Now I really did it :((

Oh @missy I am so sorry for your loss. It's heartbreaking to mourn & want ppl there for support but also not want them there in case of risking illness.

Get some rest & I hope you find peace!

Thank you so much again. We truly appreciate your kind words and support. It has hit us hard for reasons you might not even realize that I cannot go into now. Suffice to say life is hard and your warm and generous comments make it a little less challenging. Thank you lovelies. Thank you. ♥

@MamaBee thank you sweet friend. I appreciate your warm good wishes. I am sorry life is stressful and hope it all works out very well. Hope your DH remains well and you will remain healthy and well and everything goes smoothly at the Maryland house. Sending you bright and blingy wishes and you cannot ever go wrong with an ACA. That much I know. Hugs and love my dear sweet friend.

@Polabowla thank you for coming here and sharing your kindness. It means a lot to me. (((Hugs))).

@Niffler75 thank you dear. How is your sweet little boy doing? He must be so excited. XOXO

@marcy yes and thank you. And ooh don't let Marty get the upper hand. We must think of a good way to get him back once he gets you back lol. Sweet you saw the Comet and worth getting up early for I agree. How is your boss faring? Continuing to think good thoughts for him. Wow 33 comets. That is cool.

@Austina thank you for your kindness. Yay for Zoom Pilates. That is a great way to stay in shape and do it safely. Gracie's eye is improving thank you for asking and so is Oliver's eye. Fingers crossed they both continue to improve. Tommy and Bobby are doing OK but need to irmprove more. We are taking it one day at a time. Holding our breath and hoping for the best but preparing for whatever might come our way. I know you get it. Hugs to you.

@Slick1 thank you for all your generous support. How are you doing? Have you spoken again with your niece? I am so glad you have such wonderful kids and that J is staying with you for now. Hugs and love to you my dear friend.

@Bayek Great Kate the wise and wonderful. I love you girlie and I love your sweet warm wonderful family. No surprise with you as the matriarch. I hope your building is going smoothy and sending you big hugs.

@bling_dream19 how is your week going? Continued hugs and well wishes to you both. XOXO.

@canuk-gal how is the cycling this week? Hope you are getting to enjoy outdoors no matter the sport and hope all is well with you and your wonderful family. Hugs.

@springerspaniel Good luck today!!! To dear Ellie and you and keeping good thoughts for you all and sending bucketloads of healing dust too!

Greg got his biopsy results and it was negative. Whew!
And we actually did go cycling yesterday as the weather forecast improved and after my morning PT session (this is my last week I think as insurance won't cover anymore and for my $30 copay daily it was worth it but not worth $150 per session without insurance) we went cycling yesterday. It was a purrrrfect cycling day lol. And of course ice cream was enjoyed by us both. Dave got some new dairy free flavors and he was so cute. Dave was excited for me to try them. I had to be honest with him though and it wasn't as good as the original dairy free so I hope he wasn't disappointed. He said he won't order the new flavors after they are finished. Oh well, it was worth a try.

Lots to do this AM before we go cycling and wishing you all a very happy and wonderful Wednesday. (((Hugs))).

Mine is banana strawberry and vanilla bean. Greg's is (large) cappuccino mocha crunch and vanilla.

Hi to everyone else and big hugs.

@missy, Hang in there... it must get better soon. You will (probably) not believe this, but both our dogs have had some sort of eye problems too this past week. First I thought it was a bacterial infection, but turned out it was a tear in the cornea on one and iris on the other. Oh well. Starting to get better now. But they also discovered that our youngest dog (3 years old) has cataracts and our oldest is starting to have permanent problems with the iris, like a "string" or something, that will leave her sensitive to sunlight, especially when there is snow. I'll get them to another specialist when holiday season is over and people are back at work.

The days fly by, I have no idea where they are going.

Hugs!

@Scandinavian perhaps she has cataracts from the sun reflecting in the snow damaging her introcular lens? Can you put sun protection on their eyes? UV protection goggles?

Hugs to you and hope all the ocular issues can be resolved. XO. ❤️

Thank you for brainstorming <3 If you are willing, I’ll forward the paperwork from the vet to you when I get them.

Hi NIRDIs! We just dropped Ellie off for her brain surgery and are back home giving extra love to Clyde, our springer that turned 6 yesterday (Avatar picture). Thank you everyone for your warm and supportive thoughts, I really appreciate having all of you wonderful NIRDIs sending out positive energy. I will write again soon, but a couple of quick notes.

@missy -- I am so sorry about Greg's mother. It is so hard to lose a parent. Greg is very fortunate to have you in his life (and vice versa, I'm sure).

@Niffler75 I am eagerly awaiting final hand shots of your lab ruby ring!

@marcy I love the idea of being able to see a comet! Years ago I stayed up really late to see one and it looked just like a smudgy dandelion head.

@AV_ one of my medical school teachers started a lecture about particular medical specialties by saying that there were more horses' asses than horses' heads in the profession. (I hope that translates to something funny in Spanish...)

More later, and thank you for your well-wishes!

Hello lovelies

I’m glad you managed a little ‘normal’ yesterday with your ride and ice cream @missy. I can’t believe how expensive the PT sessions are there, I wouldn’t pay 150 bucks either, that seems really excessive. I’m sure that as you look back and reflect on the past week, there’ll be times when you’ll feel quite overwhelmed, it’s only natural. I’m glad to hear the kitties eyes are improving, and I’m desperately hoping Bobby & Tommy rally and show some improvement. What good news that Greg has the all clear, a huge relief for you.

Hi @Scandinavian I’m sorry to hear the woofers are both having problems with their eyes, I hope it’s something that can be sorted. I wonder if because all of ours had eyebrows, they didn’t have issues with eyes. I do know someone who had the cataracts removed from her dogs eyes very successfully. How are your Mum and Grandmother?

Thinking of you and Ellie @springerspaniel, the waiting is agony isn’t it?

I hope you had a good day working from home today @marcy. Has Marty got you back yet, you need eyes in the back of your head

Hope work is progressing well with the house and pool @Bayek and everything is on track.

Happy hump day lovely NIRDIs, hope you’re all doing well.

I did cleaning and washing today, then we treated ourselves to a lovely Thai takeaway meal this evening and thoroughly enjoyed it :lickout:

Hi everyone
@missy So glad Greg's biopsy is negative and the cats eyes are a bit better.
@springerspaniel Thinking of you today with Elli's surgery and hoping everything goes smoothly.
@Bayek Looking forward to the next installment of the house build. It's really exciting to be sharing the process with you.
Had another session with my son's teacher today. Schools will be breaking up for the summer soon so we are planning what will happen from the start of the new term.
Take care everyone x

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy I hope you and Greg are okay today, the days after are a tough probably because you have more time to think. That’s good Gracie and Oliver’s eyes are doing better. I hope Bobby and Tommy start doing better as well. Big hugs to all of you! Great news on Greg’s test results. Sweet you got to go for a ride yesterday and enjoyed some ice cream.

@Scandinavian oh no; I hope your furbaby’s eyes get better soon.

@springerspaniel sending mega dust to Ellie with her surgery. Sadly many comets (and meteor showers) disappoint. Comet Hale Bopp and Comet Hyakutake were both great comets. This one is the best one I’ve seen since them. Right now we are seeing it in twilight and it’s naked eye now so hopefully in a few weeks that long tail will be obvious in the dark. I don’t know where you live but if you have relatively dark skies close you might be able to see it. I absolutely love what your teacher said about the abundance of horses’ asses. All humor is based on truth.

@Austina nice to have takeaway for supper. I am resting after lifting and contemplating what can I make that requires minimum effort? Our cleaning lady was here today and I worked on laundry so we are both making progress there.

@Niffler75 I hope your son’s school session went well today. Do schools start (if they do) in August there?

I did tell Marty at lunch today you ladies are all asking if he has retaliated yet and he just smiled. Oh oh.

I got up at 4 am today and was rewarded with the comet looking brighter than yesterday. I tried 3 cameras and my cell phone by far got the best shot. I need to charge our DSLR and dig out the tripod to try for a better shot. I went back to bed but didn’t fall asleep until about time for the alarm to go off. I was too excited. If any of you in the northern hemisphere have a clear view to the NE horizon you can find the comet at about 4:15 am. It will be moving to the evening sky starting Sunday.

I met Marty for lunch today and got my lifting done after work.

My boss is returning to work tomorrow so he must be feeling okay.

Take care.
Marcy

GM lovely ladies.

@springerspaniel how is Ellie doing? How did the surgery go? Continuing to send healing vibes and keeping her in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your lovely comments. Hugs.

@Niffler75 glad your son had another good session with his new teacher and that things are coming along smoothly. When does school start for the autumn session? Thanks so much for all your warm wishes.XO

@Austina yay for getting takeout for dinner yesterday and for accomplishing cleaning and washing and all those household chores. Hope you're having an enjoyable and calm week and that Adam and Kim are doing well too. Thank you for your continued good wishes. XO

@marcy nice you met Marty for lunch yesterday and glad your boss is returning to work feeling all better. Hopefully he is Covid negative or he wouldn't risk returning yet. Sweet that photo of the comet. Love it. Cool you got lifting done after work. And woohoo for getting your house clean and laundry done. Nice you can have your cleaning lady come. We are not at that point yet. Appreciate all your good wishes. XO

@Scandinavian of course, I am always here for you and your furry babies. So now it is Oliver's turn to stop eating. IDK what is going on...I got him to eat a food paste (Churro) that @PintoBean recommended. He won't eat any of his regular wet cat food for 2 days now. We are concerned and my sister asked if he is pooping. With 4 cats who the heck knows. I am exhausted with all these cat issues on top of everything else. How is your sweet babies eyes doing? XO

@Slick1 how did it go yesterday? Hoping it went very well and you have a lot to smile (haha get it? Smile!) about. Hugs to you.

Hi to everyone else. We enjoyed a nice cycling day yesterday despite getting caught in some thunderstorms. We tried waiting it out but then just sucked it up and continued with our ride as we were heading home anyway. Got a little wet but none the worst for wear and luckily avoided all lightning. Whew.

Even the geese and ducks here are practicing social distancing. They are much smarter than the humans here who aren't social distancing.

Screen Shot 2020-07-09 at 6.45.53 AM.png

Ice cream of the day. Yummmmm.

Greg got a large again. Medium is my sweet spot for now.

Screen Shot 2020-07-09 at 6.44.12 AM.png

And some cloud photos amidst the storm.

Our youngest furry baby has an underlying immune related system issue. So I worry about that. Think this might be a system failure symptom.
Our oldest is nine, and it might be sun exposure related, after many hours and many years of fun in the snow high up in the mountains. Sigh.
same same with our two legged ones. No changes, for now, which I guess is good news.

@Scandinavian oh no; I hope your furbaby’s eyes get better soon.
Thank you! Starting to improve, thankfully. But I worry for long term.

I tried 3 cameras and my cell phone by far got the best shot.
I love my/your phone camera!

I know how you feel. Dear universe, it’s quite enough now, thanks. My fur babies are better, but I worry about long term problems. Maybe Oliver is getting picky? My babies sure do and strike their way to better food..

Greg got a large again. Medium is my sweet spot for now.
Girl, I thought we were like sisters but tvist proves me wrong. Your ice cream can never get too big! LOL. We just bought an ice cream machine btw, think you might enjoy one too, totally recommend buying one!!

Dear @Scandinavian I’m so sorry about your sweet little furry baby. I hope it’s not serious and she recovers. Sending bucketloads of healing dust both your way.

As for the ice cream haha I know right? I’m not feeling well. It’s the constant worry and stress I’m under. I mean just look at our past 13 months with the cats. It’s incredibly awful. Praying it’s not serious for Oliver. It’s not him just being picky. This is so not his MO.

Sending you hugs and lots of love. ❤️

Oh and please share pics when you make your own ice cream. I have fond memories of making ice cream as a family when we were little. One day I’ll share some hysterical stories of our ice cream making skills. ;)

Hello lovelies

Glad you managed to see the comet @marcy, but ugh to having to get up so early. Nice to getting out for lunch with Marty, your life sounds nearly normal these days.

Oh no @missy, come on Ollie, eat! As if you need any more feline issues. I’m glad you managed to get out and ride, even if it was wet, of course the bonus is always a lovely dish of ice cream. I’m so sorry that life is just one continuing stressor at the moment, I wish there was something I could do to help.

Hope everything went well today @springerspaniel and Ellie is recovering well.

You must be so happy everything is going so well with the school @Niffler75, I did wonder if schools would forego the usual summer holiday in view of being closed for so long.

Keeping everything crossed for the furries @Scandinavian. Have you been enjoying your summer house? Did you get your ring sorted out?

Wet and dreary here today, I managed to do some gardening this morning in between the rain, got quite a bit of dead heading and weeding done. We had our food delivery this afternoon, so that was our excitement for the day

We’re going out for lunch tomorrow at Sue & Rob’s for Colin’s 70th, how on earth did he get so old :-o

Sending big hugs and good wishes to all the lovely NIRDIs :wavey:

GM lovely ladies! Happy FriYAY!

@Austina sometimes wet and dreary weather is just what we need. We have that here today and planning on running some errands later and I have PT early this AM. I hope today is a bright and beautiful day for you and that you and Colin enjoy your lunch with Sue and Rob and happy 70th to Colin! That is a wonderful age. I am pleased to report Oliver is eating now. Who knows what is going on with our crazy cats lol but both Greg and I are super relieved he is eating. Fingers crossed they all continue eating. Sweet you got much needed weeding etc accomplished yesterday and also received your food delivery. Funny, since we have been at the beach we haven't had any food deliveries. I have a feeling I will be exploring that option soon as numbers are increasing here sadly. Have a wonderful FriYAY and happy birthday dear Colin. XOXO.

@springerspaniel how is Ellie doing? Continued healing vibes being sent her way and big hugs to you. Hoping it went very smoothly and she is recovering well. (((Hugs))).

@Scandinavian whatever happened to your ring issue with the stone? Hope your furry babies are doing OK. Sending them continued healing dust and hugs to all of you.

Hey @bling_dream19 I think of you every time we get ice cream at Dave's place. He was in rare form the other day. Curmudgeonly but lovable. Anyway hope you're having a lovely week and work is going A OK.

Speaking of work @canuk-gal hope your workweek is going smoothly and the weekend is almost here. Cycling on the horizon? Today is a no cycling day for us...thunderstorms predicted throughout the day but hoping it clears for the weekend. We are getting HOT weather here soon. In the 90s F all next week. Though we did have a few 90 degree days here this week as well. It felt cooler since fortunately we enjoyed an east wind which brings in the cool ocean breeze. Very manageable temps when we have a beautiful East wind. Anyway I think 90s plus is your kind of weather. Have a lovely Friday and hugs.

@Slick1 I hope yesterday's appointment went very well and you got good news and hopefully a refund. Hugs to you and have a great weekend with your sweet family.

@MamaBee hugs to you. Hope you are having a stress free and good week.

Hi to everyone else. Hope all is going smoothly and a good week is being enjoyed.

Greg and I enjoyed another good cycling day yesterday and the days are just flying by. I got approved for another 7 PT sessions so woohoo for that. Off to PT soon actually. My therapist is so nice because she comes in early just for me since I don't like having so many people around (due to Covid) so she starts her day early just for me. Super sweet. Only 7 more sessions so I have to figure out what weight machine I can get for home if any. That would be amazing if I could get something similar to what I use there. It feels better than free weights and I feel my movements are more controlled if you kwim. The big problem is space because they are so large. Perhaps I will start a thread on it and get some advice. PSers are very knowledgeable though I am not sure anyone here has a weight machine. Maybe.

Have a wonderful FriYAY lovely ladies and hugs to all of you.

Hi everyone! :wavey: Spent a lovely hour today pottering in my garden enjoying my wild flowers and the temperate not too warm weather.
@missy So pleased you have found a PT that is working well for you. How lovely she starts early to help you! ;)2
@springerspaniel How are you? How's Elli? Thinking of you.
@Austina Looks like our school is closing for the summer, so we will be sharing videos and messages online with teachers. It feels like we are just getting started again but have to pause again for 6 weeks! Frustrating!
@marcy Hi, schools start again beginning september here so we will just have to get back on track then. My son has a space themed bedroom and we are buying him a telescope for the autumn! :mrgreen2:
@Slick1 Hi, how are you? How are you feeling?
Hi everyone @MamaBee @canuk-gal @Scandinavian @Bayek @mrs-b.
Will check in again later. Take care x

HI:

Yes @missy I love your temps! We've had a few warm days here but not like that. I took today off, but am very tired from a very busy work week. Did cycle but only half our usual route...my DH golfed in the AM. Very happy to hear the cats are all eating again!

@marcy very cool photo!

@Austina Happy Birthday Colin!

@Scandinavian hope your family and furry family are on the mend.

NIRDI shout out!!!:wavey:

cheers--Sharon

Happy FriYAY sweet friends! Every single day I'm thinking about you Missy. How is your dear Greg doing? My heart goes out to you all each day.
Yay for moodiness! I'm not even going to try to spell curmudgeon on a fri night. He loves yall and wants yall to have fabulous icecream. I miss OG. Please stay safe, lots of delicious food and sending love and hugs each day.
@Austina happy birthday to your stud husband! I second Missy that 70 is a great age. He adores you and I'm so glad.
Lovs and hugs to all. I'm really sorry I haven't been around. Upside is I'm busy at work as I'm paid if a person shows up on phone or video. Downside is I'm working 11 hour days with no breaks. I'm going to figure this out. Sending lots of love!

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy I totally considered not having the cleaning lady come but as Marty pointed out - she wears gloves, she’s covered in cleaners and disinfectant and the house is getting cleaned on a regular basis. I always wipe down all handles and knobs after she has been here. I am so glad Oliver wasn’t eating; maybe he was finally full since he was always so hungry. No you don’t need any more kitty issues or issues in general. Sorry you got wet on your ride but you did see some lovely things and had ice cream. Mmm. It’s lucky you can get ocean breezes to help cool off those hot temperatures. We are hitting the 90’s this week too. That’s great you got approved for some more PT sessions. Sweet. That is very nice of the PT to come in early for you.

@Scandinavian glad to hear your furbabies are better and hope they don’t have any long term problems. That is good your grandmother and mother are the same. I am with you that dish of ice cream can’t be too big.

@Austina things around town aren’t normal but it is way more normal again than larger cities. We try to just go about our lives. I saw a quote from the Florida governor I really liked - he was talking about COVID and said “. . .it may be something that’s part of our lives, but it’s not something that should consume our lives.” I think at this point it’s not going away so adapting and trying to live a normal, routine life as much as possible is the best we can do. Glad you got some deadheading done in the garden. I looked to see if I should do that yet but the hail really mowed down those plants; I am starting to think they aren’t going to come back. Have fun at lunch tomorrow with your friends. Happy Birthday to Colin tomorrow.

@Niffler75 that’s great your weather has cooled off and you enjoyed time in your garden. That is frustrating on the uncertainty of when or if schools will open. No one really knows what to do for sure. That is awesome your son’s room is a space theme. One of the easiest and best beginners telescopes ever is Edmund Astroscan. They no longer make them but I see they have some on Ebay UK. They are listed as Vintage Edmund Astroscan. They are pretty portable and give decent views of brighter objects. I had one when I started in astronomy, sold it when I got a larger scope and once I started teaching I had the school buy me one again. I use it frequently.

@canuk-gal I am glad you took some time off after a busy week. I hope you rest up this weekend and get time to go for some bike rides.

This getting up at 4 am is making me tired. I go back to bed but it takes a while to go back to sleep. The comet moves to the evening sky early next week but there is no way I'll be able to see it from our house. Bummer. Of course I never mind seeing something cool in the sky.

I started my day at the dentist. They have changed their policy recently in that you can go in to the waiting room (masked and social distancing) if it is already your appointment time. Before they were calling you on your cell phone to come in and go straight to your room. The dental hygienist wore a plastic jacket, a mask and a face shield. The only thing they do different is they won't spray the water in your mouth to rinse it out since it splashes. Since they have to clean between clients the appointments get behind quickly.

After the dentist I ventured to the grocery store. We are having a couple over tomorrow for supper and cards. I totally figured out to to keep it pretty safe. Our table is about 4.5 x 9 feet so we'll set at one corner to eat and they can set at the other corner. I didn't buy any snack food to put out at all. It took me a while but I came up with a safe way to play cribbage. One person will run the scoreboard. We will all have our own deck of cards and turn over 4 cards at a time for our next hand. One person will have another deck of cards to turn over for the bonus card we all can use. We'll forget the crib. Marty's poker table is pretty big so we can all take a side and be good there. I think I'll fold some paper towels up for the guest bathrooms so community towels won't get used. That's probably as safe as I can make it. We are having tenderloins, asparagus, potatoes and mini cheesecake.

I enjoyed my day off of work. I met Marty for lunch again and informed him how lucky he was to have lunch with me 2 days this week.

I did amuse myself tonight while making Bing cherry compote for the cheesecake; I told my friend coming to dinner tomorrow it took me forever to chew up all of those cherries to spit out the pits. I actually wore some food prep gloves; what a mess but at least my fingers aren't stained.

Take care.
Marcy

Hi @bling_dream19 that is too bad you have such long days of work. I hope that settles down a bit to more manageable hours. Hopefully you can relax this weekend.

When i was teaching and working I hated June. I had 35 days without a single day off. I had my day M-F job, taught classes on campus on M & W evening, had usually 2 online courses and taught all day Saturday and Sunday at an outreach college 35 miles away. Marcy had a bad case of the crankies in NO time.

GM lovelies! Happy Caturday Saturday.
We are off cycling very very early this AM as rain is due here before Noon. As soon as the sun rises here we are off cycling. LOL we are crazy cyclists what can I say. But that early hour means no ice cream because Dave doesn't open til Noon and we are 20 miles from his ice cream shoppe so will be missing ice cream from Dave again today. Oh well.

@Niffler75 thank you sweet lady. How wonderful you got to enjoy your garden and all the beautiful wildflowers yesterday. How is your weekend going? Any outdoor activities planned? I think soon our outdoor activities will be curtailed due to this pesky pandemic. So enjoying each day outside to the max for as long as we can. Yesterday was quite the rainout here and looks like rain will be here before noon today. Hope your weather is better than ours and you are having a lovely weekend so far. XOXO.

@bling_dream19 aww and I wish you were here to enjoy it with us. Haha yes he does love us in his own grumpy way. I get him I really do. Heck most days I feel just like he does. With the exception of the wonderful NIRDIs I prefer animals over people for the most part. Thank you for all your generous and good wishes and right back at ya. Greg is doing A OK thank you for asking. (((Hugs))).

@canuk-gal I am glad you enjoyed cycling and your DH enjoyed golf too. I hear you on sacrificing miles when we have to and we are doing the same. We cannot control the weather but we do the best we can. Rain, snow, sleet, hurricanes etc. Sometimes all in the same day haha wait no I am confusing our weather with @marcy 's weather lol. But I digress. I am sorry the work week was so exhausting and I hope you are rejuvenating and relaxing and recovering and glad you took friday for yourself. XOXO.

@marcy I am glad you got the dentist appointment over with and safely too and yes to having friends over in a most safe manner. Sounds like the perfect solution. We grocery shopped yesterday as well. Trader Joe's and Whole Foods and a stop at Costco though Greg went there the day before. And we scored some sweet supplies so well worth the trip. Enjoy your friends today and yay for enjoying your days off work. Ummm did someone say cheesecake? Yummmmmmmm.

@Slick1 hope you have a fun weekend and that the rest of your Friday went well. Hugs my sweet friend.

@springerspaniel hoping Ellie is doing well and feeling good and makes a complete recovery. Big hugs to you both and continued healing vibes. XOXO.

@MamaBee thinking of you and hoping all is going smoothly. Hugs.

@Bayek love you girlie. How are you? How is the family? How is the house coming along and that delicious pool? XOXO.

@mrs-b I am very glad you are recovering from your red eye. Looks like it could be a subconjunctival hemorrhage which is scary looking but generally not worrisome. If that is what it is. If you keep getting them then there is a systemic cause most likely but hopefully you won't continue getting them. It can happen from a cough or sneeze even...I am keeping good thoughts for you and continued healing vibes being sent your way. And gentle hugs. I am so sorry you are dealing with so much on your plate and hope relief will soon be yours dear lady. Hugs.

@sarahb I am thinking of you and hoping you and your family are doing well. Hugs and lots of well wishes being sent your way. XOXO.

Hi to everyone else. Hope you are enjoying a nice weekend.

So yesterday went fast despite no cycling. I had a long and challenging PT session in the AM.

Then we ran errands, worked out and BAM time for dinner. Torrential downpours and winds of over 40 mph made for a very messy day.

In honor of Caturday Saturday this was Gracie hanging out with us as we were enjoying the rain coming down safely inside comfy and cozy right after we got back from all our errands yesterday.

Today more rain is coming so we are trying to get some cycling in between the raindrops. Have a good Caturday Saturday and perhaps I will check in later. Big hugs to you all.

Hi everyone :wavey:. Not a hugely busy weekend here, a bit of painting and gardening, cooking, family time and a movie.
@missy Do you think a lockdown will be enforced again where you are? We live in an area of the UK where there is a spike in cases so keeping an eye on things. Whisker kisses from our furbabies to yours!
@marcy Thanks so much for the telescope tip. I am really looking forward to the darker evenings. We are going to pack a telescope, snacks and hot chocolate in the car and head out to do some stargazing. My son us very excited about it!
@springerspaniel Checking in How is Elli doing?
@Bayek How is your shoulder. Grrr I hate chronic pain! How's the building progressing?

Next we have 2 last visits from my sons new teachers prior to the school holidays. My husband may also be returning to work at the end of July if the workplace is set up safely. We shall see.
I am a fairly organised person and one of the things I am finding really frustrating is the fluid nature of the pandemic and how much this impacts on big decisions.
Ho hum! I will just have to learn to go with the flow a bit more!
Take care everyone! x

Hi NIRDIs! Just a quick note to let you know that Ellie is still in the ICU recovering nicely. She certainly is still the same old Ellie--tried to escape from her run yesterday and she is now insisting on only the fancy food the techs gave her the other day to encourage her to eat. Hope to have her home on Monday.

So happy for you all. Thanks for letting us know and big hugs to Ellie and you. ❤️❤️❤️

Hi @Niffler75 I am not sure how much enforcement there can be here but I do think once a spike in infections occur things will close again. Good luck with meeting the other teachers and for your dh going back to work. Lots of changes. It is challenging keeping up with the pandemic and all the ripple effects. Hugs to you.

Just got back from cycling a short while ago and I’ll share 2 cool pics I took. Hope it makes you smile.

Cycling as the sun came up this morning.

Sending bucketloads of healing dust both your way.
Than you !!!

As for the ice cream haha I know right? I’m not feeling well. It’s the constant worry and stress I’m under.
Wish I could visit you!

As if you need any more feline issues.
Ditto this!

Have you been enjoying your summer house? Did you get your ring sorted out?
The summer hose is marvellous. Wish you could all come visit. We even have a (very very small) private sand beach :-)
Ring, read below. Sorry. Lazy.

@Scandinavian whatever happened to your ring issue with the stone?
Nothing. I have to get the ring there, and that is not happening right now. But they have set aside a few stones for me to choose from. So it will be sorted in the end, thankfully.

Greg and I enjoyed another good cycling day
At least you had the good sense for chocolate this time? Lol

I enjoyed my day off of work. I met Marty for lunch again and informed him how lucky he was to have lunch with me 2 days this week.
He is!

I had a long and challenging PT session in the AM.
I love PT session though, takes away the thinking LOL

HI:

Went on an adventure today---rode to my dear friends new house--not so far away BUT THE HILLS!!!! One was so steep I could hardly walk my bike up!!!!! Good ride 16K.

But it was wonderful to see her--she is recovering from foot surgery and her new house is really gorgeous. And the weather was gorgeous. And stopped at our favorite Mexican spot--take out for supper. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

All round great day. My glutes will thank me later....

NIRDI shout out!

cheers--Sharon
