Hello lovelies
Things are really moving quickly @marcy, it seems no time at all since work started on TBE. They’ve just started on a house here, the slabs been down at least 18 months, but the framing went up in less than 2 days. It’ll be interesting to see how quickly that gets finished. Good idea to always be ready for viewings, that’s the worst part of moving, especially when you know people can’t afford/aren’t interested your home.
Cleopatra is a real beauty @missy, what cute markings she has. So glad your eye is improving, and everything crossed the injections in your hand are keeping things stable. What a relief your asthma is under control now, that must be making a huge difference in your quality of life. So glad you got out cycling yesterday, it’s hotter than hell here!
I have never been this tanned in my life @mrs-b, not because I’m trying, but it’s pretty inevitable living here. We go in the pool, but don’t sit out in the heat, it’s just too hot. I use factor 70 sunscreen and I always wear foundation with SPF to cover my face, otherwise I get freckles and look (even more) hideous! Thankfully our back porch is shady and we have a big overhead fan. Before we had the pool built, we came at different times of the day to see where the sun would be, so early morning and late afternoon, different parts of the pool are in shade. Your garden is looking really pretty and so nice that you have shady areas.
My lovely neighbour called me early yesterday morning, she was very upset after having an extremely unpleasant encounter with another resident. Not only is it HOA rules, it’s also County rules that all dogs must be on a lead, and these particular people have been reminded more than once. One of the dogs ran up to L, and she very politely asked the ‘lady’ to put the dog on the lead. This ‘lady’ then told L to have a nice effing day and called her an effing B*tch! Can you believe it? She picked the wrong person to mess with because L confronted her about her language and the woman’s mother shoved L. She walked away and came home, then rang me. I told her to call the Police a.s.a.p. and lodge a complaint, which she did.
They then came over and we spent a couple of hours in the pool. Later in the afternoon, the ‘lady’s’ husband called round to apologise, and took them a bottle of wine. He agreed that his wife had been extremely rude and her behaviour totally unnecessary. Hopefully that’s the end of it.
L & C invited us out to breakfast this morning, which was lovely. We went in the pool earlier before it got really hot, it’s tipping 100 degs again, phew!
