Very pretty! What are you going to do with them?

These pics were difficult - I''m holding both in one hand, trying to orient the tables in the same direction, and only one of the tweezers is a locking pair. I was lucky to not send one of the stones flying across the room.

Thanks Kismet! I''m thinking either martini studs with halo jackets, or drop earrings, also with a halo. I also like the idea of earring charms......

This isn''t going to be an easy decision (except for the halo part, of course!).

Wow, those seem to be super sparkly! Nice color too!

Nice stones. Congratulations on the rubellie, I think it is stunning. I would not mind inclusions because the color is so nice.

Honestly I am a little bothered by the inclusions. But I really like the color! I am expecting a Rubellite from Gene, hopefully it will look as good as yours:)! Looking forward to see it set!

I understand what you mean chictomato, and usually, I like my stones pretty clean. But in these, the small size combined with the color and flash makes the inclusions barely visible. Has Gene sent your rubellite yet? I''d love to see his/your pic! What shape and size?

Thanks for your really nice comments ma re and crasru!

Chictomato,
Rubellite often have inclusions, it''s just difficult to find them without any and if you do, be suspect, because it could be a nuked/heated tourmaline. That''s not to say that there are no nuked/heated tourmalines without inclusions, but it''s better to see them than not, especially ones with needles. I''m always suspect of hot pink tourmalines that are VS or better.

Cellentani,
The color really speaks volumes, so the inclusions don''t bother me at all. I think your photos are superb, crisp, clean and show off the color wonderfully.

Thanks for adding all the technical stuff TL, and you''re right - clarity on type 3 gems is viewed a little differently than others. But I know it''s hard to look past inclusions that seem unforgivable in macro photos.

Flygirl, I

all those earring charms you have, and I think I want to do something interchangeable like that.

Thanks vigoruby!

Here they are together, so you can see the color difference. They''re in fairly low, natural light.

Yes, I literally gasped when I saw this pic. I loooooove the vibrant/neon pinkish red color!!!

I can''t wait to see what you do with this and your other gorgeous stones!

Awesome! I, too, asked for a pair of 6 mm rounds because I was very taken by the colour but another project put the brakes on that. I’m so glad you got them because they’ll make awesome accent earring stones or accent ring stones.

Oooh, that COLOR! Love it, and the saturation is amazing. Great, great cut and the shot where you have it on your hand? Gorgeous. It''s going to make a beautiful piece of jewelry. With all the truly great qualities of that stone, I don''t mind the inclusions. Yes, one could get their knickers in a bunch over that but the fabulous thing about gemstones is they come from Mother Nature, not a machine, so IMHO, sometimes visible inclusions are not a deal breaker.

Remember Lauren Hutton and the gap between her front teeth? Cindy Crawford''s mole?

Same thing here.

Congrats on a great stone.

I already posted a quick photo of these in the catch-all, but thought I''d add a couple here just to finish this thread:

They look divine!

I originally had them set with these diamond halo jackets, thinking that I could add more gemstones in the future to mix and match. But afterwards, they just didn''t seem to have enough going on to really stand out, so I switched them to the dangles. Still have the halo though, lol.

the lighting is a little weird, but you get the idea....

Good job Cellentani! They looks great :)

Cell,
They are very pretty. You have such great taste!

They look so much nicer as dangles. Great choice in design.
