10-10-2010!!

It''s a Sunday but I figure it won''t hurt since the 11th is Columbus day and most people that would be attending will be off that day.

I love that it''s all 10''s!! Hehe. This way, he can never say he forgot!

Congrats on picking a wedding date.

We picked ours before we were engaged, ours is 11-11-11 (to give us time to save, me to lose weight and grow my hair out, and FI to finish college and get a job)

Wow, that''s a lot of 1''s!! But that''s awesome!!

Ha! I was telling SO that we should do 11/11/11 also!

I think that timeline might be too soon for us, though... bummer. That would be fun!

I love numbers that are easy to remember!

Welcome to the club!

I used to think it was really strange but now I''m starting to see I''m not so alone! Have you started looking at colours, dresses, venues etc?

Woo hoo - been there too! Even though I do not have my ring we are planning our wedding and consider ourselves engaged - our date is 10/31/09 - it''s not all the same number but I think Halloween is a difficult date to forget

October is so pretty. Sounds like a good date to me.

that sounds like fun! i would love that date too, as it would be our 5 year anniversary, but that would involve a proposal within the next 12-18months (so not happening).

Yeah, everyone seems to think it''s a little odd that we''re not even engaged yet but we''ve picked a date. I''m glad I''m not alone here!

I haven''t picked a color for the bridesmaids or anything. But I want the theme to be very fall-like. Colors, flowers, leaves and all. I LOVE fall, hence why I picked October!! Hehe.

As for a venue, we''re thinking a yacht club on the Hudson River that his dad, uncle and great uncle are all a part of. It would be absolutely beautiful down by the River during fall w/ all the colors! And we would be able to get it for a steal!

My original date for the whole 6 years BF and I have been together, I''ve wanted was May 26th. However, my best friend chose May 22nd, 2010 so any date I chose around that date would be too close to hers.

Plus, I just love the fall!

By the time we actually get married, we''ll be just a month shy of our 8 year anniversary! Wow, that seems like such a long time!

Do you have any idea of a timeline he has in mind?

KTF- word of warning (not really, just funny) DO NOT HAVE ORANGE AND BLACK for the colors.... my aunt did that (in the 80''s I will add) and the pictures are SOOO funny. My uncle wore a BROWN tuxedo, it''s hilarious...

I guess it can be done tasteful, but everytime I look at the pictures I''m like oh man, are you serious!

In his arms- fall colors are beautiful, I think that will look lovely!

no, he''s still freaking out about being a grown up and trying to figure out what he''s going to do with his life. he''s 26, a year out of law school and struggling to find a decent job in this horrible economy. at this point, there is no timeline. he''s the kind of guy who takes longer to figure things out, but suddenly he does and he''s very gung-ho. i''m thinking probably within the next 5 years (which is cool, though at times a bit frustrating), so i haven''t even bothered getting on the list yet. congratulations to you both, 8 years is a long time!

Cinco de Mayo is a pretty sweet date. My parents got married 4th of July. My dad told my mom, that way they''d always have fireworks. ...Sweet, huh?
