New opal pendant

Ever since seeing @missy’s amazing black Cartier opal ring, I have wanted an opal in the worst way. Seeing @Catmom’s didn’t help either. So as a girl in a budget I decided to look at eBay and see what I could find. I don’t think a black opal is in my future at this moment but I decided I would be happy with a colorful one. The first one I saw was this one. Unfortunately, I didn’t win the bid. I hesitated.

So I kept looking. Here is what I found and purchased. The seller lives in SoCal so I should have it in a couple days. It is a vintage piece and came with the chain for 375.

Me too! That @missy Cartier ring made me go out for a major hunt and I almost won a 7.89 semi-black opal but ultimately couldn't get it because stars just didn't align on the seller's mishap. Can't find anything like hers though and I've been looking hard. Your pendant looks wonderful!

Then there is Mrs B’s. Holy moly gorgeous. Hopefully this one will hold me over for the next year till all our retirement stuff is done.

I received my pendant today-in 1 day! Woohoo! I took a few pics, and I am so in love with this opal! The setting is showing its age a little bit, under my loupe, but not with just my eye. I will post the pics I took. Not the best, with my iPhone but you have to have pics, right?

The chain that came with the pendant was meh, and 16 inches. This pendant needs a little bit longer. But since I have a few, I am not too unhappy about it.
