Hi everyone! Please be gentle, I am super new at this and don’t know a whole lot at all! :lol-2:

My boyfriend and I are getting engaged and I fell in love with a setting, the “Lynne” by CvB. I haven’t been able to find anything else similar by anyone else online. If someone knows of anyone else who could create or has created something similar I’d be open to those suggestions as well!

Someone mentioned that if I do want to work with CvB I’d need to source the diamond myself and I don’t know much about that process. I absolutely love vintage diamonds, specifically OEC. A girlfriend of mine has one so I’ve seen them in person before and it’s absolutely gorgeous. I don’t know the first thing though about trying to find one. I was hoping I could find someone to both source and set, but if that’s not possible I’d be happy to try and find a diamond on my own with the help of you guys!

I’m looking for ~2ct, and budget is about 15k, is that doable for an OEC? If OEC are impossible to find and in that price range, I could potentially settle on a round brilliant lab diamond. Any advice or suggestions would be so appreciated. And if anyone knows of someone who could source/set something similar to the pic below please do share!

Hello and welcome! Congrats on your upcoming engagement.

For OECs I'd recommend looking at Old World Diamonds. There's a selection on the site, if there's no pictures and videos just message Adam. 15k is definitely doable for a 2ct OEC depending on other parameters such as colour and clarity.

Another suggestion is following Parks Fine Group on instagram as Alex sometimes has OECs that are super reasonably priced but they sell very quickly.

I agree with talking with Adam at Old World Diamonds as he likely has the largest inventory. I think 2 cts would be a very nice size in that setting! You might have to go down in color to get 2 cts, though. I'll look around and see if I see anything else. But he is going to have more to choose from.

I looked at Jewels by Grace and right now she doesn't have any good prospects in your size and budget. But I am linking what she has to give you an idea of pricing at 2 cts and that you'll have to go lower in color.

Another idea from jewels by grace. It exceeds your ct want, in budget, but it’s a cushion cut. Just a thought

Thank you so much! I will definitely reach out to him. I saw a few on his instagram already that I love.

Thank you for sending these along! Yes I was planning on going down in color, I actually tend to gravitate towards warmer diamonds anyway so it works out well. I looked on Adams site and instagram and I’m thinking he may have or be able to find something that works for me just based on what he already has in inventory and what he’s posted on his Instagram. Thank you again for all your help!

Not sure if anyone has said this yet, but you don't have to source the diamond--Caysie has vendor accounts with diamond dealers and is experienced at sourcing vintage diamonds. She has already done it for me and I was very happy with the process.
