Hi everyone!

I need some PS fairy dust! Our wedding is this coming weekend, and of course its supposed to be nice all week here in the northeast until the weekend, when the rain is supposed to start....just my luck!! I was truly hoping for a beautiful, crisp fall weather day!!! But I would take overcast with no rain too...dont want to be too picky!! We are getting married at an historic mansion, and hoping to have our ceremony outside, along with gorgeous pics of the grounds, etc...

Please send good weather vibes our way!!!!!

my wedding is this wkend too..and i''m also constantly checking the weather (also in northeast). i don''t see rain for the wekend though..ack, let''s all cross our fingers!

My wedding is on Friday, yours is on Sat., right? Most forecasts are saying showers for Friday and sun for Saturday....Although I just watched channel 4 news, and they said showers Thursday night, and then clearing and cooler for Friday, no showers....So, who knows? Just figured good weather vibes can only help!!!!

yea, let''s just hope b/c this forecast changes every day.

this past saturday was supposed to be picture perfect--sunny and in low 80''s with no clouds. Well it was torrential rains for most of the day..so, ya just never know! as long as there are no tropical storms/hurricanes (no signs of any so far), we should be ok!

Hey, girls, I could use some of that fairy dust, too!

Our wedding is Friday, in New England, and it supposed to rain, rain, rain. All of these months of planning an outdoor wedding and reception and now I''m changing everything and planning to move it indoors.

I have not cried once over anything wedding-related because I always felt in the end none of the details mattered. I joked that if my cake showed up and it was bubble gum pink, I wouldn''t care. Still, this morning, I got teary-eyed thinking of all the hard work (and money) we''ve put into creating this outdoor wedding.

Oh well, we''re just going with Plan B and if it changes, then great! But I understand, ladies, it is a little frustrating. Especially because it hasn''t rained in New England in WEEKS and suddenly, the DAY of our wedding, it''s supposed to rain all day.

As an outdoor bride myself, I''ve been addicted to checking the weather. They have a 15-day forecast out there... don''t use it. It''s completely invalid.

Just remember this... meterology is one of the few professions where you can be wrong 80% of the time and not get fired! They don''t know what the weather is really going to do... they''re just guessing! They can''t know until within a few hours or maybe a day. I''ve got my fingers crossed that your wedding weather will be perfect! Spread a little of that my way too! 12 days to go!

oh how frustrating to have to plan to move it inside. the forecasts i''ve seen show only chance of thunderstorms for friday, so i have a feeling you might still be outside! rain rain go away!

i''m impressed you haven''t cried/had any meltdowns. i had one today already. went for my hair appt..rushed there for 11am appt (tough enough slipping out of work). place was so much further than i imagined..walked walked, go there 15mns late. she tells me sorry, she can''t take me anymore--a regular has an appt at 1230.

great, wedding day in 5 days, no time left, and hair is a mess.
anyway, i''ll figure it out!! it''s only details i keep trying to tell myself..

It seems as if they know a cold front is moving through new england, but they aren''t quite sure when it''s giong to arrive--sometime Thurs./Fri. I have a feeling we''ll all know more in the next 2 days. Until then all you can do is plan around it. Dani, where in NE is your wedding?

Janine, I can''t believe she didn''t take you since you were only 15 minutes late! What are you having done? I''m sure they will be able to sqeeze you in for a quick trim and color, though if your schedule is anything like mine this week it''s hard to find an hour or more to do it! That stinks, though, I probably would have cried, too.

I''ve been in the process of having my eyebrows done for about 6 months. I saw this professional plucker lady who is awesome and she''s been doing them ever since. I went through the not-so-glamorous stage of growing them out and I thought they looked great. So I had my final eyebrow appt. last week--just a couple of days AFTER awesome eyebrow lady goes into labor, so I had to reschedule with a different eyebrow person who plucked my lovely eyebrows to within an inch of their life. After all that work growing them out, haha. I sort of freaked out a little and again, ALMOST cried, but what could I do? Luckily when I went to have my final color put in with my stylist this weekend, she suggested I dye them a tad bit darker (I''m having my hair dark and rich for the wedding) and that really helped them to look fuller, so all is well that ends well. I know you''ll be able to get another appt. and your hair will look fantastic!

Good luck with the weather ladies! If it makes you feel any better, it rained ALL morning the day of my wedding. It was clear and sunny for about two hours of the day, and the ceremony fell during the latter part of that time. Then it started to thunderstorm while we were trying to do some pictures outside...so it can work...don''t lose hope, even if it''s dreary while you''re getting ready!

Dani, I think the fairy dust is working. I''ve obsessively checked the weather all day long and the forecast is improving. Turns out the cold front is moving fast and now the rain is supposed to fall late Thursday/early Friday. Several forecast are now calling for sunshine in New England by Friday afternoon! I thought that clouds were going to be as good as it got for us on Friday (I would have been happy with clouds, anything but rain!!) but now it looks like the clouds are going to break up and we could possibly see sunshine!! Temps will still be above average, which is FINE with me!
