Need help with pricing my sapphire

Hi everyone,

I don't know much about gems, but I was entrusted with this one by a friend to sell on her behalf. I'm wondering if it's possible to get a ballpark figure for a price range that I should be looking for. Thank you so much for your help - I'm just completely lost

Details:
Natural sapphire
*No indications of heat processing
weight: 4.196 ct
measurements: 8.27 x 11.70 x 4.80 mm
shape / cut: oval/fancy
color: dark green (bluish)
Origin: Thailand

I think you will need to check around to see comparable stones. Depending on how much of a window this stone has- smaller sapphires this color in the over 3 carat range (assuming eye clean) appear to be asking 3 to 4 hundred dollars from online vendors. There was one on ebay (10 carats plus) with an AIGS cert that sold for $50 a carat.

Unless your a GG or you have a cert assume heat, I would say that stone is in the $500 range total.
