Not-of-this-Earth specialty-cut grudge match! (I.e. show me your LGD specialty cuts.)

HPHT, looking more interesting as I go. We'd all be happy if you ordered it.
This is how dumb I am - watching the video and going, what's that small thing in the center? It's the inscription reflecting. Duh.

I want both of those.

Me too.

Is there a video for the 2.08?

I can't tell because IDJs app is all wonky today. I can look at diamonds on tje search, but when I try to click one for more info it crashes the app

It's like there's a flower in the middle, and it gives it kozobie!!!

It’s called a Padma cushion and there’s a round version too. The Padma rounds have similar face up size as standard rounds.

Ooooo I like it!!!!

It reminds me of the Rensu cut.

So, I will admit I overpaid, but I wanted a step cut and i feel like I always find something wrong with them when I watch the videos, so even though i overpaid, I love them so i guess it's worth it!

I bought BOTH of these antique emeralds from Alex, a 2.08ct and a 3.10 ct. I REALLY wanted the 3.74 G color he posted but it was too big for he project. Honestly the 3ct is probably too big.

Someone go buy the 3.74ct because it's beautiful

@Inked I can't wait to hear what you come up with for setting them!

Well, its a funny story...

I bought the 2ct for me to do a north south toi et moi ring with a 2ct natural ruby. I absolutely love the diamond, its everything i wanted. Perfect size, more rectangular than square and a price I was OK paying (I really only wanted to spend $1k on the diamond because the ruby was so much, but whatever...) I loved it so much, i was so excited!

One of my closest friends gave her boyfriend my number to help him with an engagement ring. So I gave him resources, i told him to look at David Klass instagram for ideas, and also google "engagement rings" and see what he wanted design wise. Just narrow it down. I gave him ideas I thought she would like. Then I told him for a center diamond, loosegrown has the best prices, but if he didnt want to learn and do the work, then check out Alex Parks instagram or Jonathan at distinctive gem, but if he wanted to get cheaper, he could let me know what he liked/budget/size and we'd find a perfect one on loosegrown, and help here.

So like 2 hours later he txt me a link to Alex's instagram "THIS IS IT! THIS IS EXACTLY THE ONE I WANT!! ITS EXACTLY WHAT I PICTURED!!!" So i click the link... 2ct antique emerald. So, I txt him "I guess you didnt see that diamond is marked SOLD, huh?" He text me all sorts of disappointment... I said "Well he has the 3 ct available" He didnt want the 3ct, he really wanted the 2ct

So I said "Well, lucky for you , it was sold... TO ME." It's for one of my closest friends, I cant hoard all the diamonds , and he seemed to really have his heart set on it, so i let him buy it from me and I bought the 3ct for my project.

Even though in my opinion, the 3ct was veeeerrryyy over priced, and its more square than rectangle (which i didnt want) and it's probably too big for a N/S toi et moi... BUT my friend having the perfect engagement ring is way more important!!!

And the 3 ct is GORGEOUS, dont get me wrong!! It's just better for a center diamond e-ring than in my toi et moi and it was 3x more than i wanted to spend.

Just hope it fits on my finger... :lol-2:

Those are just knock-down, drop-dead gorgeous. And what a lovely thing to do for your friend!

Oh what's the info on this one? :twirl::twirl:

I don't remember tons of info but I found it from ID jewelry searching their lab stones with "other" cut since that's where I usually find the weird ones haha

I like this one a lot. I bet everyone will turn their heads on the streets to get a second look at this treasure

I ended up buying that antique moval :) It’s a little over 3 cts and approx 14x8

I have the hardest time getting pictures and videos! There may be some fingerprints or random fuzzies in these pictures LOL! It throws off some really pretty chunky pastel flashes. It’s not blue but one picture really wants it to be blue! I tried to get a video as well…
