVE this bouquet!!!

ETA: try opening this thread in two different windows... you can have the venue in one and scroll through the colors in another, so you can see them side by side.
EATA: I just looked at what was around the flowers (which captivated me) and realized it was not a bouquet but a centerpiece lol.

Wow sera! Thank you. This is really helping me visualize the possibilities..... the coral and turquiose bouquet is breathtaking. Seeing how these caloros can work together really helps to fuel the imagination. Thank you for your help!!

Another possibility if you want something more dramatic would be to use a gold as the main color, the reddish orange as an accent color, and then a bold jewel tone or two such as deep purple or a true turquoise. Not quite as summery, but not necessarily fall either.
