Now I really did it :((

@Austina – We were posting at the same time. I bet you look great in that dress especially with all that pilate work. Accessories can make a big difference so bring on those shoes and sunglasses! Next step is that pretty bling later on this year. : )

HI:

Another gorgeous day here--long walk and ride. I am pooped! Since my DH plays hockey tonight, I will meet my son for supper--think I'll have a burger, Cesar salad and fries!! LOL Can you tell I'm hungry already??

Missy--I adore you hair! Seems any color suits you. I also loved your new pendant and I think it looks very well on the gold wire. Chain or wire--win win. A while ago you asked about my sister as she has auto immune issues. Well she texted me that she has a horrible red itchy rash after just a few minutes in the sun. The same type of rash she had during her radiation (breast Ca). She is suffering. And not unlike you. And to make things worse her eldest son was recently diagnosed with Celiac's (like my sister). Pretty unhappy times in their neck of the woods.

PB--hope your roof gets fixed soon. Leaks of any kind are worrysome and troublesome.

Hello NIRDIs.:wavey:

cheers--Sharon

Hi NIRDI’s!

Missy, that is great news you are going to see a heavy metal specialist next week. I wouldn’t give it a second thought she doesn’t want to see you; if she is that type of person she wouldn’t do favors for people anyway. Sending you mega PS dust with your appointment. I am totally with you on hating flying bugs and worry about a bug getting in my ear more than I probably should. I hope Cablevision and TiVo get you hooked up. I deal with TiVo through work and I personally wouldn’t give them a high customer service rating. I love the anchor; it’s wonderful. Sams Club has a charm bracelet with hearts on it that I am thinking of buying and having my mom’s heart pendant made in to a charm for the bracelet. It’s not nice enough to wear by itself but I’d wear that bracelet.

Ausitna, Marty had one client sign up with him for a month. Woo hoo progress! Thank you for asking. Your new dress sounds great and how fun to try it on with all the appropriate accessories. As for Colin’s response - he and Marty are way too much alike there.

PierreBear, good deal to find another good book to read. I need to get back to reading. I was very nervous watching Marty put up those pictures; he thinks he’s invincible though. I hope you get your ceiling leak fixed, such a hassle. The guy that came to look at our window today mentioned water maybe coming down from the roof; I hadn’t thought of that but since it only leaks when the rain is coming from a certain direction I don’t that is what causes it.

We went out to look at windows today then had them come over to give us an estimate on the picture window in our living room. They said it might take about 4 weeks to get it made and ready to install. If I like it I will probably want more of our windows replaced. I am not a fan of the ones they put in our house.

I came home at 4 pm today to meet with the guy from window company. I’ve got so much done already with just an extra hour. I did a batch of laundry, got some graduation cards ready to send and registered our new vacuum. I made myself a batch of scalloped potatoes for supper to go with a grilled burger. I have 2 servings left for lunch. Woo hoo!

We are in our slow season at work but some days I’d never know it. I started the day today taking care of some last minutes changes for today only to find out this afternoon all of them were cancelled anyway. Then I decided to load up a new file but kept getting an error message so had to get engineering on a conference call to get that fixed. By then it was almost lunch.

Laters,
Marcy

Here is the bracelet: i could either add my mom's heart pendant or just replace one of the charms. I might go check it out.

Kate, I hope you are enjoying your trip. Bling and NIRDI's definitely give me something to think about on the road.

Sharon, I love the idea of podcasts. That would be awesome.

Your necklace is nautical but nice @missy

Haha @Austina "nautical but nice"

Along those themes here ya go. Our new nautical porthole mirror. Greg put it up yesterday. We are pleased. And also put up our HUGE atomic clock. I wanted it big and big is what I got.

nauticalmirror.jpg
this AM still dark out and yes that is one big atomic clock8)
mirrorandclockbeachhousekitchen.jpg
Haha I spy Tommy:cheeky:

HRH got into the act yesterday as we were putting it up
mirrorbeachhouse.jpg

It is raining cats and dogs here today but I don't mind.

Dental appointment with my friend later

and right now having a lazy morning enjoying coffee in bed with my kitties and dh. Though he is getting ready to start the day. Someone has to be productive.:mrgreen2:

Thank you Austina for the explanation re the rollers. Like you I would be falling off (I am a big Klutz) but I don't mind amusing others so as long as no one gets hurt.

Yes to a new dress and hahaha you (and Colin) are funny lolol. Bride of Frankenstein or Lassie.:lol-2: I am completely sure you look beautiful and glamorous in your new dress and sunglasses8-)
(And if you would like to share a pic of your new dress we would LOVE to see it but no worries if you don't want to).

Are the windows finished? Hope you are pleased with the result.

@PierreBear thank you, that is so lovely and too kind of you to say. Glad you are enjoying those books. Getting lost in a good book is one of the greatest joys IMO. Hope your household tasks were easy to do yesterday and that you are done and can now relax and read.

@marcy I am with you. TIVO service is not the best but they have spoiled me because TIVO has the best products IMO and the easiest to use (when they are working that is...). We will deal with that when we return to Brooklyn.

Woohoo to Marty getting a client to sign up with him for a month! That is progress and one step at a time.:appl:

Love your idea about getting that charm bracelet and adding the heart pendant from your mom. That is a lovely idea and would make a beautiful bracelet for you to wear and enjoy.

We had all our kitchen windows replaced and some enlarged and we also did a picture window at the front of the kitchen (we already had one but replaced it with a better one) and it was expensive.

Wow to laundry cards and vacuum. You are so productive Marcy! Can I borrow you please? OMG you and Greg would accomplish a lot together. Hmm would Marty mind if we borrowed you occasionally?:P2

@canuk-gal thank you Sharon! I am so sorry about your sister's struggles and about your nephew's Celiac diagnosis. Some days I feel much more upbeat than others and I think when one has to live with AI diseases (or whatever challenges one has as let's face it most everyone has something right?) one learns how to adapt and roll with the punches so to speak. Controlling what you can and learning to accept and manage what you cannot. Good days and bad days and I find if you think too much about things it can become overwhelming so it is much more manageable to break it apart and deal with it one day at a time. I am sure your sister has many ways to manage her illness and the stress associated with it. Learning as we go. And having support along the way is an immense help. The plus side is you really learn who is your friend and who isn't. Eye opening but always a good thing to know.

So glad you enjoyed a long walk and ride! That is the life. One day I hope the rain stops here so we can enjoy a bit of that too.

@Tekate YOU are awesome!
rockon2.gif

And I hope you are enjoying your trip!

Thinking of you and saying hello from NIRDIland.
I am doing OK please don't worry about me. Have fun and enjoy your trip and sending buckets of love your way Kate.:kiss2:

Hi @junebug17 hope you are safe and sound at home and enjoying this rainy day from inside. Sort of nice hearing the pitter patter of the rainfall when one is inside and cozy. I love listening to music whenever I can. It is mood elevating and soul lifting.

That's all for today girls. I am not looking forward to seeing my friend (Denise)the dentist because we are going to be evaluating all the amalgams (and I mean I have a LOT of them) in my mouth. My friend Tom's brother who is a dentist in Maryland says NO to me taking outlay amalgams that it would cause more issues than solve but he is in his late 40s and might not be up on the latest thinking. So hard to know what to do because my friend Denise tells me it is up to me because she really doesn't know what I should do re removing or leaving them. Will see what she says today.

Have a wonderful day and sending (((Hugs))) to each and everyone of you. XOXO.

Hello! Almost at the end of the week… yyippppeee! We had a scare yesterday as DH wasn’t sure where he hid the 10 year anniversary ring. Finally it was found but for a few moments we were in panic mode. So now I get to be privy to the new hiding spot and will just be a good girl and not peep at it too often. Anyhow, this whole thing came up since DH had to dig up travel gear as he’s going on an international work travel trip. Too short for me to come along but he will be sorely missed. We asked other teammates what would be a good gift to bring and the consensus was chocolates so you can eat and enjoy right away and share with others. Kid you not…. He is bringing his 60 liter backpacking gear and ¾ of it is stuffed with American chocolates. Wrinkled clothes? Who cares… people will appreciate the chocolates. Haha… Good thing I’m not coming along as I would want to indulge and rip into them. Hahaha… Anyhow, staying busy until he gets back from his trip. Hope ya’ll have a great day!

@canuk-gal – Yum to your meal with your son! How that meal came with a delicious milk shake as well.

@Tekate – So excited about your time in Yellowstone. We are heading out there next month so please share pics, tips, ideas! Safe travels!

@marcy – Oh yikes… that’s the tricky thing about water. It’s hard to understand where it’s coming from. Dealing with this leak for the past 9 years, we will wait until we are going to repaint the house (1 or 2 more years) and just pull all the siding off of the house. Then hopefully the problem will be apparent. May your issue be easy and quick to diagnose!

Graduation cards is this for a family member? Fancy potatoes! Do you bake those in the oven?

Beautiful bracelet! Does she wear it daily?

@missy – Fun nautical mirror. Where did you even find that bad boy? Is there a “nautical store” or this an ebay find?

Hahaha to Tommy enjoying his belly being on the cold counter. Don’t let me cat see that photo. No cats allowed on the counter allowed at our place. He will say I’m a mean cat mama.

Good luck on your dental appointment. May it not be a painful one!

@Austina - Thinking about Missy's appointment... is Colin all done with his teeth changes? How is the garden coming along?

@missy – Fun nautical mirror. Where did you even find that bad boy? Is there a “nautical store” or this an ebay find?

I searched all around for it and found the one we liked best here.

Looks to be good quality so hoping it turns out to be a good purchase. It was quite a pain transporting yesterday with 4 cats and all our other stuff here in the rain. Lol good times.

Whew on finding your ring. Omg :eek2: and thank goodness you know where it is now. Feel free to sneak pics for us too. :P2:love::whistle:

Hello lovelies

At quick glance, I thought that was Marcy’s big spider on the wall near the mirror, then I realised it was an octopus  It looks great and gives interesting views of the kitchen.

Love the clock too, I just have the hands of the clock on my kitchen wall.
E873A9BE-A79E-4268-8AB0-3A2B69CCAB21.jpeg

I’m a big fan of Wayfair, I got all my lamps from them, and they were so helpful finding me a light for my dining room. I know it’s not everyone’s taste, but I love it, I call it Medusa

2DACA8F3-2910-4337-8CFD-76939FDAD22F.jpeg

You’ll see the dress in 10 weeks Missy when we meet in NY :D only 10 weeks

Hope the dental appointment went well, what did you decide about the fillings?

That’s exactly the sort of thing I do all the time @PierreBear , I put things in a ‘safe’ place, then don’t remember :wall: I spent ages looking for the necklace I bought on holiday, but could I find it? Noooooo, then I opened a drawer to get something, and there it was. I still have no idea where my grey wrap front jumper is, I thought it was at Adam’s, but it wasn’t there, and I’ve turned my walk in upside down, and it’s not there either  Thank goodness you found it, that awful moment of panic really gets the heart pounding.

Colin has 1 more appt, then he’s done.

That sounds like a lovely idea to use your Mum’s heart charm on a new bracelet, not that you need any encouragement to buy more bling @marcy

It looks like you’d need to remove one of the existing ones to keep the spacing even.

Woohoo to Marty getting a client, I hope it’s the first of many. Your talk of burgers encouraged me to get meat to make some this weekend. :lickout:

Looking forward to your pix @Tekate safe onward travels to Yellowstone.

Your poor sister and nephew @canuk-gal so many things to deal with. :( I hope the weather is stilll being kind to you.

Hey @junebug17 hope you’re having a good day.

It’s beautiful here today, we took Dottie to Swinley Forest for a change, did our food shopping and did some work in the garden, so all in all a productive day.

:wavey:

@Austina leaving in a bit for my dental appointment. Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

Love the Medusa and the clock but I need a clock I can easily interpret. Brain fog and all so need it right in my face.
And woohoo only 10 more weeks-cannot wait!:appl:

Everything crossed @missy xxx

Missy, it's so great Tom was able to get you an appointment with the heavy metal specialist, what a good friend. I'm sure she will be professional, and I'm so glad you are seeing an expert in the field. Good luck today at the dentist. Will be back later, just wanted to wish you well!

ETA - just a random thought, but maybe wait unitl you see the specialist before you go make a decision about removing the fillings? Just thinking out loud, ignore me if I'm off base!

Hi all!

Missy, love your anchor necklace, so pretty and looks great on you! It's the perfect size too. The mirror and clock look great. I hope your dentist appointment went well and you were able to get some more info about removing the amalgams. Oh no to the Tivo issues, what a pain. Glad you were able to go to the beach this weekend, a change of scenery will be a nice distraction for you. I hope you and Greg, and the kitties, have a lovely time!

Austina, lol to knowing Colin so well you knew what he was going to say! Your light and clock are very cool, love them both. Very exciting that your NY trip is coming up. Sounds like you got some things done today, always a good feeling to knock things off the list.

PB, hope you had a good day and got some things accomplished. Lol to the kitty being on the bed as you're changing it, they do love to get right in the middle of things! Whew, very glad you and dh tracked down your ring, but now you can "visit" it once in a while lol. I hope the time goes by quickly for you while dh is away. And yes, chocolates are the perfect gift imo!

Sharon, hope you enjoyed having dinner with ds, sounds delicious and you made me hungry! I'm very sorry to hear your sister and nephew are having health issues and I hope things start improving for them soon.

Tekate, so nice you got to visit with family - glad you made it through the storm ok, sounds like it was pretty scary. Hope it's smooth sailing for you and dh from now on. And yes, I think all of us nirdis love dreaming about bling so you have lots of company!

Marcy, woo-hoo to getting a new window! It will look great and it will be nice not to have to worry about leaks. The bracelet you're considering is beautiful and adding your mother's pendant to it is a great idea. Great news about Marty getting a client. Hang in there, tomorrow is Friday and the weekend is almost here!

I'm going to my friend's house tomorrow, staying overnight, and then helping her with a graduation party she is having for her daughter on Saturday. It's really just a small family get-together so it shouldn't be too labor intensive :P2 I might not be checking in for a bit so I'll wish everyone a great weekend now. Take care everyone! Xox

Hi NIRDI’s!

Missy, the mirror and clock look great. Windows are not cheap but getting good ones makes a huge difference. Sure you can borrow me but I have a feeling you and I would talk more than me being productive. What did the dentist say? Hang in there dear Missy. You have a lot of things to process and work through. I am keeping you in my thoughts. So as a TiVo customer do you have to fill out complaints and service requests online? That really irritate me that they squawk about emailing them. If we are having issues with their product I email them just to irritate them. Is that wrong? I am amazed that my company pays them for their service yet they act like they are doing us a favor to help us out with an issue they caused. Many of my bad days at work were directly related to them. (Well and my employees of course).

PierreBear, oh no to losing track of the ring’s hiding spot. I know Marty found some hidden presents for me when we moved. He hid them then forgot about them. That is kind of funny your DH is going to take some chocolates. I hope they don’t melt. When Marty was traveling to the UK office they always wanted him to bring them peanut butter M&M’s. I hope finding your leak turns out to be an easy task. That bracelet would be for me and I would put a pendant on it that used to belong to my mom. I might go look at it next week. I did bake my potatoes in the oven; I just thickened up some milk, butter and flour in the microwave, poured it over the potatoes and baked until crispy.

Austina, LOL to the spider / octopus. I’d really have to smack it to take out that octopus. Medusa looks great. I’d have to really think about what time your clock is pointing to; I lam used to digital. We were looking at new drapers tonight. I’d change out many of our lighting fixtures and get new rugs too - plus new windows. Once that process starts it leads to other new things. I thought I’d take my mom’s pendant with me and see if it would work with that bracelet; and yes I would have aa jeweler just switch out one of the hearts. I am glad you are planing on having burgers this weekend. I eat more burgers than anything but mostly because I can really only eat beef. I am glad you are having a nice day.

Junebug, that will be fun to spend the weekend with a friend and helping out with a graduation party. I hope you get some time to relax too.

Sharon, I missed your post about your sister and nephew; I am sending them my best wishes for some relief and healing dust.

I met a friend for lunch today and it was so nice we sat outside. Summer is almost here. Tonight Marty and I went out for supper then spent way too much money at Bed, Bath and Beyond. We needs some more of those gel mats for the kitchen, I picked up a new pillow and I don't recall what other stuff we couldn't live without.

Take care.
Marcy

Good morning girls!

@junebug17 thank you! Your visit today and overnight with your friend to help her prepare for the graduation party sounds lovely and what a nice thing for you to do. Enjoy your time there and (((hugs))). A party is the perfect thing for this Saturday as the weather is not supposed to be too good so indoor fun sounds the way to go. Is it college graduation? Please tell your friend's DD congratulations from all of us.
congrats.gif

@marcy thank you! And yes TIVO can be challenging at times but we never have to email them. Greg calls them and they talk him through the problem or if it cannot be fixed we have to order a new TIVO. They don't last as long as I would like them to but that seems the norm for everything. They are pretty expensive I will say but IMO at this time they are still heads and shoulders above the completion. For now. But if we keep getting major issues it might be time to switch to the Cable company's DVR though they really are not user friendly like TIVO. When TIVO is working properly that is. LOL.
And I say no it isn't wrong to pester them until they provide satisfaction for you and your company Marcy.

So you go girl!

How nice you got to meet a friend for lunch yesterday and that your weather is cooperating. And yay for having dinner out with Marty last night and spending too much at Bed Bath and Beyond. Hahaha yes we do that too. Spend too much at BB&B. LOL to stuff we cannot live without. I shared with you what my BIL likes to say about Costco right? "We're going broke saving money at Costco"

Hi @Austina thank you! Did Dottie enjoy Swinley Forest? Any plans for the weekend?

@PierreBear thank you and we will be awaiting those furtive bling photos...

So I saw my dentist and friend yesterday and I have 10 amalgams and one triple amalgam filling is cracked so needs to be replaced and two for sure are degrading. I got the most complete initial exam because I had never had that with her as I had seen her last year first as an emergency (she came in on her day off because I cracked a filling but I was not yet her patient) and then we had the crown etc but I had never just gone to her as an initial patient. I was there over 2 hours. They are very thorough and do not rush with anything. I had complete xrays of every tooth, digital photos and a complete gum exam and cleaning. Good news is I don't have any periodontal disease (whew) and that while I have 10 amalgams at least I don't have more! I had a few replaced over the past 2 years due to cracking/breaking so that explains why the number of amalgams is not even more. Though 10 is pretty significant. Looks like I might have a painful road ahead but we will see.

Anyway my dentist friend is totally booked for the next few weeks and they were super busy yesterday too and she doesn't work Fridays or Saturdays. The receptionist is super sweet and she also likes me so she put me in for this Monday morning to at least get rid of the cracked amalgam on the upper right (tooth #5 I think) but I feel bad because she is bumping another patient. I never asked her to do that and in fact told her no don't do that but she insisted. So I am very appreciative and thankful they are so kind and nice and hopefully the person she is moving is someone who won't mind and that is why she decided it is OK to do that.

I have to add that the hygienist who I met for the first time yesterday and did such a through job on my teeth said I have very nice teeth. That was surprising to hear and I wanted to know what she meant by that. I mean my whole mouth has fillings and I have a few root canals and crowns. But I didn't want to push my luck and also my mouth was sort of occupied because she said it as she was working on my teeth. Anyway that tickled me pink because that is not something I think when I think of my teeth.:P2

Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday.
hugs000001.gif

Happy Friday! Well hurray in some ways but dropped DH off at the airport. I’ve done this a million times and it used to be weekly. As we’ve been married longer, it gets harder and harder! We are only apart for a week so it should feel like any other business trip but knowing that it is international creates a bit of a heartburn. I’m going to be a strong independent woman. After his departure, I already trimmed the cactus garden, cleaned the bathrooms, and washed the sheets. Staying busy and positive. Hope ya’ll have a great day and weekend!

@Austina – You are truly a modern girl! Very interesting clock and light. Way to be bold and enjoy what you like as it is beautiful. Do you and Colin have the same tastes or the wife always wins the decoration question. Hehehe….

Awww I’m so glad you and Missy get to meet up soon. Hope you find your front jumper and necklace soon!! Do things usually turn up?

Hope Dottie enjoyed Swinley Forest. Does she go off leash? I’m always surprised that there are some dogs who stick right by their owners no matter if there are other people around. Other dogs are curious butterflies and just want to say hi to everyone!

@junebug17 – Awww you are doing a sleep over at a friend’s place. Enjoy the graduation party and congratulations to your friend’s daughters. Is this high school or college celebration?

@marcy – Yea… our usual gifts would have been “spice rubs” since there is a lot of BBQ over here and it’s fun to share the culture. The commentary we got was that it’s not something you can eat right away and share so chocolates it is! I hope they don’t melt either on the plane but I was thinking airports sell all those Toblerones hahaha…

Ohhhh how wonderful to get a hand me down bracelet. It is beautiful!

Thanks for sharing how you prepare the potatoes!

@missy – I’m glad to hear of some good news from the dentist of not having more amalgam and not having periodontal disease! Glad they snuck you in so there is less to worry about. I’m sure they wouldn’t do that to the other person unless it was just a simple cleaning etc…. : )

Hello lovelies

@junebug17 you’re a good friend to help out with the graduation party this weekend. Have fun, I’m sure your friend really appreciates the help.

Sounds like you had a lovely day yesterday @marcy, no cooking is always a bonus. It’s so easy to overspend once you get started, I love shops like BB&B. We pretty much started from scratch when we moved here, new everything as the people before didn’t leave the house in the best of conditions. It was fun choosing new drapes and accessories.

Colin always trusts my judgement on all things decor related @PierreBear , he has no eye for colour, but will always use the Royal “we” and say “I’m glad WE chose that” he’s happy for me to make the decisions, I let him think he’s had some input :mrgreen2:

The week will pass quickly, then Mr. PB will be home. Will you be seeing any friends while he’s away?

It sounds like the dental appt went well @missy, it’s a great feeling having a lovely clean mouth. If you’re having fillings replaced, is it worth changing to composites? Can she remove the amalgam safely?

Your BIL has hit the nail on the head with his Costco comment, we pretty much say the same, never mind how much we’ve spent, just think how much we’ve saved :lol-2:

Dottie enjoyed her trip to the forest, as soon as we’re away from the road, we let her off the lead so she can run around and chase squirrels

It’s been another lovely day here today, and the forecast is good for the weekend. Wedding fever is in full flow, we won’t go anywhere tomorrow as we live near Windsor and the roads are bound to be busy.

:wavey:

GM girls! Happy Saturday!

@PierreBear I'm sorry your dh is off on an international business trip and I know you are missing him. Hoping he returns to you soon. Wow to you being industrious and good for you having trimmed the cactus garden, cleaned the bathrooms, and washed the sheets. And yes to bling :kiss2: you have your lovely jewels to keep you happy till your sweetheart's return. Plus we are here too. (((Hugs))).

Can you remind me about the Instapot please @PierreBear? I want to pressure cook beans in it and I was wondering if you ever cooked beans in your Instapot. Thanks.

@Austina Glad Dottie enjoyed her trip to the forest. Sounds lovely. And yes wedding fever is in full flow here too lol. It is being telecast on all our major news channels. I cannot get weather or anything else haha. But that is no loss as today is a torrential cats and dogs rain event. The Prince and the Bride look gorgeous in every way. Just perfect.

Yesterday we went shopping at the outdoor outlets. It was chilly and my jean jacket wasn't cutting it but fortunately I fell in love with a beautiful dark blue jacket there and promptly bought it and wore it for the rest of the day. Doing our bit for the economy haha.

Have a wonderful Caturday Saturday girls and (((hugs))).
Leaving you with a photo of HRH looking at Greg as he took her photo. Caption reads "Gotcha!"

Hello lovelies

The weather here is beautiful, so glad it cooperated for Harry & Meghan’s special day.

We Brits know how to do pomp and circumstance, the chapel looks beautiful, the choir is wonderful, the music, the singing, everything just perfect.

We have taken several American friends to Windsor Castle when they visited us, so if any of you want to see it, come on over :D

We’re also close to Hampton Court Palace, Kew Gardens, Runnymede and Henry VIII’s hunting lodge, we can offer very reasonable rates

We’re going to friends for dinner tonight, that’s about all we’re doing this weekend.

Have a great weekend NIRDI friends :wavey:

Sharing one photo of the happy couple. Wishing them health, happiness and love always.

Hi NIRDI’s!

Missy, I love your BIL’s saying about Costco. I am glad they are going to replace the cracked filling right away. I am sure they know if the person they are moving is flexible with their appointments. I move appointments sometimes for our dentist. Their receptionist / bookkeeper is a sweetheart and I am always glad to help her out. Your new jacket sounds great. Great picture of HRH and of course the great view.

PierreBear, I totally feel your pain on those international trips. I always had more angst and anxiety when Marty was overseas too. My stalking app always made me feel better though because we didn’t talk or text much (too expensive and different time zones) but I could always tell at least his phone was kind of where he would be. Thank goodness for email. That bracelet would be new but if my mom’s heart pendant looks like it “fits” in I will get it. I might go look tomorrow.

Austina, it is very fun to pick things out for a new house. It’s daily trips to the hardware store for at least the first few weeks. I thought of going out to look at drapes today but we were otherwise occupied (see my story below). i would say today was a good day to stay home; I am sure there were crowds everywhere. Did you watch the wedding?

I checked out some of the Harry and Meghan pictures online. I saw where she picked the crown who originally belonged to Queen Mary and was inherited by Queen Elizabeth. The pictures later of them going to the reception showed her wearing Diana’s EC aquamarine. That stone is huge. I hope they have a happy and blessed life.

We had our astronomy last night then went out for a late supper (breakfast was more like it). When we came out of the meeting there was a huge, bright rainbow so naturally I had to get a picture.

Yesterday while Marty was on a conference call he was in our website and accidentally deleted our club’s website. It was ALL gone. He even posted a message on the page that said “due to stupidity this website is temporarily down.” Let me first say I am DELIGHTED it wasn’t me who did that. Today we spent most of the day rebuilding it and we only got irritated about 6 times. Score! Marty uses Wordpress in GoDaddy which I don’t know very well and let’s say my patience with learning new things is limited. But hey we survived. I was really getting agitated that I keep getting kicked off the internet.

We are having a chilly day with lots of rain. Our window isn’t leaking though. Sweet.

Here is a picture of a Snoopy jar Marty found online. I put my star lights in it.

Take care.

Good morning girls and happy Sunday. Sun is peeking out for a short while that is. Hope everyone is having a lovely day.

@marcy glad you enjoyed a good astronomy meeting and dinner out afterwards. Gorgeous photos as always. Science rocks. And also gorgeous photos of the royals too. Bling rocks. And love that Snoopy jar Marty found online. Snoopy rocks and so does Marty. You sure got a lot of rocking going on there Marcy.:P2
Oh no to Marty deleting the club's website but I totally get how you were relieved it wasn't you. LOL. Hope you have it completely restored now.

@Austina hope you had a lovely time out with friends last night and are enjoying the rest of your weekend.

@canuk-gal hello there, hope your hip is all better and you are enjoying cycling and walking in the lovely weather.

@Tekate hope you are having a wonderful trip.

@CJ2008 (((hugs))) and hope the rest of your weekend is going well.

We had a good day yesterday. Running errands and shopping at Trader Joes and Costco and buying lots of organic fresh veggies and such. And had a lovely fire going in the evening and were cozy comfy with the kitties. In the morning Greg was cleaning out his workshop and all the dust from the kitchen reno project that had settled down there. Doesn't he look adorable in his little dust respirator.:P2

Have a funday Sunday ladies.:appl:

Hello lovelies

Another gorgeous day here

Thanks for joining in the wedding fever, it certainly was a great day, and made me feel proud to be a Brit

We had a nice evening with friends, we were glad to be going out as one of the neighbours had a loud party going on all day. It was still going on when we got home, at 11pm, but fortunately stopped shortly after.

You must’ve been  :-o :x2 at Marty deleting your website @marcy thank goodness you were able to sort it out.

That was a great find, and the lights look good in it.

Boo to bad weather, but at least the window didn’t leak.

Yay to finding lots of good veggies @missy , I hope you can make something delicious and appetising so you eat till you’re really full. It’s awful that you’ve been so hungry lately.

I swear you and Greg could put on sacks and you’d still be the most glamorous couple ever!

What a contrast in our weathers!

Did lots of laundry today and dried it outside, perfect drying conditions.

Hope all the NIRDIs are having a great weekend :wavey:

Hi NIRDI’s!

Missy, so I guess i rock. Ha Ha!!! We did get the website up and running with all essential info. I might tweak it here and there (if I can figure out that WordPress.) We were working on it until almost 9 pm. Greg does look cute in his dust mask. What a feeling of accomplishment though getting his workshop clean. How are you feeling? Have you found some protein you want to eat? I’ve been worried about what you can eat. I had some questions about Frontpoint; you said it can do everything - remote monitor, house security, remote locks? I see they are rated really well. Thanks for the info.

Austina, I have watched quite a few videos of the wedding. Pictures of the tiara she wore didn’t show it in flattering light; but it certainly sparkled in videos. I was curious about that. I thought it was a pretty tiara and not overly flashy. Oh no to a loud party going on; I am glad it wrapped up soon after you got home. I think there was a graduation party going on at one of our neighbors yesterday; there were cars in front of our house and one blocking part of our driveway. Marty had talked to them and told them they could park on that side of our house. I was highly amused that Marty Mr. Tech guy deleted our website. It is truly something I’d do. I didn’t enjoy the few apples / oranges conversations we had. We don’t speak the same language and rather than answer my questions he wants me to “learn” something so those get slightly heated. Not bad but not normal conversations. I thought Marty did good at finding that Snoopy jar for me.

I am setting here wishing I believed in naps; I am pretty tired. Marty woke up about 4 am; which means I woke up too. He showered and got dressed so I was wide awake by the time he left at 5:30. I finally got back to sleep about 7.

Marty is heading to LA this evening but went down and got in line to buy pre-sale tickets for a concert at Red Rocks. They said you couldn’t get in line before 8; when he arrived some people were already in line. Tickets went on sale at 10 am. He made it to the window at about 1:30 pm. He said he was freezing and his feet were killing him. I hope he loves his concert next fall.

When I got back up around 9:30 I did go look at that heart bracelet; the heart pendant my mom had is smaller than those charms so I didn’t buy it. I may keep looking for a bracelet that has slightly smaller charms on it. Then I returned something to Bed, Bath and Beyond and went out to lunch.

I don’t see any movies on Video on Demand that is catching my attention. Darn.

Have a great day.
Marcy
