Hi all,

Thanks in advance for your help. I'm quite a rookie so while in my hunt, I've trimmed the results to just a select few, I really need some help with the finer things. The links are below from JA, BN, and WF. The HCA scores are <2 for all of them.

James Allen http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-dia...&DiamondID=288614,316468,301724,312302,293259
Blue Nile http://www.bluenile.com/round-diamo...ture-ideal-cut-g-color-vs1-clarity_LD04216331
WhiteFlash http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/compare.aspx?idnos=3075982,2930362,2962084,2962083

I'm suspicious toward the BN one since I don't have access to the actual images. While I'm a fan of WF, I actually live in Texas so purchasing from them would raise the final price due to state sales tax.

Thank you for your time!

Is there ever a possibility of wanting to upgrade this stone?

I would narrow down this search to James Allen and WhiteFlash since they offer photos and idealscope images. If you ever think you might want to upgrade the diamond, go with WF since they have a better upgrade policy. If not, maybe go with JA for the state issue.

Ask for idealscope images on the three G VS1 stones on James Allen. I wouldn't care to pay for IF clarity on the H stone, because G color will be more visible and VS1 is completely clean. The table on the first stone is over my max of 54-58.

I'll choose from the WF stones once you answer about the upgrade issue.

Thank you for your prompt replies!

I absolutely do plan on upgrading in the future (currently in medical school, so delayed gratification right?) so that's an excellent point that I did not consider.

Speaking of WF, I looked around some more and I found this .75 G SI1 (A Cut Above) http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3092780.htm.. I found the IS and aset to be the best out of all of the WF ones, and it looks promising. Any advice regarding this one?

Thanks!

If you plan on upgrading I would stick with WF. At JA you have to spend 2X the amount you originally spent. May not be a problem
since you are in med school but...just FYI.

I like the .75 (nice table) and the other first one (.80 G/SI1 I think).

I did not know that. I just went through reading every site's upgrade policy and it would appear that WF comes out on top in that area.

Thanks so much everyone. I think I'm going to settle on the .758 G SI1!
