hi ladies, i bought my accessories months ago and now i am having second thoughts, i''m very simple and on a daily basis, i only wear my e-ring

i fell in love and purchased a necklace on etsy, i had another etsy vendor make matching earrings, now i just don''t know if it''s what i want to wear on my wedding day, do you think it''s too much? my wedding dress is an ivory silk, strapless with no embellishments, just ruching

i''m also concerned that the brooch is just going to bug me the whole day, any thoughts? i''ll post the necklace first since i don''t know how to post more than one

Oh I think they are so very pretty! But it''s hard to tell if they will make a good "fit" without seeing pictures of your dress or really knowing the style of your wedding. Could you share more?

personally, i love both the necklace and earrings. hard to tell how long the earrings are though so i can''t tell if they''ll compete with the necklace or not. that would be my only concern. i think it''ll all look gorgeous against your gown though! i love the broach accent on the necklace.
 
FF, they are really pretty, but my concern is that the necklace''s broach will be heavy and fall to the center of your neck. I don''t think it will stay off to the side as shown. Otherwise, I think they are gorgeous!
 
i like each on their own, but im not feeling them together! i think the necklace would be better with just pearl earrings or pearl drop earrings, but the metal part makes them compete.
 
also i just noticed this-your earrings are all silver with pearl, and the necklace is pearl but the clasp/broach has a gold/antique tint to it. i think we need to find you some that are all pearl or pearl/antique metal!
 
Now that I''ve seen what your dress will sort of look like, I definitely think the necklace is perfect. But looking again, I''d have to agree with cocolaw that simpler pearl earrings would complement it better.

Since your necklace is so elaborate (and gorgeous.. I LOVE it)
have you thought of maybe going with a pair of pearl studs? or a simple pearl drop?
The ones you posted are very beautiful I just think they clash with the necklace.
 
The necklace is very pretty! I have nothing new to add. I agree with the rest of the BWWs to keep the necklace and get simplier earrings!

Ditto. I would change the earrings, or the brooch. I would be worried that the brooch would drop down to the middle of your neck when you move too?
 
hi everyone, thank you for your responses, i''ve decided to nix the necklace and earrings altogether and go a simpler route, pearl drop earrings and necklace, i just don''t want to fiddle with the brooch all night

Agreed. I'm assuming you're wearing your hair up?

ETA: I see you're starting over with the accessories. I think the necklace is very nice, but I'm sure pearl drop earrings and necklace will look nice too!
 
thanks diva! as much as i liked the necklace, i''d rather save myself the trouble of adjusting it all the time, but it would be nice to hear from others who wore something similar

No wonder I couldn't find it easily...I was away when you created this topic! I saw your avatar yesterday and my stomach did a somersault. With Brighlight's help, I finally found pictures! I know you aren't going to wear them anymore, but can you post more pictures, pretty please? I'm drooling!

Love the necklace.. I think it is a nice idea to have a little splash of color to go with the simple lines of your dress.. I am not nus bout the earrings as a set tho

Ditto, and my vote would be for the necklace, which is stunning.
 
I think the necklace is gorgeous and with your gown being very simple, would add a nice touch of color. I agree what the other ladies have said about the earrings and would think some pearl studs would be a great compliment.

Have you tried taking the necklace for a "test run" and worn it to see how the brooch falls? It may not bug you as much as you think.
