Some of you know I have struggled with a beautiful platinum set. I have tried round, marquise etc and just couldn''t get this set to work... After finding this section and helping my sister find with a zircon I realized what my set really needed was COLOR!!! I am THRILLED TO DEATH WITH STONE and the look... WINK WAS GREAT to deal with.... My sister''s set will be done in 3 weeks so I will post pictures but here is my set and I am sooooo happy that I think I could cry :) WOOOOOOOO!! I know most of you are not marquise fans but you it works in my set.... I AM IN LOVE and finally done. I am now working on a three stone with my RB and two sapphires.............

Are those oval side-stones?

I think you made a great decision. The colored stone really brightens it up. Good Choice.

Wow - this was a shocker - I thought your newly CE treated marquise looked so good in that wedding set! However, I ADORE the new setting you''ve picked out for your marquise - do tell more about it - where did you find it, etc? Are you wearing the set with your new color stone as your wedding set? Will the diamond marquise be a RHR?

I LOVE IT WOOOO! Welcome to the other side

I am so thrilled with my own sapphire and diamond combo. I like being a little different.

Beautiful! That rich blue seems to give the setting a more of a focal point than the diamond... and you get a second ring out of the swap to boot... a nice deal all the way around!

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!! I am so happy! Color is what really needed. I found the marquise setting online. I also found a great 3 stone setting that I am trying to post. To get opinion on My jeweler is pricing the viachi I posted earlier but the one I found this weekend is really unique.

I will be wearing the colored set as my wedding set and the marquise as my RHR.... Something about this set and that stone just weren''t doing it for me.. But now I feel like the combination is perfect!!!!

Wink found me the stone. I will get details soon.. Also, my two side stone sapphires they are 4.0mm each rounds are coming from AJS gemstones. I hope to post them soon. He said I should get them monday.

Sometimes we have to try different things before we know what we really like. I''m the same way.

I love your marquise stone in your ring, as well as the other settings you''ve chosen. Please post with pics when they''re done.

Hey Woo, I was checking over the thread again and noticed the setting for your marquise has no prongs for tip protection. Are they going to modify that or add vtips or something? Would be a shame to chip those tips on that marquise diamond after everything!

Firegodess, thank you for telling me that!! I hadn''t even taken that into account. My settings are in I have to pick them up at the fedex office today :) I will post details and pictures as soon as I get them :) WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THANK YOU AGAIN!! I would be devasted if the stone broke now.

No problem Woo. Would not want to chip that stone after all it''s been through! Let us know how you like the settings - I''m so excited to hear!
