Well we have all been having a time deciding on what color combo of vests/tux/ties for the groomsmen to wear. I''ve posted it here and sent many pictures and polls to my family and bridal party. So we finally decided (green tie/green vest) so to have some fun I found this pic of Orlando Bloom my obsession and doctored it up on Paint to look like one of my groomsmen. I sent an email with this pic saying "One of our groomsmen backed out, so I had to find a replacement. Which one of you girls would like to walk down the aisle with him?"

They all got a big kick out of it.

I swear it was not 1 hour later, my fiance calls and tells me that one of our groomsmen is being DEPORTED! He lost his visa or whatever it was and has to go back to India and something like the process to get it reinstated or something is 180 days (our wedding is 3 months away).

So truly, now one of them DID back out and now I NEED a replacement! Argh! I wonder if Orlando is free...

This makes wedding planning disaster #324 I think. What a story we will have to tell the grandkids someday!

Oh wow! Well then i guess we should stop the joke about shoes being optional! Someone from FIs side (NJ "Yankees") was making a joking comment about what a Southern wedding (all of my fam) was like and wondered if shoes were necessary.

Sorry this happened PnP! If your FI cant find another GM, i wouldnt worry too much. We have an uneven # due to FI not being able to ask the person that would even it all up (it was to be FIs sisters boyfriend, but they broke up). SO, when the bridal party leaves, one GM will take a BM on either side and walk he down the aisle. The GM will be my oldest brother whom everyone knows as a "Ladies Man", so for him to have 2 girls is very humorous and anyone that knows him will get a good chuckle.

Sorry to hear abt your gm... but I wouldn''t worry too much, you don''t have to have an even bridal party anyway!! but mr. bloom certainly looks like a good alternative!
