Need help with chain

My husband surprised me with this hummingbird pendant it’s Victorian, she’s little but Weighty and I’m having trouble finding a chain that complements her

It weighs 6 grams so it pulls down, I didn’t know if something like this would look good it’s so hard when you can’t see it in person

My usual jeweler isn’t open yet, but that is my best bet. I did buy a antique 10 k curb chain with dog clip on eBay for a good price. I hope it works*fingers crossed*

She doesn’t have any hallmarks, I think she was a hat pin then in the 60’s turn into a brooch on a large bar. My husband had the seller take her off the brooch and turned into a pendant. I love her!

Me too, I’m trying to era date her. It’s hard lol I don’t know if I’m not good at googling or what. She has rose cut diamond’s, enamel and she’s gold with silver on top

Did you contact the seller to see if they knew more? These look like close cousins. Did you see the spring wings on that? Pretty amazing.

ETA, I suspect if they knew more it would have been in the listing on 1stdibs.

To answer your question, I think you want a chain that isn't articulated -- maybe like a snake chain? Does not go with the vintage but you need a chain that won't bend in an acute angle so there is a graceful curve where the pendant hangs.
