New and saying hi!!

Hi ladies! I originally posted a few questions on this site asking about which ring to pick, and I recently began to look at this ladies in waiting section. Anyway, I''m 26, the BF is 29, and we live in LA. We have been togeather for 3 years next month. I''ve had a few meltdowns trying to patienly wait for a proposal, and two of my best friends have recently gotten engaged to thier boyfriends of about a year.

About a week ago I was told I''d be engaged before we go to see his family for Christmas, so I know he plans on proposing before December 22. We have our anniversary coming up in November and his family is coming here for Thanksgiving...

We went ring shopping in May. I basically decided that I want a copy made of Beaudry style 204790, it''s a cushion with two half moons and paves all around. I''m not sure if this link will work. http://www.michaelbeaudry.com/old-site/index.htm Keep in mind I wear a size 10 ring! Yeah, bigger than my clothing size. I''m 5''9" with big feet too!

Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself to you all and I''ll keep you updated!

Wow, thanks for showing me Selita Ebanks'' engagement ring! It looks like it''s the Beaudry! Of course, mine isn''t going to be quite that big. I''m hoping for a 1.7-2 carat cushion. I let my BF pick out the diamond. He originally wanted to pick out the whole setting and the diamond, but I wanted some say. So I picked out the basic look of the setting, and we decided on a squarish 1.7-2 carat cushion. He''s picking the cushion and the exact style of the gallery anf band of the ring, so the ring will somewhat be a surprise!

yep it is a family stone, oval 1.37 ct. i picked out the ritani endless love setting no halo... but he will have the final say in what setting.

Update: My bf''s birthday is 1 day before out three year anniversary. That''s 5 weeks away, so I asked him what he wanted to do about that weekend. He said "Don''t worry about it, it''s taken care of" I replied, "Yeah, our anniversary, but what do you want to do for your birthday?" He didn''t really answer me and was being sketchy, so I left it be. Maybe he has something special planned for that weekend as a proposal? I know he''s proposing before Christmas.

Kathleen, Yeah, my BF knows what setting I want. In June we went to a few jewelers that were reccomended to us. I brought pictures of the setting I wanted and they gave us estimates for prices to custom make the setting. They also showed us about how much diamond we could get for the money BF has to spend. I think we decided we were comfortable with a 1.7-2ish carat cushion, f-g color, vs1-maybe si1. BF is picking out the stone and overseeing the details of the ring as it is made though, so it''s all out of my control. I think he may have ordered it already, but who knows?!

OOOOO very exciting and very mysterious. I think that it''s great that the ring is out of your hands. You told him everything you want and it adds mystery as to when it is going to happen. I hope that it happens on your 3 year anniversary! That would be romantic and you could do something for him a couple days later on his birthday. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
