My daughter is home for Christmas and I can not help but take pics of her beautiful sapphire ring she received last year. Well she scored this red spinel this year It was not planned as such but how can a father resist a daughters request. (Pleeeeeeeease daaaaaaaaddy) LOL It still needs to be sized but I wanted to get some pics together before they go back to Nashville.

Well I don''t know how much a great eye helps when things like these come along. Unless your color blind, these really jump out at you. For me it comes down to what we will accept along with them. The sapphire is nice and clean but is cut pretty deep. The red has some inclusion but not enough to be a turn off for me. The cutting is no where near american standards on either though
