Hi, I need your advice. I am looking for a man''s 6mm wide yellow gold band with a light blue sapphire channel set stone. I simply can not find one. I might have to get it custom made but I was wondering if anyone has come across anything that fits this description?
It is a combination birthday/anniversery present. If I could find a matching ring for me all the better. Any ideas? Failing any "made up" rings, do you have suggestions on the best place to go to have it custom made? What would you expect to pay? Thanks in advance. Ladyasterbilt

With just 1 blue sapphire channel set or a whole row of sapphires channel set? I can find a blue sapphire gypsy set in a man''s ring but a channel set would be tough.

I am thinking just one quality blue sapphire, perhaps 4mm or less. The reason I would like for it to be channel set is because my husband has never worn any rings with stones and I don''t want anything prominent that might irritate him. What is a gypsy set, Chrono? Any help on this project would be appreciated. Thanks, Ladyasterbilt

Gypsy set is basically bezel setting the stone into the ring itself. See the example below by Signed Pieces but imagine a round blue sapphire in yellow gold. Is that what you are thinking of?

Oh, I had no idea that is what it is called. Yes, a round sapphire set in a 6mm yellow gold band, much like the comfort bands from Tiffanys is exactly what I would like. You are so knowledgeable, Chrono. Thanks so much. Ladyasterbilt

Something more like this right, in terms of band shape? For his and hers. Would yours have a single sapphire too? I just need to find it in yellow gold and with sapphires/

That is perfect, just what I wanted. God, you''re good!!!!! Ladyasterbilt

Gosh, I''m not that good because I haven''t found it yet.

The last one with the pink stones was a custom job by bijoux at www.jewelryexpert.com I''m still trying to find a non-custom job.

Thank you so much, Chrono. I just haven''t had any luck. I figured someone would have a better knowledge of the right vendor than I have. Although, thanks to PC I am accumulating lots of websites in my little folder. Ladyasterbilt

Is this closer?

I''ll bet you can get that custom-made pretty inexpensively.

Hey Clem, That''s it! Did you do a little Photoshop? Any suggestions on the best place to have custom work done if I have to go that route? Ladyasterbilt

It can be done semi-custom starting with a die struck setting.
Gary @ www.diamondexpert.com should be able too help you out.
Last I heard he was doing stuff like this.

Hi stormy how are you doing with that situation you had a year ago?

Kisses. Venturi

I am fairly sure that Signed Pieces/Facets would be happy to do something like that for you and I think they could/would do it fairly cheaply.

They have many sapphire bands and make them by request too, so I am sure they could help you out.
