I can''t wait to see pics of the cabs and that mandarin!!! They were all lovely on the website!

Barry is sending my 3 small rounds pictured above, a small mandarin and a large(4.5ct)color change pink tourmaline cushion I''ve been eyeing tomorrow-so should have them by the weekend-YAY!!!

All the stones have arrived...

Will post pics as soon as possible :)

The mandarin garnet is a little fireball, The teal tourmaline is a gorgeous neon color and super sparkly, The tsav is a gorgeous color of green, the blue sapphire is lovely as well-maybe a little dark and the large pink tourmaline is a fabulous cut and great color---but unsure how I would set it just yet.

First shot of the two garnet cabs and the mandarin spess.

Closer of the orange garnet. The blue stone is Barry''s blue sapphire from last month''s drop.

The red cab. It is really nifty to turn the stone and watch the red glow move about inside the stone.

FlyGirl, those cabs are awesome! And I love that sapphire!

My amethyst has arrived and it is BIG! I''ll have to take some pictures soon - it''s been a busy weekend however!

Glad to hear that a few of you have received your stones and like them :)

Mine will be a few more days, but that''s fine. I think I found a winner for the 3rd stone for stack rings...

May set all in WG, but I am still leaning towards setting the Tsav in YG, Sapphire in WG and now the Tourmaline in RG---I have seen this combo(teal stone set in RG) and really liked the combo, will have to wait until the stones arrive to say for sure.

I think Barry may be cutting my stones for the pave 3 stone setting as well, we''ll see if I can make up my mind on stone/color combo.

OMG Stepcutnut, those rings are going to be awesome! The tourm in rose gold will be to die for - as will the others be! (bad grammar I know, sorry!)

FlyGirl,
Those are beautiful.

StepCutNut,
Can''t wait to see pictures of your stones.

FG-lovely cabs and the mandarin and sapphire are gorgeous too :)

A couple of bad photos, not much time today and no sun-only snow!

I couldn't get a pic with the flash of the sapphire for the life of me, just kept getting the table glare and the blue tourmaline looks soooo much better in person, than in my awful pic!

4.54ct pink tourmaline-sorry for the huge finger print! This one is kind of a color changer, orangey pink in natural low light, purplish pink in sun light and orange red in fluorescent light.

Mochi, TL, you absolutely should get some of Barry''s stones - I love his cutting style, and he''s so great to work with

StepCutNut, those are gorgeous!!!! More pics please??

Here is a picture of my tanga garnet. I am having a hard time getting a quality picture............. The color is a little more on the pinkish side but is pretty close to the picture. I love the stone but is it too dark to bezel? The cut is fabulous but this is my first colored stone purchase. I am not sure what I am going to do with it so I am open for suggestions

Akmiss,
I would not bezel that Tanga garnet. It''s too dark to bezel. I would prong set it - you''ll get alot more sparkle that way.

here is another picture taken @ night with the flash

Akmiss,
Do you love it, or are you questioning whether you should keep it or not because it''s your first colored stone purchase?

To be honest, I am not really sure.......... It is beautiful but I think that I would prefer a lighter stone. I am probably going to keep it but just not sure what to do with it.

Well, if it is dark, the worst possible setting would be a bezel. Perhaps a four prong tiffany style setting. Something simple to make the stone the center of attention, and to get light underneath it so it will sparkle.

Thanks TL, I was thinking a simple prong setting would work out best.

Are there new drops every month? I''m just wondering when new inventory will arrive. Maybe I will find something I like.

Yup, new stones are posted every 1st of the month, at about noon-ish depending on where you are in the USA.

I''m on central time. How fast do I have to be?

I''m on Eastern time and it''s usually around 12 noon. You probably need to sign up for the newsletter to be able to get first viewing dibs. He posts pictures 1 hour ahead of the start of sale time every month.
