No ring for me!

Almost every time BF and I go shopping, we stop to look at rings (always his suggestion, never mine, I promise!). Well this past weekend he wanted to step into Kay jeweler to see if they had any cushions. I am thinking Kay, are you kidding me? He promptly reassured me by saying "I promise baby, when I buy your ring it won''t be here." Cute, we read each others'' brainwaves.

Anyway, so I guess that means he hasn''t bought a ring or a stone yet

We are going to Key West next weekend so while it seemed unlikely, I thought maybe he would propose then (we met in Key West and that is were he gave me my promise ring).

I guess I am getting tired of looking of rings, and want one on my finger already! We have been looking for about year now and I definitely know what.

On the other hand, it is always fun to look at sparkly things!

I know how it feels to think "Maybe this time..." and then feel a bit disappointed. Just try to look at the vacation for all it's wonderful upsides, and not the (relatively) minor downside of not getting a proposal while there

That said, you never know... guys have said all kinds of things to throw their ladies off.....

Out of curiosity, did they have any cushions at Kay's? I pegged them more for an emeralds-are-as-fancy-as-we-get kinda store!

I asked the sales rep if they had any cushions and she said "Yes we do, in the case behind you!"

I turned to see a case full of blue and pink sapphires...... Uh, hello lady... we are looking at diamonds!

Anyways, no emerald cuts, marquise cuts were Kay's "fancy" stone.

i AGREE WITH THIS completely...ALTHO you dont want to get your hopes uP TOO high...JUST in case its nOT the time for a proposal...BUT i MUST say that it DOES seem offully FISHY!

***fairy dust*** Hope you have a nice time and it sounds like he may do it then, but I would just enjoy the time with you b/f (I know its hard when proposal is looming) but if not this trip it sounds like its going to happen soon!

Yea my FI and I went to look at Kay and I was looking at round brilliant cert. diamonds and I asked the cut (ie- ideal, VG, G, etc) and the sales person told me it was a "round brilliant"...when I further inquired she didint know what I meant

Haha! Thanks guys, well I would be VERY surprised if it happened this weekend. Oh well, even if I don''t get engaged, I WILL get a killer tan

Awww, I''m sorry you are disappointed. It''s really hard when you have special days or trips and you are a LIW, I used to torture myself thinking that this was finally it. And when it is, it will be perfect and you will be glad that he waited until that time to propose.

You never know though, is there a chance that he has already bought the ring and is trying to throw you off? Sending fairy dust anyway for your trip!
