Now I really did it :((

Good morning girlfriends! I’ll be heading to New Jersey today so will just say hi and talk to you guys on Monday. My husband’s cousins get together once a year and catch up...I’ll be bringing Bailey to his resort hotel..hahaha...and then packing everyone up...We’ll be back tomorrow but it will be a long two days. Too bad I can’t see you @missy...:cry2: but we won’t be there long and you have your hands full. Hoping for next year!
Have a great weekend! :kiss2:

Hello lovelies

Have a great time in Dallas this weekend @junebug17. What a relief that things aren’t as bad as predicted in SC, hope your home is safe.

Enjoy your happy things this weekend @AV_ you deserve a break from all that brain work!

Wow @marcy, no wonder Marty is pleased, I’ve seen those rings on IG, and they really are so different to the norm. Good luck with the open gym today, hope it brings in lots of business for Marty.

I hope you’re continuing to improve @Tekate, and that you’re not in pain today. Everything crossed this one takes

Hi @bling_dream19 do you have any plans for the weekend?

Cute pendant @Mamabean, you certainly deserve to treat yourself now an again with everything you have going on in your life. I’m looking forward to seeing (all) your other projects :P2 I hope you’re able to enjoy a nice stress free weekend and some me time.

Hopefully one day @canuk-gal you’ll be able to visit Austin for some BBQ and brisket :lickout:

I think it’s become the norm to talk about anything @missy, including pet accidents, as those of us with pets have been there and done that! The kitties are looking quite serene ATM, and hopefully are used to their regular baths and treatments and finding it slightly less traumatic.

Well at least you now have a diagnosis, so fingers crossed the new prescription will tackle it and stop you itching.

We’ve just spent the last couple of hours wrangling the head board. Oy! Apart from the fact it’s big and heavy, I had to decide where to put the fixings. I can’t tell you how many times I measured the walls before marking them up for the brackets, checked my markings with the spirit level before committing to drilling the holes. Once that was done, I had to measure the back of the head board to put the fixings on that. When that was finally done, we then had the job of hefting the headboard into position. Give Colin a column of figures he’s fine, but anything practical :rolleyes2: I couldn’t get him to see that there was no point holding the headboard away from the wall, as the fixings meant that the headboard had to slide on to them. After much muttering and jiggling, we did it!! It looks great, but there’s no way I’m ever do that again.

Replacement curtains and the other picture arrived yesterday, so just the furniture to come on Thursday, same day as the old bedroom furniture is being collected by a local hospice charity.

We’re off to to our friends this evening, we getting take away as our Indian restaurants are much better than anything around there way.

Have a great day lovely NIRDIs :wavey:

Morning everyone! @AV_ I LOVE those earrings, looks like they sold so some lucky person gets to wear them. @missy you are the diamond dangle earring queen and your observations are helpful. I hope your kitties are getting better and your having fun. You're such a sweetheart. Enjoy the shore wish I was there this weekend. @Mamabean really love your cherry pendant, so much fun! @marcy I love PB cookies, and you are so kind hearted and caring, your hubby is lucky to have you. My colleague just sent me a recipe for pumpkin bundt cake cream cheese frosting. My fiance's birthday is coming up soon, I think I'm going to make that for him. @Tekate you are so much fun! Hope your pain is going down and gone, dental work is no fun. You are reminding me I need to find a dentist and be checked out. I have been remiss in not going for many years and will change that soon. We need more pics of beautiful Ever
I am home today, thankful to be not working. It was only a 3 day week but it got me good! Going to go to costcy :geek2::love: I think i will wear my princess studs. My fiance says we are going out to dinner tonight so that will be nice. We grilled out pork chops last night and talked with some neighbors. I'm waiting on a bling arrival...5 vintage items from etsy that should be here Tuesday...so I'm really excited! Going to enjoy this stunning weather, take some walks, relax and enjoy life. Love and hugs to ALL for a relaxing and restorative weekend.

Hi NIRDI’s!

AV, I am glad I mentioned things that are dear to you. I bet fresh almonds are awesome. I think the band I won is very cool. I am sure Marty will like it. A constellation pattern would be very cool but tiny on a band. There is some jeweler that has constellation jewelry with real diamonds; it is pricey. Orion is something like $15,000. The little Dipper dangle earrings are quite charming. I think an Etoile band would work for a setting; my current band is WF’s 3mm scattered diamond band they added a head to for my diamond. Good luck getting some of your work done. The opening was nice; he didn’t have a ton of people but some people came by and stayed for a while but it’s hard to gauge their interest. Marty’s client who is deployed to Africa right now dialed in through FaceTime. He was jealous I brought PB cookies so I promised him a large batch of cookies when he gets back.

Missy, I love watching lightning and storms but like you say from a distance. Mother Nature is fascinating but only when she isn’t messing with you directly. I was so excited to win a ring; I need to enter more contests. I know you have won some very cool things. How is that pretty new ring? You are very welcome; I wish there was something I could do to help you and Greg through this RWgate. We certainly are having shorter days. I hope the topical medicine gets rid of your eczema. I hope you added some more miles to you summer total today.

Mamabean, have a fun and safe trip.

Austina, I think the CP rings are very cool too. I was excited to win something. I hope Marty picks up a few more clients. He said today with the 3 he signed yesterday he has enough income for the rent and utilities - including his monthly payment. Glad you got the headboard mounted; sounds like a chore. I am glad to hear it looks great. I bet you are excited to get everything set up. Marty and I don’t work well together on projects, we both would rather do it ourselves. Have fun with your friends this evening.

BlingDream, thanks for mentioning PB cookies, I think I’ll get myself a few out of the freezer. The pumpkin cake sounds great especially with cream cheese frosting. That is the best part of carrot cake and I don’t really like frosting. Thanks - I try to remind Marty how lucky he is to have me. I don’t know I convince him though. Did you score one of those 1 carat PC deals from Costco? They look very nice. Have a nice time at dinner and how fun to be waiting for some bling to arrive.

I got around this morning, did the dishes, lifted and vacuumed downstairs. About then I checked my phone and found a problem at work they wanted me to check. After that I headed to the grand opening. Marty had quite a few friends and clients there. He only had 4 people sign up for his drawing and we will see how interested they are. It seemed to me he had a steady stream when I was there but they consisted of people we already knew. My PB cookies were a hit.

After we packed up everything we went out for lunch and I’ve been working on laundry. I do a Nielsen Survey they send us for $5. I skipped a lot of the personal questions. Someone wants to know my business they can come read by daily “blog” on PS. Ha Ha.

Take care.
Marcy

@marcy Hi Marcy, the ring is stunning, I have noticed that HPD has been showing these types of rings from Ploof, congratulations on naming a ring! pretty awesome, I think the design is cool. A ring that has emotional value cant be upgraded imho, resetting on a Tiffany band, that would be lovely! hope the knee is holding up.. today was another bit o pain day but I am improving.. hate this stuff and will be so glad to be over and done. I like being alone sometimes, when John goes away I get to eat when I want what I want! it may be what I would always eat but I can laze around, but of course I miss John, I'm a clean freak not a neat freak actually, I can move piles here and there while I clean! John hates piles and is neat but a slob. I guess that is why we work. So glad the opening went well, the customers will come, word of mouth is the best way to get customers and I bet once things get out Marty will be fighting them off, so exciting! xoxoxo

@AV_ ooh so sorry your tooth/jaw is hurting, I empathize... get thee to a dentist pronto! :) almonds falling from trees in your yard? My husband would LOVE that. he's an almond afficiando for sure, I love almond butter and jam! have a great rest of weekend and get working because you do want that time off. xoxo

@missy My marvelous Missy, you made me tear up, thank you so much for your kind and generous words Missy, much appreciated, I think we here are just the specialist people.. lucky me to have you as my friend.. xoxoxo to you Missy girl. My mouth was sorer but I believe there is no infection which is GREAT... a lady came today and took tons of pix of the house, it's going on the market in 2 weeks, stress, stress, stress, :) I get eczema behind my knees and Lord it itches Missy I feel for you, hope the meds will work, eventually I put OTC cortisone on my inside knee, I never HAD eczema till the last few years, I think that is weird, although I have had so many skin allergies my whole life I guess it just took a bunch of years to catch up to me. Well a BM anywhere when our fur kids are constipated is fine with me, the kittens look content, I think that is a good sign, I can't wait for you to be out of this RWgate.. I hope you had a wonderful day today, we had a bit of rain and the lady came to take the pix and I just lay around read! it was a good day.

@Austina Hi Austina! I love the headboard on your new board, it's so modern and glamorous! my friend Kath has one similar to yours, she loves hers. Hope the Indian food was delicious and you had a fun evening with your friends xoxox

@bling_dream19 aw thank you so much for your kind and lovely words about my granddaughter I love her like I never thought I would, it's weird, she owns my heart, even my younger son (mr all business and career) loves her adorably, she's got all 4 of us wrapped around her little finger I tell you!.. Please get to a dentist as soon as you can, a good cleaning is good for the soul! So you are engaged! exciting! can you say what year the wedding will be? don't mean to be nosey. OOOH can't wait to see your new bling if you post it, otherwise description please! :) hope you had a lovely wonderful day! sending happy, love dust your way girl! xoxo

@junebug17 How's things going with you lady? I would imagine it's hot in Dallas but tons of great food! xoxo

@Jimmianne YOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO Miss France! how are you and your life in France, the kids? YOU? miss you dropping in once in a while.. I bet you are painting! drop in once in a while I love to hear about our life in France lady, sending a big hug Jimmi! and a lotta love. xoxoxo

Hope everyone had a great day and here's to tomorrow!

xo

GM girls! Happy big dog Sunday.

@Tekate yay for no infection! Keeping good thoughts that continues and you heal quickly and painlessly. Good that photos were taken of your home and now the ball is rolling. It's going to happen fast. I cannot use topical steroids as my body reacts badly to it and I end up with other problems. But so glad it worked well for you. This is the first time I ever got it behind my knees. I think it was from the Rescue we have been spraying on everything including the furniture since the cats sit on our couches but I cannot be sure. You and me both on wanting out of RW gate ASAP. Thanks for your kind and generous loving support. XOXO

@marcy sorry only 4 people signed up for the drawing at Marty's grand opening but it's a start right? And yes to a nice turnout to celebrate the grand opening. Sweet. Speaking of sweet are your PB cookies on the way to us at the shore?:lickout: And sweet is your ring win. Wow that is beautiful. LOVE it. So happy you won it Marcy! LOL about reading the daily blog to know our personal history. Truth. But nice to get paid for it via Nielsen survey. Sorry work interrupted your Saturday and hope today is quiet on the work front.

@Austina good job on accomplishing all that and the headboard placement too. I leave that stuff to Greg and am impressed you did it by yourself. Nice going. Glad the replacement curtains arrived. Hope you enjoyed dinner with your friends and are enjoying the rest of the weekend.

@bling_dream19 ooh that cake sounds divine. Lucky FI. That's how Greg got my heart. He baked me sweet and yummy treats. LOL he had me at those raspberry almond bars he first baked me when we were dating in the 90s. Happy birthday to your FI. And so excited for you to receive your vintage etsy purchases. Please share photos here when it arrives. LOVE getting bling in the mail. Best mail ever.

@Mamabean aww sorry we missed you and hope the cousin reunion went well and that you enjoyed the trip. Next time I hope we can make plans. It was a gorgeous Saturday at the shore and hope the weather was lovely by you too.

@AV_ hope you enjoyed a wonderful Saturday and that your Sunday is off to a nice start too. I hope your tooth is not hurting you at all today but I agree with @Tekate to get to the doctor as soon as you can if it is. Best to nip any issues in the proverbial bud. And yes I am with you. Want and need normalcy. Pretty Please.

@Slick1 hello and good morning and sending you hugs and love.

We enjoyed a wonderful Saturday. Weather was perfect and we cycled 60 miles and enjoyed Days Ice Cream.

Today we gave the cats their meds and are about to start the cleaning and go for a ride. Then it's Monday tomorrow. Already. It gets here too fast. Going to make the most of this Sunday though. Elaine is a disappointment again as she cannot come tomorrow to help us shampoo the cats before their lime dip Tuesday. I am over her and a bit fed up with her too. I am sure you can tell lol because I hide nothing. Anyway we will do it ourselves. It will be harder and longer but if you want something done and done right do it yourself right?

Have a great day girls.

LOL thank you for your lovely compliment and in the eye of the beholder right? And now this ring and setting have me longing for my Bubbalah to be reset in a gorgeous solitaire...maybe I can enlist your help in the decision of what solitaire as I keep getting held up with that. I think I want an 8 prong but I want it to be different than what I had before. For another day as I don't have energy to reset Bubbalah now anyway.

@Tekate where are you and how are you doing sweetheart? Thinking of you and hoping you are feeling better today. (((Hugs))).
I just saw this @missy! I’m in the hotel and trying to catch up..You guys move like lightning!
Are you worried that when you change your setting to a solitaire..my favorite too...you will get DSS because it will be smaller without the halo? Can you visualize it without? My very favorite setting is a solitaire...I love my halo on my cushion...but I still wanted a solitaire too. That’s why I got the AVR moissy from Jon..I love it and get to play with it...It’s so much easier to pair with bands. What is the difference in mm size between the AVC cushion and Bubbalah without the halo? I know they’re different shapes..but maybe you can get an idea. I can’t wait to see what you decide.

Hi Joanne! Did you enjoy yesterday? Yes and yes and yes lol. This thread moves super quick but keeps it lively around here so that's cool :cool2: and yes I am loving the size the halo affords and without it as @LLJsmom wisely said well over a year ago...be careful because once I get used to the halo it's going to be hard going to the smaller solitaire. And she is right. Bubbalah is 10.5 by 10.85 and the AVC is 10.4 by 11.5. Right now Bubbalah in her current setting looks much larger than the AVC solitaire.

avcoutside.png bubbalahbeachandgreen2.jpg

OK done with cleaning for this morning. Whew. We are both exhausted. I am not sure Greg can keep this up much longer and well I am always on the verge of a NB lately. If only the cats start showing us they are getting better and are going to beat this it will give us the energy to continue. But it's a bumpy road. I have to say thank you again to those of you who haven't given up on me and deserted me. Words fail me but know how much I care about each and everyone of you and how much I appreciate your loving support. XOXO.

By the way I also just started taking fluconazole as recommended by the derm. Since we are living long term with RW for now he wants me to take one 200 mg pill a week. Pulse dosing. He feels it might be protective. Sounds far fetched to me but hey one pill a week I can do. And it's worth it if it helps.

Enjoy this Sunday girls!

It is the mellowest day here - reasonably cool (something less than the usual 30sºC at noon) & very humid (for once! - a treat, since much of the time it is so dry my skin is twitching as it shrinks...) in a particular way: there are heavy rain clouds comming down on the mountain side, and I am at their furthest reach at the bottom of the valley. All in all, an unexpected treat, on a day I'd be celebrating anyway - it is my name day (Ana, the first letter of AV_); does anyone keep them anymore? I do not do anything for my birthday, but the name days do not need to get counted ,) so this is kept. Finally, I've got that icecream @missy (nata, dulce de leche, leche merengada & café solo - a not so strong expresso, on the side) & picked a handful of rather great 'roscos' (small, donut shaped cookies of a crumbly vine & lard/olive oil dough, with a airy thin suggar glazing... there exist just over ten thousand versions, so they are always news worth trying.)
This village is barely bigger than NIRDI, and feels the same on days like this.

NIRDI, have as good a Sunday!

_
@Tekate I am keeping up with your kind plans... I can easily trust you are a grand mother & I know Grandmothers!

@marcy I can't say I have seen more than one or two jewelry pieces with some suitably transformed constellation or parts of star maps on them; the best was a disk-like pin, of rock crystal with diamond stars of several sizes and engraving; rings are too small... I'd bet Marty knows the gym is a gift to him at this point, his to grow & return too.

________________
@missy your latest post came in while I am writing. The AVC still looks perfect on. I can picture Bubbalah without a halo, holding its own.

Well that's done! :)

@missy I so hope you start to see some improvement Missy, you and Greg are champions in love and care... I'm amazed you guys and do 60 miles after these crazy days you have to live.. Missy and Greg my champions! I mean I rarely (as seen above) get out of my chair :)

Missy you could keep Bubbalah in her setting, to me it's not a halo so much as flowers, it's quite exquisite and as i said to you many times I am not a fan of halos (just me) but what you have is more like petals.. some halos that are small really get me thinking about doing one, but I always go back to the 1970s for me and my single solitaire.. Bubbalah is HUGE so whichever way you eventually go I am sure will be the right way. The AVC is awesome truly awesome and having seen AVC and AVR moissy I love it. I know you know this Missy but fluconozole is tough on the liver so be extra aware (did I spell fluconozole right? probably not! I think I shut off spell check years ago)! :) Sweet Missy enjoy your Sunday girl, I'd sit outside and just watch the ocean.. so beautiful, sending you happy, HEALTHY, loving thoughts for you, Greg and furkids.. take care and keep your strength up! xoxoxoxo

@AV_ good afternoon to you! I am a crazy Grandma AV but I so love that litte face she makes me a better person, like my dog too.. My kids, they make me a nuttier person for sure xoxoxo

@Mamabean Happy Sunday Lady! and girl it's hard to keep up with which house you are at :) how's your son's and grand? how are you? have a great Sunday Joanne, sending you heaps of love xoxox

bbl hopefully, going to do the brushing, and saltwater rinse shuffle!

xoxoxo

Happy Sunday lovelies

Just a quick post and run, as it’s a busy day here.

Hope all the NIRDIs are having a good day.

We’re killing ourselves hefting the old bedroom furniture down the stairs and out to the garage as the carpets are being cleaned tomorrow in anticipation of the new furniture arriving, and I need to clean behind where it stood. Paint touching up to do too, and a million other things. :wavey:

@Scandinavian just wanted to pop in and say Greg and I are thinking of you and your family and sending continued healing vibes your way and hope your mother is tolerating treatment ok and doing well. (((Hugs))).

@junebug, Have a wonderful time in Texas with DH and DS. I was so relived the hurricane didn’t impact your area badly.

Oh @Tekate, I’m sorry to hear you are in pain with the implant. Mouth surgeries are painful. Did the oral surgeon give you an idea of how you can expect this to be painful? Please take it easy and take good care of yourself. Congrats on listing the house. Is John going to stay at home the whole time you are in Austin? You must be so excited to be spending two months with Autie. Count me in as another one who could eat their way thru Texas.

@missy, WOW on cycling over 5,000 miles this summer. That is quite the achievement. It seems like things have calmed down a little bit for you, Greg and the kitties. I’m so glad you have been able to cycle so much this summer. It’s been a much needed break from everything else you have had going on. Sending dust to you all. I know how happy you will be when this RW nightmare finally ends and you can put it behind you. Your new ring is beautiful. Elongated shapes look lovely on you. I might need to get one of these.

@Austina, I can’t wait to see how your decorating project turns out. You have great taste. It’s going to look lovely. You remind me of my mom when it comes to decorating. She too could do it all too. As a kid my friends always wanted to come over to see what she was redecorating. The house always looked like it belonged in a decorating magazine.

@marcy, How was the Grand Opening for Marty’s gym? The newspaper headline with Marty’s gym pic was so funny. Do you think Marty will need to travel for work a lot or just a trip every once in while? For some reason I thought his traveling had gone down dramatically with his job.

@Mamabean , I hope you have a wonderful time this weekend and you have a great time with DH’s extended family. It sounds like you have had a lot going on lately. I’m sorry it’s been hard. Sometimes it really is important to take a step back and try not to let some of the family stuff get to you when dealing with grown kids. People are going to do what they are going to do. One of my girlfriends has joked since her kids were late teens that as long as no one is going to die it will all work itself out. I’ve repeated this saying more than a few times to myself when dealing with family. Some people love drama even when it comes to really simple things. You have some really difficult things to deal with everyday. You make it look easy Joanne. Please give yourself lots of credit for this. You do an amazing job everyday.

@av, It sounds like you have been busy. I’m glad you have also been able to have some fun.

Thinking of you @Scandinavian and @canuk-gal and hope things are going well.

I’m having the kidney stone blasted later this week. We have been busy helping my parents out lately and I’ve been shopping for fall and winter clothes, boots, and shoes, working in the yard, going to dinner with DH. Not a whole lot new going on here. We are meeting friends for dinner tonight.

HI:

@Calliecake --much success to you this week!

Where is PierreBear????

@Tekate hope you are on the mend. I am dreaming of brisket and BBQ and all that is Tex Mex too! mmmm:lickout:

@missy --big appetite is my middle name!:P2 My clothes are too tight atm.....I dropped to 95 pounds when my husband was sick (among other horrible events) and lost my glorious muscles...but have regained the weight and then some! Oops!:eek2:

cheers--Sharon

Hi NIRDI’s!

Kate, I am anxious to see that ring. It looks very cool. HPD is where I first saw CP rings; they are very cool looking. You are right, sentimental pieces cannot be upgraded. I have 4 pieces of jewelry that are very sentimental to me and I wouldn’t change them. My ACA ring, the Etoile band, the bracelet I had made with the little heart pendant my mom had and my original .15 ct diamond that is mounted in an open heart pendant. I’m with you that I am more of a clean freak than a neat freak. Our house is clean but not totally pristine. Marty definitely has more stuff around than me but I’m not claiming innocence there. I am glad you are doing a bit better and hope you continue to improve daily. Good deal there is no infection. That would stink. My right knee is keeling me right now. I have to keep getting up and moving it. Ugh. The first day Marty is gone I enjoy a clean kitchen but then I start missing him too. We are softies and love our DH. Getting your house on the market and sold will be stressful but I hope it just happens so fast it’s a blur for you.

Missy, I’m embarrassed to say the PB cookies are not on their way. I sent home the remaining cookies from the grand opening with a friend of mine who helped us out and we have been eating the few cookies I froze. Sorry. We are being little piggies here. I have used our posts as a blog to go see what day something happened to me. Too funny. Woo hoo to 60 miles and Day’s ice cream. We had some slow churned ice cream this afternoon; I am sure it wasn’t quite as good. Great pictures and cute closeup of Oliver. Sorry to hear Elaine is a let down. I am sure every day you wonder how long can you and Greg can do this but as you say one minute, one day at a time. RWGate go away!!!

Mamabean, I agree going from a halo to a solitaire may be an adjustment but it’s a different look and I like no distractions from my diamond. As I said before it is a personal preference. I like all jewelry, just no some styles on me. I really like halos with colored gemstones yet I don’t have one (right now).

AV, I am glad you had a mellow day. Tell me more about name day; I am unfamiliar with that. Agreed that constellation jewelry (that appeals to me) is few and far between. I’ll see if I can find that place I like. I hope Marty does well with his gym.

Austina, I feel for you moving everything out and down the stairs. We spent a week or more getting ready for our new flooring and furniture. We had to clean out the den, our closet room and our bedroom. Ugh. Good luck and rest up.

Calliecake, I was teasing Marty I was going to make a photo Christmas card out of the pitchfork headline and Marty’s picture. I might have a few of them made for a gag. Marty hadn’t traveled much all summer; now he is one a big project that they want him in Denver a lot. We will see how that goes. How are you feeling? I hope the kidney stone zapping is quick and painless for you.

Hi Sharon.

I’ve been working on the October article today for the paper and also wrote one up on the astronomical tie to Halloween. I cooked BBQ ribs in the crock pot and we had cottage cheese, corn on the cob with them. Plus some ice cream and PB Cookies.

My laptop is almost dead - must go plug it in.

TaKe care.
Marcy

GM girls. Happy (I hope) Monday.

@junebug17 hope you are enjoying a wonderful extended weekend with family. Sending you hugs.

@marcy aww that's OK. Maybe next time. I thought if I had a few dozen of your PB cookies I could get some of that weight back on me :P2 but glad everyone enjoyed your baking. You have mad baking skillz girl. Well Elaine might show after all. Yesterday she texted me and said she would come this morning so we shall see. No time given. I texted her back after we fed the cats and gave them meds at 4AM and said let me know when you are on your way so we shall see. Greg and I are going to bathe them if she doesn't show. I am glad you enjoyed ice cream as well though it might not have been as good as Days. Any ice cream is generally better than no ice cream right? Speaking of Days today is the first weekday they are closed. We are going to try the place in Asbury park today. Greg's work permitting that is. Yum to corn on the cob and nice to doing the October newsletter already. You are ahead of the game. Sweet. Hope you have a wonderful Monday and that all your employees behave professionally today. XOXO

@Tekate I agree with you re Bubbalah and her setting. Your weekends sounds like so much fun. So glad you are enjoying. Yes we enjoyed the weekend cycling by the sea both days. I think it's Fluconazole. I always add an extra syllable lol. Thanks for the warning. I am taking it once a week for 3 months so hopefully it won't give me any negative side effects but if it does I will stop it. How is your mouth/tooth feeling? Hoping it is healing without complications and sending you buckets of healing dust and lots of love. And by the way, crazy grandmas are the very best grandmas. (((Hugs))).

@missy --big appetite is my middle name!:P2 My clothes are too tight atm.....I dropped to 95 pounds when my husband was sick (among other horrible events) and lost my glorious muscles...but have regained the weight and then some! Oops!:eek2:

Oh no and lol. We have a lot in common Sharon. I have a healthy big appetite but as you know with all we have been dealing with my weight has dropped down and I am exactly that number you reached during that challenging time you went through. I hope to regain my weight back and maybe get some of my muscles back though I never had glorious muscles like you. I wish. Though I did have some and with Pilates and cycling and elliptical workouts I wasn't too bad. But now well all skin and bones. Not a pretty sight no. I look much better covered up these days. Sorry you went through such a stressful time and glad you are back in fighting shape.

@PierreBear is well. She is busy. But she is well. I will write her and tell her you were asking for her @canuk-gal.
Hope you have a lovely week Sharon and enjoy some outdoor fun too. XOXO.

@missy your latest post came in while I am writing. The AVC still looks perfect on. I can picture Bubbalah without a halo, holding its own.

Thank you dear @AV_ yes I agree with you. I also agree with @Tekate who wrote it isn't like a typical halo and Bubbalah's setting as is is very beautiful. I keep vacillating back and forth lol. Glad you had a peaceful easy weekend and hope your week brings to you all you hope for dear AV.

@Slick1 sending you (((hugs))) and love and continued healing vibes sweet friend. Have a good workweek.

@Mamabean how was your weekend? Hope you enjoyed the reunion with the cousins and all went well. And that you had a good trip back. Sending you hugs.

@Austina hope your furniture filled Sunday went smoothly. XO.

@Calliecake glad you had a nice visit with your family and that your kidney stone is behaving and not bothering you and that you have an appt to blast it gone. Good luck. Sounds like everything is under control.

@Scandinavian continued healing vibes to your mom and hugs from me and Greg to you. Hoping all is going smoothly by you dear girl. XOXO

We had a good Sunday and the weather has been just amazing. Cycling, ice cream and being by the sea with my dh. Perfection.
Today is bath day in prep for L-S day tomorrow. Lots going on here. We are tired but continuing to plug away at RW praying what we are doing is making a difference and allowing our cats to beat this RW. We are all ready for RW gate to go bye bye. Anyway have a wonderful Monday lovely ladies.

and when we got home one of our ferals was just hanging out in our backyard enjoying the scenery. He is the brave one who just looks at me when he is on our porch and I open the door to get our packages. LOL he is an alpha male for sure.

We haven't named him yet...

Enjoy a wonderful Monday girls.

Hi Ladies! Sorry it's been too long. Thanks @missy for sending me a note. Though I'm not active on PS, I honestly do think of this wonderful community very often. I'm still hanging in there and trying to keep myself out of trouble and I guess reflecting back on the changes, pack in life almost too much. Still doing the full time job + part time job. No culinary classes this year but taking a class through my church, which actually has tons of homework and reading! Other than that, still trying to keep up with the workouts as well and no big races of the year but probably will join in on a charity trail run in the fall.

@canuk-gal - Thanks for thinking of me. Glad to see that you are still cycling. I got back on the bike two weekends in a row. Finally getting cool enough over here to want to ride. Just doing short road rides but think I might have to retire my saddle. I have used a Terry saddle, which embarrasses the heck out of me as it has one of those really cheesy butterflies on it. However, it was my first saddle that kept me relatively pain free for longer rides. Gosh at least 10 years later... I still remember the challenges of trying to find a new saddle again. Hope you are doing well though!

@Austina - Yippeee new furniture? How exciting. Hope to see some before/after pictures.

I know I've missed some of the originals I've kept up with in the past and just wanted to say hello! So glad to see some new faces on here too. Will try to check in more often from time to time. Don't worry, no purchases will be done without ya'lls consult but I've been very content with jewelry!

@missy you need to keep up your strength, fluconawhatever is a strong med, you exercise, please keep your weight up, I understand how you feel, when my ******* first husband left me for a 19yr old girl when I was 32 I dropped 30 lbs in like 3 weeks, stress and depression causes lack of apetite for some, I usually eat but when I am bereft I can't.. I know you are a smart woman so I won't harrass you but just remember besides the kids and family and Greg! there are us who want this to end for you and there is us who hold you dear to our hearts.. remember MISSY! don't forget her in your giving to everyone else.

@Scandinavian Jeez Louise Scandi, how is your mom, I haven't forgotten you I've just been caught up in the KATENESS of life and my jaw :) I so hope your mom is doing well and you are coping very well. xoxo

@canuk-gal wow Sharon that was a big huge loss (I could use a loss like that right now) but it's NEVER good to lose weight because of stress, I am sorry if I missed your that your husband had been ill, I sincerley hope he's doing fine now. ((SHARON)).

@PierreBear Great to see you and glad you dropped in! cooking class eh? I would love that.. in my next life I'm going to be a chef. :)

@Austina Can't wait to see pix of your new and updated rooms at your house!

@Mamabean Hi Joanne hope you are having a good Monday lady!

@AV_ Hola and hope all is well this evening in Euroland!

@marcy have a good day at work? Let's hope everyone there was doing their jobs and courteous!!!! Marty get anymore interest?

My jaw feels better today, I don't look for signs of infection because I"m afraid, I'm going to the surgeon Thursday and he can check it out, if there isn't (here's hoping) then I'm done with him.. Yay!!! or oh no, we shall see, pain level much better. We have been having cool nights and we are hoping to use our fire pit thing, we bought it in 15 and use it in the fall here, we will be chucking it out since we are going to build a fire pit in Texas (I think :) ) Today I cleaned a LOT I now have bleach hands, even though I have the cleaning service I never feel like my home is clean, it's weird but it started when I was 2 if I remember correctly :) my parents had an old, ramshackle house with a REAL claw tub and there was part of the tub I hated beause I thought it was scary! that was the beginning of my and my love of bleach, and comet! moved on the newer stuff over the years, but I do recognize I have OCD with cleaning.. at this point it's not out of control and it's a better OCD to have vs say handwashing. My sister wouldn't let me visit her house because she was a disguting house keeper, TRUE, and she made very very good money but she never ever ever cleaned, but when I visited I spent days cleaning everything, I don't get how people can't see it. When she died and I was insane and running around the house cleaning, making food etc, I went to the microwave and my nephew Danny says 'NO dont open it I don't think it's been cleaned for 5 years! Aunt Kate" well he was right.. I know she was sick so I give her slack but not that much, it was gross, so I got the frantic and she got the lazy cleaning gene :)

Yesterday was grandparents day and Cara sent us a pix and a lovely note from our Autie! This was her yesterday, that baby loves to relax! she does this to see her feet move and she's not even 5 mos yet.. I have a video Cara sent of Autumn having a bath and she's kicking up water and she puts her arms behind her head to hold her head so she can see her feet moving.. she is a joy and funny! Happy Week to everyone and mucho love.

@Calliecake dang girl I somehow cut off some of my post. Callie sending you healing and loving dust that the zapper zaps and you have no pain and you are happy.. I appreciate all your kind words Callie I really do, lucky to know you. Family is everything! sending good happy joyous dust that the zap is th end of any pain and problems for you dear lady! xoxoxo

@missy, I'm wishing all the kitties well and hope this RW ends soon, and sending lots of healing vibes for Fred. They all look so sweet. Ollie is such a love. I hope Elaine was able to come to bathe them. Yes, life is better when no distractions are needed in the first place and I really hope life returns to normal for you soon. Love the video of your new ring, it's gorgeous!

@Calliecake, sending lots of good thoughts and best wishes for a smooth procedure. It will be such a relief to have this behind you. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts. I'm glad you've been feeling well and I hope you had a great time at dinner with your friends.

@Mamabean, looking forward to seeing your swiss topaz ring! Love the cherry pendant, it's adorable...you find the best things. Hope you had a great time in NJ.

@marcy, thank goodness you noticed it was turkey gravy! dh wants to try a new sandwich at Arby's...I think it's chicken on Hawaiian bread? I'm sorry Marty is going to have to travel again, not good timing at all. Congratulations on winning the contest, love the ring!

@AV_, your weather sounds wonderful - No wonder you love it there LOL. I wish I could sample some of your baked goods. Hopefully you're starting to make progress on your work...I want you to enjoy the winter months! I love the earrings you posted, so much that I was going to consider them for a Christmas gift if they lasted that long...which they didn't! My husband will probably be happy about that LOL.

@Tekate, hope you're feeling better with each passing day (((hugs)))...mouth pain is awful. Fingers crossed there is no infection and I hope you get positive news from the surgeon on Thursday. SUCH and adorable pic of Autie! Love her. And sending lots of support on getting the house ready...selling a home is stressful on several different levels. Please take care and rest when you need to.

@Austina, wow, what a job getting that headboard attached! I'm so glad it worked out, good for you for figuring it out and getting it done. Redecorating is a lot of work, good luck with it all; the end result will be worth it.

Hi @bling_dream19! Hope you had a nice night out with your fiance. And yay to getting some vintage pieces from etsy, would love to hear what you got! Sounds like you had a great weekend planned, hope you enjoyed it.

@canuk-gal, I'm sorry to hear about your husband's illness and hoping all is well now, (((hugs)))

We got back from Dallas today - we had a great time, and dh's team won. Went to a couple of really good restaurants and went on a stadium tour. I unfortunately came down with a cold right before we left but thanks to coffee and Advil I was able to plug through LOL.

Sending love to all! <3

Hi NIRDI’s!

Missy, I think the PB would be crumbs when they arrived at the beach. I can try my CC cookies though. They might survive. My cookies are best fresh though. Hopefully that can be arranged some day, eh? I hope Elaine did show up today and helped. Did you go for a ride? Did you try the new place for ice cream? I too hope all of your hard word for RW Gate pays off and SOON! Great pictures and love the feral napping.

PierreBear, it’s good to hear from you. You are certainly keeping busy.

Kate, one of my trouble makers went home before 10 since her daughter got sick at school. Marty has not got any new clients but did have the first training session with those 3 retired ladies from the guard and I guess that went well. I am glad your jaw feels better today. I bet people want you to come stay with them so you’ll clean the house. True story I swear people invite me to parties because I won’t leave until everything is picked up and dishes are done; even I am doing them myself. I am sure you get that. Marty has our TV stuff torn apart right now and I dusted what I could and put a clean swifter over there for him to use. Autie is so cute; that smile is awesome.

Sharon, I missed you lost so much weight when your husband was sick. I hope things are way better for both of you now.

Junebug, that new sandwich does look really good. I am thinking it’s the BBQ chicken one? It is bad timing for Marty to travel. Especially since our receiver won’t display a picture. I can hear the football game. I am glad you had a fun time in Dallas and glad you made it through even though you had a cold. I hope you are feeling better now. It’s always nice to get home when you are sick.

I couldn't fall asleep last night; my right knee was going yo ' b*tch! About 2 am I got up and put aspercreme on it and took Advil. I feel asleep sometime after that. The knee is better tonight but not great. I stopped by Marty's gym on the way home. My good friend and another one of Marty's clients wanted me to come lift with them; I just went in to say hi. My friend brought us some black forest cake with cherries soaked in brandy. It didn't suck. Then I went to 3 McDonalds looking for the NASA Snoopy toys and books. I have all of them for me but one book which my sister picked up for me and I have 2 books and 1 toy to try and find for my sisters. My nieces are covered now.

I was anxious to get home I've been marathon watching 10 seasons of Jag and the last 2 episodes are on my DVR. I get out some of that cake to eat, got a huge glass of ice water and turn on the TV - NOTHING happens. I look over there and see our tuner / receiver is unplugged which means the set top box is unplugged. WTH??? I called Marty and asked what's up with the Marantz being unplugged? Apparently it overheated today. Yes, I have 2 other TV's but they are all run off the set top box that is unplugged. Marty is going to have to buy me that tanzanite ring now. Or maybe another tuner / receiver???

Take care.
Marcy no TV

GM girls, it's Lime Sulfur Dip Tuesday.

@junebug17 thank you sweet Junie. I am happy you had a wonderful time in Dallas with your family and yay for your DH's team winning.:appl:Glad you enjoyed some yummy food too but so sorry you came down with a cold. I am glad you made it home safely and hope you are feeling better very soon. Sending you healing hugs and love. Thanks for the compliment re my AVC Moissy. Who knew I would love a moissy. This is the first one I ever saw IRL and iI have a feeling this is a cream of the crop moissy. Haha it autocorrects to Missy... I always take 1000 Vit C every four or so hours when I have a cold and it seems to help that and small amounts of Zinc. I don't know if you believe in the power of Vitamin C but perhaps if you aren't feeling well you can try it. It's water soluble so what you don't use you will leave your body. Feel better dear Junie!

@Tekate I am so happy your jaw is feeling better today and I totally understand you not wanting to look too closely. Praying you have no infection and that it heals without any issues. I get it sweet kate and I am continuing to think good thoughts for you and sending healing dust your way. Please don't clean too much and I hear you on bleach hands lol. I think I got a big eczema flare on my legs because of all the cleaning and products we are using to clean. I will say our house is pretty clean. I know how stressful it must be getting your house ready to sell and I am sending you lots of good luck sale dust.

I am also sending you so much good luck for your Thursday follow up with your surgeon and praying for a good visit. Thank you for caring about me and my health and I appreciate it dear Kate. I am eating I swear. I think stress and cleaning equals weight loss. I am burning lots of calories vacuuming and mopping and disinfecting daily. It's a lot of cleaning we do every single morning and it is non stop for us for over 2 hours cleaning each day. I am moving for all that time. Vacuuming then wet mopping then sponge mopping the Rescue onto the floors and doing all the laundry many loads a day. And cleaning all the surfaces not just the floors. It's pretty exhausting and I think that is the main reason I have lost some weight. I need to put about 15 lbs back onto my body but I am confident once RW gate is over I will have no problem putting the weight back because we won't be cleaning like this on a daily basis. I just hope and pray that day comes because right now I need to have an end goal in sight after all these days...45 days I think?

Sweet Autie is precious. OMG that smile. It's unreal. She is a gorgeous little girl and please hug and kiss her from me when you next see her. What a sweet charmer she is.:kiss2:

@marcy aww you are a sweetheart. No worries on mailing baked goods. Honestly I have to stay away from Gluten anyway and only Greg is patient enough to bake me gluten free goodies. I do not expect my friends to do so too. But I love you for caring. We did go for a ride and Elaine did show up. More on that below but suffice to say I am not asking her to come again. I am so sorry you are having trouble sleeping. Greg and I feel your pain as we are not sleeping more than 3 hours a night lately and it is getting to Greg. I am sort of used to it but he does much less well than me on too little sleep. I am sorry your knee is giving you so much trouble. I wish I could offer you to come to our home in Brooklyn and go to HSS and we would take care of you but right now we are in NJ for a long while I think. However when life calms down and RW gate is over (please please please let that happen sooner vs later) you are invited to stay and be our guest while you recuperate from knee surgery at HSS if you so choose. I love my surgeon but he only does trauma surgery. However Greg has his knee surgeon picked out and maybe you guys can do knee replacements at the same time? I just thought of that. I love that idea. 8)

Oh no to the TV box being unplugged and missing one of your favorite shows. Yes you do need that Tanzanite ring now. I agree. Hope that issue gets sorted out and you get to catch up on Jag. Do you have on demand so you can watch them that way?

@AV_ how is your week going? How is the weather by you? Sending you big hugs.

@Mamabean cannot wait to see your new ring. And any other bling you have to share with us. You are cleaning up lovely lady.:appl:

@PierreBear so nice to see you here and glad life is going smoothly and you are enjoying your gorgeous ER. Sending you hugs and looking forward to seeing you IRL one day. Enjoy a wonderful week.

@Slick1 sending you hugs and love and continued healing dust.

@Scandinavian sending your mom more dust for this challenging week and hope she starts feeling better. Sending you hugs and love.

@bling_dream19 hi there, hope your week is going well. Did the vintage etsy pieces arrive? I cannot wait to see them and I hope they are as beautiful as you want them to be. Hugs.

Elaine came yesterday morning early (6:30AM) and helped shampoo the cats but she didn't leave the shampoo on long enough as she was rushing so I am not going to ask her to come back. It is super stressful for the cats to get shampooed and if we are going to do it it needs to be done right and has to be left on for a full 10 minutes at least. I realize that with 4 cats that's a lot of time but this is what it is. So Greg and I are not going to enlist her help again.

Work was busy for Greg but we were able to ride and he just did calls along the way and we stopped more than usual but it worked out well. We had a good ride and enjoyed Ice Cream at the new (for us) place in Asbury. It was very yummy. And expensive. But worth it.

LOL can you tell I like ice cream and ice cream photos? :lickout:

Today is another busy day. Gave the cats their meds and food and next up is cleaning the entire house then bringing them for L-S dips and hopefully getting a ride in between work calls etc. Have a good day lovely ladies and see you later. Hugs.

Just finished reading the NIRDI news & must go - as usual! (else I miss the grocer - stuff sells by noon, he shuts at two - it is a good schedule if one keeps it!)

Have a good day too...

Hi Girls! Sorry I've been quiet the last few days but I've been thinking about each of you.
@Austina Hi Austina - you have mad decorating skills! Everything is coming together beautifully - you have a good eye. And there's nothing like a clean, well decorated home. I used to be into decorating and going into HomeGoods a couple nights after work, but I'm fairly content now and bling has taken over lol!
@missy thinking about you girl! Praying those kitties get better so you don't have to clean!!! It's beach and biking weather=)2
@Tekate I hope you are feeling better. And if I ever get to Austin TX I will be going to that Tex-Mex restaurant! And your granddaugter is just soo cute! I was actually meaning more pics of Ever - your ring :mrgreen2: but pics of both are great! I hope you are resting and recovering and no more pain. Exciting about new house!
@marcy hope you're having a great week and Marty's gym is a hit! And I hope you get that gorgeous tanzanite ring! I have my eyes on the tanzanite studs from Costco - just wondering if my diamond jackets will work.
@junebug17 Hi! I am happy to hear you are ok from the hurricane. You have beautiful jewelry.
I am home today waiting for my etsy deliveries!!!! I got home from work last night with a USPS missed delivery sign and I thought for sure it was etsy. So, I went to the post office this morning to mail my goddaughter's birthday present and pick up what I thought was my etsy package. When I got in my car I realized it was my beginner Ideal scope set! Very exciting to have my own tweezers, loupe, scope - lots to learn but it's fun to have tools.
So, the tracking says my etsy package should be delivered today and I am home today so I am just praying it gets here soon. Will keep you all updated.
@av you have such a way with words and excellent opinions on stones, @Slick1 your dress is gorgeous - knockout! @Calliecake Hi There! @canuk-gal Hello!
Love and hugs to all on this gorgeous day:kiss2:

Hello lovelies

Argh @missy, I’m so sorry that Elaine hasn’t worked out, what a shame, but as you say, if she’s not going to do the job properly, what’s the point? Just hope the lime dips with the baths are doing some good and RWGate will soon be over. When you look at that sweet innocent looking face, it’s hard to comprehend the mayhem that little monkey has brought to your lives. I’m glad the weather has been co-operating so you’re still able to get out and cycle and of course, enjoy the well earned ice cream along the way.

Perhaps the interest in the gym will be a slow burner @marcy, I’m sorry the open day didn’t bring more people to sign up. Bummer that Marty has to travel more and be away from home when he’s trying to get the gym up and running. Your cookies always sound so good, but probably just as well you’re so far away as I don’t think (what used to be) my waistline would thank you  Beautiful sunrise photos, the colours are amazing.

@Tekate, Autie seems to be such a happy baby, and is certainly growing fast, that smile must really brighten up your life. Hope you’ve managed to find people to get the work done on the house so that you get top dollar and a speedy sale. What’s the timeframe for the build in Austin?

I’m sorry your husband has been ill @canuk-gal, I hope he’s all better now. What a worry that must’ve been for you.

Glad you to hear you had a good time over the weekend @junebug17 but oh no to catching a cold. We always dose up on echinacea when we feel a cold coming on, I don’t know if it works, but we think it does.

Good luck for the op @Calliecake, hope it all goes well and gets rid of that pesky stone.

Lovely to see you posting again @PierreBear.

I love looking around home decor stores @bling_dream19 it’s a great place to get ideas from :D

Did you manage to get all your groceries before the shops closed @AV_? I don’t think there are any saints days names after me! :rolleyes2:

Well, after flogging ourselves on Sunday, I got a phone call yesterday to say that John couldn’t come and clean the carpets because his van wouldn’t start :x2 I’m sorry to say I didn’t believe his excuse, I’m pretty sure he was tired from the weekend, and I didn’t appreciate that he thought it was ok to put us off. He said he could come another time, but I told him I needed them cleaned before Thursday when the furniture’s due. He’s supposed to be coming tomorrow, but if he doesn’t come, then I’ll have to go and hire a machine and do it myself. We could’ve also moved the furniture in stages rather than doing it all on Sunday and wearing ourselves out. I think you can tell I’m rather peed off!

Been busy ironing the new (replacement) curtains and hanging them and getting all the bedding washing and ironed ready for the delivery on Thursday.

I didn’t go to Pilates because I’m aching all over and knew I wouldn’t be able to do all the exercises

Big wave to al the lovely NIRDIs :wavey:

Hi NIRDI’s!

Missy, definitely all the hard work you are doing cleaning every day is burning off a ton of calories. Wishing RW gate goes away SOON. I do have a great gluten free PB cook recipe but they would be crumbs when you get them. They are melt in your mouth good. I hate to hear you and Greg aren’t get much sleep; that starts to wear you down and catch up with you. Hopefully you can catch a nap now and then but your days sounds very full. My knee is still pretty bad tonight. It is worse sitting than walking which is almost backwards from normal. It seems to go through cycles anymore. Glad Greg has his knee surgeon picked out; I know he is putting it off for now; I guess that is what I am doing as well. Marty did get everything working and hooked back up when he got home last night. All it took was basic trouble shooting 101, unplug everything. I did finish watching the last episodes of Jag. I have been recording them off WGN. That ice cream looks delicious. I hope the lime dips went well.

AV, I hope you got your food.

Bling Dream, thank you. I hope Marty’s gym is a hit too. He did have one more person sign up. Ooh to tanzanite studs. I bet they’d look great with jackets. I’ve had some YG and WG tanzanite studs, some tanzanite dangles, several rings, pendants and bracelets over the years and sold every last one of them. Now, I want some again. I think I’ll go look at that ring tomorrow night. Have fun with your new tools. I can’t wait to see your treasures from Etsy.

Austina, hopefully slow and steady works for the gym. Thank you; I got a great shot of blue sky this morning with some sunrise but i think the brilliant colors were going on while I was in the shower. Maybe someday some of us NIRDI’s can get together and I’ll have to rent a place with a kitchen so I can bring fresh cookies. I hope the carpet cleaner keeps his appointment; I am sure you are very sore and achy from moving furniture and cleaning, ironing and getting ready for your new furniture. I hope you can rest soon.

I met a friend for lunch today and plan on having supper with her tomorrow. Since i usually lift on Wednesday night I decided to lift tonight. While I was in the basement I rounded up trash, towels and assorted used coffee cups and water glasses. Marty is not a neat freak. Since Marty is in Denver through Thursday I decided if I get everything picked up now I can have a clean house for 2 more days.

We have quite a bit of rain tonight. It’s been a wet year for us. Unusual for around here.

Take care.
Marcy

@marcy I'm soo sorry your knee is hurting. I hope you feel better soon.
I just spent last 20 min on my etsy treasures and made 1 wrong move on my phone and the draft is gone! Does PS save drafts? Might do a modified version or wait until the morning.
