I should like to inform you that my boyfriend of three years proposed to me last night. We were visiting Ann Arbor, where we met and dated for ~2 years (before moving) and which we both still consider home, stopped by our favorite restaurant and he popped the question after dinner. He is not a man of many words and this was no exception, but he was very sweet and I am proud of him - he was wonderful.

I said yes, of course.

Since I know what it means to post such an announcement without providing pictures, I have a couple and hope these will suffice for now. We are visiting with my family hence I don''t have a lot of time to devote to this. Tomorrow, I promise, the Show Me The Ring forum will be inundated with photos of my bling.

It''s a 1.52ct F SI2 in a Royal Crown. The diamond and the setting both came from James Allen, who was a dream to work with.

My love affair with the Royal Crown was instantaneous... although I have discovered a number of settings which I absolutely adore since we made the purchase... being the non-jewelery type, I always figured this was intricate enough and yet simple enough for my low-key persona
