Glad to hear that a few of you have received your stones and like them
Mine will be a few more days, but that''s fine. I think I found a winner for the 3rd stone for stack rings...
May set all in WG, but I am still leaning towards setting the Tsav in YG, Sapphire in WG and now the Tourmaline in RG---I have seen this combo(teal stone set in RG) and really liked the combo, will have to wait until the stones arrive to say for sure.
I think Barry may be cutting my stones for the pave 3 stone setting as well, we''ll see if I can make up my mind on stone/color combo.

Here is a picture of my tanga garnet. I am having a hard time getting a quality picture............. The color is a little more on the pinkish side but is pretty close to the picture. I love the stone but is it too dark to bezel? The cut is fabulous but this is my first colored stone purchase. I am not sure what I am going to do with it so I am open for suggestions
To be honest, I am not really sure.......... It is beautiful but I think that I would prefer a lighter stone. I am probably going to keep it but just not sure what to do with it.Date: 1/14/2009 1:03:47 AM

Akmiss,
Do you love it, or are you questioning whether you should keep it or not because it''s your first colored stone purchase?
Well, if it is dark, the worst possible setting would be a bezel. Perhaps a four prong tiffany style setting. Something simple to make the stone the center of attention, and to get light underneath it so it will sparkle.Date: 1/14/2009 1:07:46 AM

Thanks TL, I was thinking a simple prong setting would work out best.Date: 1/14/2009 1:12:04 AM

FG-lovely cabs and the mandarin and sapphire are gorgeous too
A couple of bad photos, not much time today and no sun-only snow!
I couldn''t get a pic with the flash of the sapphire for the life of me, just kept getting the table glare and the blue tourmaline looks soooo much better in person, than in my awful pic!
I''m on central time. How fast do I have to be?Date: 1/15/2009 3:07:48 PM

Yup, new stones are posted every 1st of the month, at about noon-ish depending on where you are in the USA.
