Nice stud earrings with colored stones online?

Choose a shop which is well reputed and has good past servicing record. Make sure that the jewelry that you buy is genuine and has genuine gem stone in it.

I've never used them so I can't vouch for them, but gem hut http://www.gemhut.com/ will let you pick the type, cut, and style of stones you want, and mount them in settings of your choice. From the online picture, their settings look like a quality comparable to what you'd get if you went to a good local jeweler to have stones set.

I have bought earrings from JTV before, though it's been awhile. They sometimes get good quality from outside vendors. However, some of the earrings made specifically for them have very lightweight settings. I don't think the lighter weight posts and backings stay in the ear as securely as thicker posts.
