Now I really did it :((

Hi all -

Missy, I'm so glad you're seeing a specialist, it's a shame it's so expensive but I think it's good to explore all avenues, and to take advantage of having a world renowned expert available.

And I suffer from the same map reading problem as you, I cannot read a map to save my life! How nice you had a lovely chat with such a nice person, sounds like fun. Love the pic of the folicking kitty, so sweet  And all of your kitties are just so cute and cuddly, love them all!

Marcy, I'm glad the edema has lessened a lot and your vision has improved, and I hope the retinal scan goes well in May. Dh and I have had some interesting car trips before GPS - he would ask me "where are we on the map?" and I'd say "I have absolutely no idea" and it was downhill from there lol. No rain or snow here, thank goodness, but dreary and chilly. Nice you're enjoying some good weather.

Rainwood, I got go-go boots for Christmas one year as a kid!

Austina, sorry about Colin's removals but it's good things were caught early and I'm sending lots of good thoughts that he gets the all-clear.

Jimmianne, sounds like you packed everything you need lol! I'm sorry about the issues with the house, real estate transactions are such a major pain. It's always something. And yes, easy for dd to say! I'm glad writing about it helped you feel better, it really does help sometimes to express our feelings. LOVE your Tiffany band! Very beautiful and striking, and it does remind me of your amazing clock.

PB, fingers crossed you get the shrimp! Most of the time I don't go on trips with dh, he's usually pretty busy with meetings and business dinners, but occasionally I'll go and we'll spend a few extra days if it's a nice destination.

Hi CJ!

Marcy, I thought of you when I looked out the window and saw this, it was really windy and this squirrel hung on for dear life! Two of his buddies were on the ground eating whatever fell off. I let them snack for a while and when I opened the backdoor they scampered away.

Hi NIRDIs!

Hi Rainwood.

Jimmianne, good deal finding a nice rolling suitcase. Marty’s large bag is sure looking well used but it’s hanging in there. You are packing light so too. I hate to hear about the hassles buying the house; made even worse by distance and language. Hopefully some day you’ll look back on this and find something to smile about. Your Tiffany band looks fabulous. Good find. I agree you have a reason to buy more bling.

Missy, that song is going off in my head now. We didn’t get any snow yet but winds are gusting over 80 mph making it feel bitterly cold. Winter continues. I knew Callie’s area was getting snow. Thanks for the continued healing vibes for my eye; this morning I could tell the difference between black and navy in our closet. Woo hoo! I just tell Marty now if he asks me to look something up on my phone I don’t do maps. If I use my nav system I put my destination in before I leave the garage. I should post all sorts of inspirational signs and start being really sweet to everyone. It will drive them crazy. Sorry to hear the alopecia specialist is so pricey but it is worth it to see what he can offer you. Good luck! I love the kitty pictures; they are living a kitty’s dream. Great shot from the video.

PierreBear, I’d be a good helper in the cooking challenge. I make rice on the stove and mis up dressings sometime; other times i used bottled dressing and microwave rice. Marty was telling me at supper one of the guys running the project in LA turned in his notice so people are dropping lies flies - both by choice or forced out. He signed papers today to be a strength coach with Fitness One so hopefully he’ll get some clients but we won’t be able to live on that income.

Sharon, I hope your hip feels better today and good idea to quit talking about the weather; maybe if you ignore it then it will go away.

Austina, thanks for offering to spring me. I can bake cookies and put some people in sugar commas while we sneak out. I hope my eye scan doesn’t show any change for the worse; 2 weeks may not be that noticeable but I bet they’ll check it again in a month or so. That will be nice to get new windows. We sure don’t like the windows in our house; but since our house is only 5 years old we don’t really want to replace them. We did put in Pella fixed French doors on the deck and patio which are way nicer than the sliding glass doors we had. I am so glad Colin go that spot looked at so quickly after it appeared. I hope they took care of it all today.

CJ, Oy indeed about your taxes. Hopefully we’ll both get confirmation soon our taxes are submitted. That’s pretty funny quite a few of us are not navigators. We are meant to set in the car and look pretty while enjoying our diamonds. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Darn that the internet was down.

We had a date night for a change. We went to a nice, quiet Italian restaurant and visited for awhile. Marty leaves for LA this Sunday again and he signed up today to be a coach at Fitness One so he may be gone a lot even if he is in town. Hopefully he’ll start getting some clients that way. He seems excited about it.

Here is a picture I took tonight of the Moon and Venus.

Take care.
Marcy

Oops, I missed Junebug’s post.

Hi Junebug. I love the picture of the squirrel on the bird-feeder. They are certainly creative at getting bird seed. I love your answer to your DH about where are we on the map; that is awesome. We always seem to be in heavy traffic and Marty has to pull over and look at the map. He should know by now he’s on his own with a map. Ha!

@missy Love that you have a kitty constellation laid out on top of your bed every morning. And your duvet is dark blue to complete the picture! And so glad you're pleased with the kitchen. There's no such thing as too big an island!! You'll figure out the right thing to do about your skin because you're an informed and practical patient.

@Jimmianne Love that Tiffany band. It looks great on you!! And of course the Asscher which looks really, really clean!! It does evoke your clock! And you have such nice long fingers.

@junebug17 You got go go boots? Lucky, lucky you! I wanted them so badly, but I would've outgrown them in months and would have looked ridiculous with my skinny, skinny chicken legs at the time.

@PierreBear The weather here is terrible. We're going for a new rainfall record for April which is historically wet. Glad I'm leaving on a trip in a few weeks!

@Austina So great you're going to NYC. I did it once in July and almost melted so now stick to autumn trips. But going to OWD would be fabulous in any weather. Adam is so great. I have three items from him (solitaire OEC ring, antique cushion earrings, OEC band) and couldn't be happier.

@marcy You have the patience of a saint at work, and I need another virtual cookie fix from you. Snickerdoodles again please?? And I always close the sink stopper when taking off my studs. I lost an earring down the sink once and it was so small it didn't get caught in the p-trap. It was just gone. The stud was a crappy small stone, but now I always take precautions to make sure there's no way to lose my good ones.

@CJ2008 Navigating and reading maps is a muscle you can develop. I used to be terrible, and am now pretty good. My sense of direction has also improved now that I don't have my DH to rely on.

I know I've not done a shout out to everyone, but need to run. I'll try to do better next time.

Marcy .. nice shot! Beautiful.

I LOVE that you guys 'get' how the Tiffany band and the clock relate visually.
And thank you for all the kind words

Sharon you made me laugh when you said you would not talk about the weather again. Four years ago I told my DD I would talk about diamonds any more. Hahaha.
Listen, if you need to talk about the weather we want to hear! B***h away! :lol-2:

Missy thanks. I think the Tiffany band and Mildred together are visually a bit too much. And not comfortable at all.
I love all your kitties pictures and I'll bet they inspire other PSers to adopt, even if they don't live close enough to adopt THOSE kitties.

Good morning girls!

Junie I love the squirrel photos. So precious!:kiss2:
What is it with us and map reading challenges? I know I am lacking a spatial relationship thing in my brain as well as facial recognition and I bet (for me) they are linked. I take comfort I am in good company with you and Marcy and our map reading challenges. Though I suspect I am far worse at that than any of you lol.
Thank you for all your love and kindness and good wishes. (((Hugs))).

Rainwood love the latest IG additions. Lovely. Thanks as always for your good wishes. I realize I must be able to accept and embrace what I cannot change and that is my fervent hope at this time. To be able to say OK this cannot be treated and this is my new "normal" and still be OK with that and fully enjoy my life and all the good I am so fortunate to have. And that is what I am working on and some days I do much better than others. My appearance is not who I am and I will not allow it to define me. It is a work in progress. Your compassion, generosity, kindness, and friendship goes a long way in helping me reach these lofty goals I have set for myself. (((Hugs))).

Hope your workday goes well today.

CJ thank you. Haha I thought you would appreciate that clip. It is heartwarming seeing them enjoy themselves despite their hardships and it is a good lesson for me to live in the moment. Just as the animals do. Hope your day goes well today and sending you lots of good luck and good thoughts.

Austina we *just* received Greg's biopsy results. Negative. Dysplastic nevus. Whew. Hope Colin's tests go similarly well and sending him buckets of good luck dust for a healthy outcome! Glad your windows will be easily replaced and within a few weeks all done. Nice. How is sweet Dottie doing?

Sharon haha I am just as guilty if not more so than you discussing the weather. I love the weather and in fact would have liked being a meteorologist but I am not camera ready so I spared everyone.

Thanks for your good wishes Sharon. How is your hip/glute feeling today? I hope you are getting relief. If I may ask, how is your sister doing with her auto immune health challenges? Has she ever tried LDN (low dose Naltrexone)?

Marcy Woohoo for seeing the difference b/w navy and black. Yessss. Sorry winter continues. It is in the 50s here today but it still feels bitterly cold. Not Wyoming cold but cold enough for me. Date night last night sounded fun and fingers crossed Marty gets many new clients. Thank you for enjoying the feral kitty screenshot from the security video. What a fabulous photo of the Moon and Venus that you captured. LOVE it. Hope your employees behave today.

PB that mystery box challenge does sound interesting and I have no doubt you will rock it. Hope you get shrimp. And may your work week go smoothly.

Jimmianne aww thank you for that lovely comment. I sure hope I can inspire anyone to rescue/save a life. Anything I could do I would do to help save a life. By all means wear those beautiful rings separately. They both rock in their unique blingtastic way. Safe travels and hugs.

Just a quick shout out to all the lovely NIRDIs who are always here for me either online or off. Who offer me true friendship and compassion and love and support. Thank you. It goes a long way in helping me process and deal with the new challenges ahead and from the bottom of my heart thank you. (((Hugs))).

Greg is at the beach house washing all the sheets, putting the kitty litter stuff back together (will build a new one at a later date but for now we will use the original one he built for them) and cleaning up his workshop finally. With all the house cleaning and kitchen putting back together he didnt get to clean and reorganize his workshop which somehow also got filthy during the kitchen reno despite it being in the basement. Reno dust really does travel. Upstairs downstairs all around.:twirl:

Have a wonderful day girls!:wavey:

Hi guys just wanted to check in and say hi I didn't sleep too great last night so I'm like going through the motions today. About to make a cup of tea I'm hoping that wakes me up. :o

marcy the CPA did get the taxes. I didn't find out until like 9:30 P.M. and that's only because I emailed him  and then he said "I filed an extension!" Annoying again with the exclamation point. I felt like responding something sarcastic followed by an exclamation point but figured better not.

missy thank you. ((((hugs))))

I'll try to come back later and catch up and answer any posts directed at me I just need to have a little more energy :D

Quick update that I’m trying to keep it together at work. Oh the highlight of the day yesterday was my neighbors dropping off some vegetables for me. They do the FreshBox or meal deliveries where you have to cook them up yourself. Their household doesn’t eat vegetables or something so she always sends them to me so they don’t go to waste. Don’t mind me… I’m just chomping on raw cherry tomatoes at the moment. : ) Meeting a friend for bubble tea this evening since DH is out of town. She’s so sweet and dear to me. Hope ya’ll have a good day.

@canuk-gal – Thanks for the encouragement on cooking rice and the challenge. Some back up ideas: cioppino (Italian/seafood stew) or coq au vin (for the chicken) or having a base of polenta and just putting the protein on top. I’m hoping it will be more fun than anything else!

Gemstone beads?!!! Wow… your love and history of jewelry goes way back then. : )

Poor Colin getting all that removal but glad that ya’ll are diligent.

@CJ2008 – So funny how we are all so dependent on internet. My day can go sideways if technology isn’t working as it is… I still remember that one day I was trying to navigate around the city without my phone GPS. Will have to check out James Acaster sometime.

@missy – Your cats are outdoor babies?! I had no idea!

Hope you are doing well and big hugs. Way to go Greg getting the beach house ready. He’s a one of a kind, super star!

@junebug17 – Good squirrel action shots!

@marcy – Wow… that picture is sooo amazing! Thanks for sharing. Silly question but is there a camera at the base of the telescope? How do you take photos like that?

If only I could have you as my sous chef! Good luck to Marty getting the Fitness One job and acquiring many clients!

@rainwood – Enjoy that well anticipated trip. We are generally always in drought mode… gladly take some of your rain! Well my cactus wouldn’t like it too much though.

Oh oh oh… you have three pieces from OWD? I would love to see a family shot if you don’t mind sharing. Glad to see that you are another OEC lover. I love my pieces from OWD as well!

Hello lovelies

Love the squirrel pics @junebug17 A few years ago we had a tv Ad (can’t remember what for :rolleyes2: ) but it was a squirrel running along upside down on a rope, trying to get to the bird feeder, to the tune of Mission Impossible

Colin travelled extensively and I never went either, I could’ve gone with him to Japan one time, but I was busy decorating the hall :D

I second @PierreBear ‘s request @rainwood , I’d love to see your OEC pieces if you don’t mind sharing. We’re looking forward to the trip (well, me more than Colin  ) because I need to see for myself whether an old cut is for me. We’re visiting WF in September to look at ACA’s too, then I’ll be able to decide what I want. We won’t be buying till next year, when I officially become old

Your photo is so clear @marcy , thanks for sharing. Keeping everything crossed that things work out for Marty coaching. Did he get any more clients from the military guy?

Just send out the bling signal from your ACA, and we’ll be ready with the gear for the jail break

Such good news on Greg’s results @missy , we’re not expecting bad news on Colin’s results, but we”ll know in a few days. Glad the beach house is almost straightened out, and you’ll be able to really enjoy it again. It’s good to have a philosophical view on things you can’t change, whatever’s happening on the outside, doesn’t change what’s on the inside, and that’s the important thing.

Hope you manage to get a better nights sleep tonight @CJ2008

This is an example of the sort of things I used to make @PierreBear that I had to demonstrate on the show (blue agates and sterling silver)
3EAE1802-CB78-4809-BD59-F8961FEE5CD0.jpeg

That’s nice of your neighbours to pass on their vegetables to you, have fun with your friend tonight.

I had my hair cut and coloured today, I couldn’t stand it any longer, I was fed up getting mouthfuls of hair when I ate :mrgreen2:

It’s been a beautiful day here, hope you’re all having a good one :wavey:

Love your hair cut and color @Austina. Gorgeous!!! And I love that piece of blue agate jewelry you made. That is so lovely. I really love that.
My fingers crossed for good news for Colin's results!

Haha no @PierreBear those are the feral who are outside. My 4 rescues are inside all the way. LOL they'd have a heart attack if I asked them to go outside.

@CJ2008 I am so glad the accountant did what he was supposed to do (it's about time). Hope your energy picked up and you are able to accomplish what you wanted to today. Thinking of you. (((Hugs))).

OK just have to share with y'all how adorable Tommy is. Look at him right this minute. OMG too freaking adorable.

tommyinpolandspringbox.jpg

tommyinpolandspringbox.jpeg

And since I'm sharing pics. Look at what I woke up to this morning. Greg always leaves me little notes when he leaves before I wake up but I don't think I ever shared them with you before. I love how he colored this post it with pink in the heart and all. Awww.:kiss2:

lovenote.jpg

:halo:

marcy how nice that you had a date night. Very romantic with the picture of the moon :kiss2:

hi rainwood do you have a way where I can develop butt muscles which interest me far more than map muscles :D

ETA rainwood after reading this just wanted to also take a second to say I am sure you miss your DH in so many ways. Hugs.

missy yes - live in the moment, appreciate what we DO have. We'll have to continue to try to emulate this way of living won't we. OMG so so so relieved about Greg's results. Yay.

Love love love Greg's note to you. So heartwarming. Do you leave him little notes too.

ETA: OMG how can I forget you, Tommy? Please forgive me. You are the cutest.

pierre hope work is not driving you too crazy. I don't know if keeping it together means screaming or crying or something else. Whatever is going on, you will handle it just fine. What is bubble tea is that the one that has like little balls in it? I love those things - its a drink from Thailand right?

thanks austina I'm about falling asleep now. I think after this I'll cut a pear and plop myself in front of the TV. (I make it sound as if plopping myself in front of the TV is some kind of rare occurrence don't I) :D beautiful necklace and your hair looks really nice. I've had that haircut before it's very stylish I think.

hi June whatever you're doing :wavey:

OK girls I'm going to relax now

Hugs everyone

LOLOL munching away.........

Hi NIRDIs!

Thanks for the kind words about my picture.

Rainwood, darn that you lost a stud down the drain. I was really careful at our last house because there wasn’t much countertop space by the sink. This bathroom has dual sinks with a lot of space between them so I guess I’ve duped myself in to believing I’m far enough from the sink I won’t drop anything. I shot my 4 carat bracelet in to the sink a while ago but luckily the stopper caught it. You’d think I’d have learned my lesson then. Ooh good idea to bake some Snickerdoodles.

Jimmianne, thanks. Did you catch the Moon and Venus last night? I am sorry you think your rings are too much together. I think they look great together but that is a lot of metal on your hand. I know it’s all personal taste and preference. You would probably adjust to it quickly wearing it every day.

Missy, it sounds like when we have a NIRDI outing in NYC that Greg better come with us. Ha Ha. That is great news that Greg’s biopsy came back negative. Sorry to hear the reno caused a lot of mess everywhere; that dust does travel. I am guessing that Greg will enjoy putting his shop in order though. You are so right that it’s what inside a person that matters. Yes, I am always here for you. Tommy is so cute; I love the pictures. Greg’s note is so sweet. I might start doing that with Marty but of course mine will be obnoxious.

CJ, I am glad you at least got confirmation an extension was filed on your taxes. I swear I am going to start nagging Marty on January 1st next year. And how rude with !!!! Was it all CAPS? I hope you sleep well tonight.

PierreBear, it’s nice that your neighbor gives you veggies. I hate some cherry tomatoes with supper too. Tasty. What is bubble tea? I hope you had fun with your friend tonight.
You can take pictures through a telescope or mount a camera on top of a telescope so it is tracking the sky. My Moon and Venus picture was just taken with my DSLR though and a zoom lens.

Austina, that TV ad with the squirrel sounds cute. So far Marty has not gotten any more clients. He did go work out at one of the local gyms tonight though. We can set up a bat signal that shines like a diamond, I like it. Very pretty necklace. Your hair looks great.

Sharon, did you get your Macan yet?

It was pretty nice here today.

Guess who “cancelled” on us today and will stop by tomorrow? I believe I’ve totally lost interest in her. I’ve already got that problem and I know how well one of them cleans.

Have a fabulous evening.
Marcy

Missy, love the sneaks! And when I was in grade school, I wanted a pair of short white boots that we called "go go boots" because they were on the dancers on music shows like Hullabaloo, American Bandstand, and others. They had dark heels though, and my mother never let me have a pair. You go go, girl!
Oh wow, memory lane. My grandmother bought me a pair when I entered 4th grade. I showed up the first day in a new school where i knew no one in go-go boots and a short purple fringed suede shirt skirt. Apparently I made quite an impression but I was clueless about these things.

Marcy I didn't : ( but happily you caught the shot and shared it!
Do you have a robot vac? I swear by mine
and you might find one of them more reliable than your old cleaner : )

Good morning girls!

All this talk of go go boots makes me happy I live in a climate I can easily wear all my boots 9 months (or more lol) of the year.

Jimmianne bonjour and bon voyage. I know you must be getting ready to leave soon and I hope you are excited ...though I know you must have butterflies too I want them to turn into happy butterflies.

Here are some happy butterflies for you.

BUTTERFLIES.JPG.png

Marcy oh no really? WTH is going on with her? Maybe she is dealing with a personal crisis? I don't know and I am sorry and hope you can figure this out and resolve it soon. Either way with her or without her. Yes Greg put everything back where it needs to be spic and span and workshop ready. And even took a few pics for us since I asked him to. Of the backyard and kitty set up in the house that is. I didn't ask for workshop pics but now wish I had thought of it.

beachbackyardapril2018.jpeg

beachbackyardapril2018.jpg

Pretty white fluffy (one time fluffy is good haha) clouds and lovely blue sea. Very peaceful scene.

And our new mat for putting the kitty dishes down on the new counters in their new Kitty space for eating. That counter is all theirs.

kittyfeedingcorneratbeach.jpg

CJ I don't leave Greg little notes but that is because he always leaves the house before I do. When we were dating he used to write me love letters. Not very often but I loved the ones he did write and saved them actually. I guess these post its are the love notes for married people. Bwahaha.:P2

Sharon yes when do you receive our oops I mean your beautiful Macan. :kiss2:

Hi there Doberman, yes I am nostalgic for all things of those decades gone by. With my favorite being the 60s I think. Though I can take stuff I love from almost all the decades 50s, 60s and the 70s are my favorites. And for music for sure the 70s. But I digress.

LOVE this song.:appl:

nancy-sinatra-boots-1000x750.jpg

On that note (:mrgreen2:) have a wonderful day ladies.:wavey:

Good morning! Had a fun time with my friend at the Asian grocery store. We did get bubble tea but I showed her some of the ingredients I cooked with such as curry and sesame oil. Glad she feels comfortable enough to go on her own now. DH is coming home tonight so excited to see him. Ya'll have a great one!

@Austina – Wow lovely beaded necklace. You are a talented lady. Do you still have that as a hobby as well?

@missy – Lovely Greg and is sweet note. I love his handwriting. DH write me morning notes since he leaves the house before I do. My favorite ones includes drawings… hahaha just makes me laugh as it looks like a kid drew it, which isn’t much better than my skills.

What a kind cat mama to let them on the counter. My cat isn’t allowed but I’m sure that doesn’t stop him when he’s not at home.

@CJ2008 – I think bubble tea or boba tea has been so popular that you see it in all regions of Asia. For Thailand, I think they are most known for Thai Iced Tea. Gosh it’s been years since I’ve vacationed there but they had it on dispense at 7-11 convenience stores. Yummm…. Flavored condensed milk and tea.

I haven’t cried over work in such a long time so that’s a relief. My first two jobs though were a different story. I think it was a combination of not being seasoned and also the type of environment. My work environment is much more healthy now. Thanks for asking and for your encouragement.

@marcy – Bubble tea or boba tea has a base of some sort of liquid such as tea/slushies/smoothie. Then there is some other treat in there that you drink with a wide straw. Usually it’s tapioca balls but now they do all sorts of jellies.

Hi everyone -

Missy, that is such a sweet note from Greg, I love that he leaves you notes in the morning, romantic and such a wonderful thing to wake up to. Tommy does look so adorable in that pic. So happy to hear Greg's results were negative, what a relief. Sorry to hear the dust and mess even ended up in the basement and I'm glad that he got everything taken care of. Beautiful pics of the water! And what a good idea to have a counter reserved for the kitties, kitties love counters :P2 Lol to Nancy Sinatra, I loved that song back in the day haha.

CJ, sorry about the bad night's sleep, and I hope you're feeling better today.

Wow Marcy, those are some intense winds, stay warm and safe. Your date night with Marty sounds great, it's nice to have some quiet time occasionally to relax and catch up with each other. Love your pic of Venus and the moon, so cool. Sorry about the uncertainty of Marty's job, I know it's a bit nerve-wracking at times. Fingers crossed he gets a few clients at the gym. Sorry about the issues with your cleaning woman - as Missy said, maybe she's having some personal problems or something. I hope you can work it out and if not, find someone else more reliable.

Rainwood, ugh, sorry about the bad weather but good to hear you're getting away from it in a few weeks.

PB, so nice that your neighbors give you their vegetables. Bubble tea sounds delicious, have a great time with your friend. Nice that your dh will be home soon.

Austina, your hair looks fantastic! Getting a cut and color feels great, doesn't it? I am definitely due myself, must remember to make an appointment. LOVE the necklace you made, really pretty.

Doberman, lol to making quite the fashion statement in fourth grade, too cute. How funny, my boots were a gift from my grandparents too. I went to Catholic School and go-go boots were out of the question, so I never even really got much of a chance to wear mine!

The party at my house is continuing, look who dropped by today lol - the neighbors to the back and far left of us have chickens, and apparently one heard about the food at my place - omg, I just looked out the window and now there are two! I don't mind, I just hope they can find their way back home -

Hello lovelies

It’s summer here today  82 degs, what’s going on?

Awwww that’s so sweet that Greg leaves you notes, I told Colin and he said he’ll be having words with Greg

Tommy is such a cutie, what is it with boxes? I used to put Adam in a box with his toys when he was tiny

You must never tire of the beautiful view at the beach house, it looks so calm and serene.

Your cleaning lady really is the limit @marcy Sounds like she thinks she’s doing you a favour. You’re certainly being challenged on all fronts.

I’m sorry Marty hasn’t got any new clients, hopefully things will pick up for him.

Your little visitors look in very good condition @junebug17 Would Zoe chase them? Hopefully they’ll find their way home safely.

Kim had a bubble tea when we were in Miami, I hadn’t heard (or seen it) before @PierreBear Glad your friend is doing well.

I have LOTS of beads and findings, who knows, if/when we’re living in Austin, you can come round and I’ll show you how to make something :D

Wow Doberman, you were quite the fashionista. I remember in the 60’s we had wet look ‘socks’ for want of a better word. They were knee length, and you wore them with your shoes so they looked like boots, I’m cringing now when I think about it

Hope you’re feeling rested today @CJ2008

You’ll be more than ready for your trip if your weather keeps up @rainwood

Thanks for the sweet comments, I was really glad today I didn’t have all that hair sticking to my neck

We went to Costco and of course came home with things we didn’t intend to buy :rolleyes2:

Looks like we’re in for a few days of sunshine

:wavey:

Oh, I forgot to tell, you FB friend who’d had spinal surgery refused, rang and asked for all the information in my prior post, and guess what? The insurance company are now in contact with her surgeon to schedule surgery. :appl:

Thanks for the pretty butterflies, Missy.

I have a long day ahead...first a whole day of final cleaning/organizing for housesitter and barnsitter.
Then arriving at the airport two 1/2 hours early.
I park miles away at a remote lot to save about $350 and so must wait for a shuttle. Flight at 5pm..8 hour flight, (means 4 new movies!!) ...snacks drinks dinner snacks breakfast... then Paris at 8am. Fast train at noon then transfer to the local train. Arrive at 4pm.
Drive to the grocery store, then home. I figured it's about 30 hours awake door to door. By the time I get on the plane I'm exhausted and usually can sleep for about an hour. When I get to France I'm in a lovely surreal daze.
Piece of cake lol.

Sending best wishes for a smooth trip Jimmianne! Safe travels!

With regard to squirrels on a feeder..,my wild birds have really been going through seed this spring!
In fact I filled the feeder last night and it was empty this morning. Raccoons. There were lots of little handprints. So much for feeding the birds. The kitchen is closed. :(2

Thanks June. I needed that. A little more rattled than usual after the recent events. So I appreciate your well wishes.

I understand Jimmianne, but try not to stress too much, everything is going to be fine!

Yes, I'm going through a lot of bird feed too, I didn't realize there were so many birds in my area!

Haha you with the bird feed and us with the feral kitty food. We should open a pet food store and discount for animal lovers who are buying in bulk to feed the whole furry neighborhood. Who's in?

Sounds good to me Missy! :D

Happy Friday! So ready to get the auditors out of my life…. Hahaha…. In a nice way of course : ) I had a shock yesterday. Looked down at my toe and it finally happened. 90% of the top of my nail ripped off. Aiayaya… I knew it was coming due to the bruising from the Ironman Race last November. It was really puffy and I could tell that it was deformed. Well it finally happened and there is a thin layer of something underneath. Hope I can still paint it and that it is enough protection for me to keep running some of the miles I’ve been putting in. Too much information for a Friday but it was timed perfectly with some new sandals I just ordered to replace my old ones falling apart with no friction on the bottom. Anyhow, ya’ll have a great weekend!

@junebug17 – Hello chickens! Do you get fresh eggs from your neighbors? They look adorable… haha I wouldn’t mind some of those guys in my back yard.

@Austina – Happy Friday! Hope you and Colin get to explore the weekend and show off your new pretty hair cut!

@Jimmianne – safe travels!

@missy – Going to the beach house this weekend perhaps? Hope you and Greg have a restful weekend.

@junebug – hello! Still enjoying the new car?
