My Dan Stair Spessartite is Here and I love it Just trying to decide how to set it-definitely a ring---any ideas???

I love the cut of it!

I am open to either 3 stone or halo, but would love half moons

I have a pair of bowed shields(.65ctw, approx. 5.5x3.5mm) and tried them with it and they looked way to small-the spess is 9.5x6.77mm, so I am thinking half moons would look really nice with it

Love the stone!

When it comes to setting, pay attention to the relation between this stone''s size, that of side stones and the thickness of the shank. It makes quite a diference cause too big of a stone on too thin of a shank doesen''t look nice and balanced. Also, choosing the right diamond side stones (in terms of shape and size) is one of the trickiest parts of the design. You don''t want them too small in relation to the center stone, but also not too large, cause they will outshine the center. I think trillions might be a good choice, and radiants could make an interesting combination. Step cuts have large facets, so are very bright and might be too shiny for a stone of this color (a bit darker), at least in my opinion.

As for the metal, I vote for two-tone, setting the spess in yellow (or even rose), and diamonds in white.
