I recently recieved a few rings from my grandmother before she pasted away and i am keepign the ones that have been in the family for along time, However i have Some other rings that i''m looking to get rid of. Can anyone send me in the right direction? We jsut had a new baby girl and with my gf not working funds are kinda low and this is a last resort thing..

Thanks Gary

I suggest that you have your collection of rings and things appraised to determine what you do and don''t have. Ask the appraiser to provide an appraisal based on your selling the jewelry.

Any of the pricescope listed appraisers will do a good job. In certain cases they may desire to send a specific piece to another appraiser who is an expert on that kind of piece.

I would have your entire collection appraised so that you understand what you have and can make the right choice in what you keep as a family heirloom.

You need to have them appraised by a good appraiser.

What your grandmother paid for them, is largly irrelevent.

The current "sale" value has no connection with a past retail value.

Quality and current condition of the jewlery and diamonds - and the local market place for used jewelry of that quality and condition - will determin its value.

I take it that you were not interested in selling to the local jeweler. I am sure that they would be willing to buy it back. My guess is at about 1/4 to 1/3 of the original retail value.

Most of the people here would want to know a lot more detail on the diamonds before they would be willing to consider buying them - at any price.

You need to understand that there is a lot more to a high qulity diamond than size, color, clarity (and who is claiming them to be what you have indicated is also important).

Please read the tutuorial on diamonds.
