I'm now thinking about how to set the stone - I'm thinking a 1.8 platinum band (no tapering) with two side stones (not pear, I think they make my SO think of tears!), which I think had also better be vintage style so there's not a harsh contrast. Wondering how best to set the cathedral so it's elegant, personalised, and can fit a wedding band comfortably beside it... I never dreamed before diving in there would be so much more to all this than they tell you (well, me - clueless looking man) on the high street!

I suppose I was wondering if the claw prongs were rather large, and if rounded would be less obvious - but perhaps you're right that actually the claws blend in better. Of course, it'll all be much smaller in real life - if only I didn't live on another continent, I could actually see it in person!
