GM lovely ladies!!!

@marcy happy belated birthday to Marty! Today is Greg's birthday! Both Marty and Greg are Libras. I think October is a great month for a birthday. Lovely crisp fall weather cannot be beat. Sounds like Marty had a wonderful birthday complete with gifts and yummy food and good company. Sweet. Speaking of sweet how nice you are off today. Enjoy. And hope Marty enjoys his new Apple watch. LOL to the puppy watching Marty's watch haha. If you make cheesecake today please share it here with us. I love cheesecake. Yummmm. Hugs.

@Slick1 woohoo it's FriYAY and hope you are looking forward to a lovely weekend. XOXO.

Speaking of weekend @bling_dream19 friYAY! Woohoo! Hope you had a great week and are planning a fun joyous and peaceful weekend. Hugs to you.

@springerspaniel does Ellie love going out in this beautiful weather? How is she in inclement weather? Does she resist (like I do lol) or is she an equal opportunity weather lover? Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. (((Hugs))).

@canuk-gal what weekend plans are you looking forward to? Hoping you are continuing to enjoy mild temps. You deserve warm temps and I know you love them so I hope there are many warmer days ahead for you before winter sets in...XOXO.

Hi to everyone else. Hope all had a good week.
We cycled despite the very high winds yesterday. It was exhilarating and challenging all at once. Gorgeous autumn weather no complaints here. And delish ice cream too. Sweeter our days could not be and I am grateful for each wonderful day. Sharing some photos I hope will make you smile and wishing everyone a joyous FriYAY!

Enjoy a delicious day lovely ladies! XOXO.

Hello lovelies

Belated happy birthday to Marty @marcy, sounds like he had a good one. Adam got an Apple watch recently, purely for businesses purposes of course  Yay to having today off and having a long weekend. Hopefully work won’t impinge on your time off.

Happy birthday to Greg @missy, please send him our good wishes, and hope you have a great ride today, followed by some yummy ice cream of course! Looks like you’re enjoying good weather, and long may it continue.

Hope work hasn’t been too stressful this week @canuk-gal and you‘re looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

I hope you’ve got a quiet weekend planned @bling_dream19 so you can relax and enjoy.

If your doggies are anything like Dottie, she didn’t care if it was rain, hail, sleet, snow or sun @springerspaniel, as long as she was out enjoying the fresh air.

We had a trip out yesterday to get more paint for next week, Richard is coming on Monday to start painting the bannisters. We’ve also asked him to do some of the bigger ceilings and other odd jobs whilst he’s here. We also popped in to Costco, and of course, came away with things we didn’t go there to buy

Just waiting for the plumber to come and fix the toilet today, so have been cleaning and having a tidy up.

No plans for the weekend, other than putting the house sign back up and doing some laundry.

Heard yesterday our new sofas are delayed by 3 weeks, oh well, never mind, it’ll give up plenty of time to repaint the orangery and clean the lantern before they do arrive.

TGIF lovely NIRDIs :wavey:

Happy FriYAY lovely nirdi friends! Happy birthday to Marty and Greg! Wonderful husbands with incredible wives :kiss2: I'm sure Greg will choose an absolutely delicious icecream flavor today! Maybe some hot fudge and nuts?
@marcy how do you like your cheesecake? I like my dense, dry where the knife gets stuck in the cheesecake while trying to cut  I've been using Ashlee Marie cheesecake recipe the last few times, cooking it longer and it's meeting my expectations lol. Hubby and I finished the last small slice last night. I had given a 1/4 to my parents last weekend and then the rest was eaten with hubby's sister's visiting. I've been praying for no covid and so far so good.
We get to pick up my new Rav4 tomorrow! I'm soo excited!
Thank you for all of the warm wishes for a relaxing weekend. I think it will be fun and relaxing. I'm returning my eternity band. It's too scratchy and is taller off the finger than my wedding. They've offered to remake it to sit low like my wedding set but the integrity of the diamonds could be compromised. So, I'm not sure I'm going to do that. Maybe I'm not an eternity girl? Put the funds toward larger diamond :kiss2: we shall see.
I'm swapping out the NYC sapphire (that does not perform well) for a stunning custom cut Jeff White hot pink spinel to go in my honeymoon ring! I'll send out the stone and setting tomorrow.
I'm sending my studs back to David Klass to get the posts a little longer and see if he can set the diamonds to where I can still use my current jackets. So, the studs might get possibly reset. I love the 3 prong, but the prongs are larger because it's 3. Maybe if it's 4 or 6 the prongs might be smaller and will fit in my jackets.
@Austina I hope you and Colin are doing well and living the good life! I think you are and that makes me very happy =)2
@missy I'm loving your pics girl and I'm missing shore and that Jersey vibe! There's nothing like it...must be all that Bruce energy @Daisys and Diamonds
And I've REALLY been enjoying your Bubbalah pics, she is stunning, the setting is superb and I can't get over the colors she picks up. Simply beautiful. She just complements your beauty!
HI @junebug17 your posts are always so sweet and thoughtful. I hope you are having lots of fun, relaxing and enjoying your bling!
@Bayek hope that shoulder is feeling better! Your house is moving along very quickly and it's beautiful.
Love and hugs to all!

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!!

@junebug17 always nice to hear from you!
@bling_dream19 are you wearing your gorgeous new pearl earrings much?
@missy hope you are enjoying your new ride!! And yay for riding! Too chilly here for that today but I did have a brief walk. It must be Fall, as I officially turned on the heat today!
@marcy I hope no snow is in your forecast. Phooey to bad air quality due to fires. For Thanksgiving I am making ham and all the sides and for tonight it is prime rib and Yorkshire pudding.
@Austina I hope you have something to sit on soon!

And FWIW I really need some Tiffany jewellery! @marcy where is our Lotto $$???

cheers--Sharon

HI @canuk-gal I'm not wearing them yet because hubby hasn't given them to me yet! Even though I picked them, I TRY to contain myself and have my hubby give to me for an occasion. Otherwise, when the special day comes I get nothing lol! Kidding but waiting until my birthday which is around the corner. I love them and can't wait to get them on ear!

GM lovelies and happy Caturday Saturday! Somehow I keep getting the dates mixed up lol and I sent a text to my girlfriend yesterday telling her to take a break (thinking it was Saturday and she was at work and I always remind her to take a break as per our agreement long story but anyway it wasn't Saturday and I didn't realize it til just now lolol).

@bling_dream19 ooh that makes the anticipation even more delightful and soon you will be wearing and enjoying those earrings. When is your birthday? Greg enjoyed a pumpkin muffin with his pumpkin bourbon ice cream yesterday lol. A bit much on the pumpkin but he enjoyed it.

Screen Shot 2020-10-10 at 7.39.05 AM.png

@canuk-gal yes we are enjoying the new car. It is super pretty and super responsive and @marcy I wouldn't be surprised if we get it over 100 mph...should we be so motivated lol. I hope your weather warms up a bit Sharon and that you enjoy a wonderful weekend. XOXO.

loofy3infrontofhouse.png

@Slick1 hope you are enjoying a wonderful Saturday. XOXO.

@marcy hope you are too. Wonderful weekend. Did someone say cheesecake? XOXO.

@Bayek how is your shoulder doing? Sending you continued healing vibes and hugs.

Good morning @springerspaniel hope you have a fun and relaxing weekend. XOXO.

@Niffler75 hope you are doing well. Hugs.

@AV_ hope you are doing well too. XOXO.

@Austina hope all is going smoothly and as anticipated. Hope the plumbing issues are all fixed and the painting of the banisters go well next week. Thank you for all your lovely good wishes. It was a good pandemic birthday that is to say as good as it could be during a pandemic. I have a feeling we will be having more pandemic birthdays so must make the best of it . Have a great weekend and hugs.

@junebug17 thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful weekend. XOXO.

Hi to everyone else. Thinking good thoughts for everyone and sending hugs. Enjoy a happy Caturday Saturday. XOXO.

Oh my goodness. That looks scrumptious! Thanks so much for sharing!!! ❤️

Good morning NIRDIs! Greetings from hotternhell TX! gonna be 9F or 32.7C this is humid too. blah, bleach.. gimme some fall.. maybe in December or Jan!

@canuk-gal hey Sharon! Thanksgiving yes yum FOOD, for me turkey, mashed taters, GRAVY, pumpkin pie, STUFFING (trad), green beans, candied sweet potatoes, bread, cranberry sauce, GRAVY!, rolls, maybe make a mincemeat pie and vanilla ice cream yum, whipped cream for the pumpkin pie, fudge, cookies, rum cake if Chris can visit, hopefully he can but if not I still have XMAS with him I hope... pecan pie bar cookies, egg nog cookies if Chris comes, oooh can't wait! Hope you are enjoying fall weather, and your family, shoulder is doing well, house is slow but the builder said we should be in the beginning of November, we'll see on THAT! xoxoxo

@junebug17 thank you June, my shoulder is getting better, P/T - physio has been great for me lately, but it does cause me to rest the next day!.. Autumn is so much fun, i will post the pix I put on insta this morning at the end of my post, she is so darling.. just bought a porta crib this morning because she has outgrown the starter crib Mike gave us. Cara is progressing slowly and is still very bloated and tires very easily but was called back to work so we are going to take Auti on Tuesdays or Thursdays to give her a break and us some fun! John doesn't sleep all that well either, I don't if there is something on my mind, but John has been a poor sleeper the whole time I've been with him.. I think especially now with the state of our country and its leaders very very very 100000X upsets him, he is not one to verbalize or get it out, but he thinks a lot is riding this November on where our country goes from here and so he can't sleep, also if he's spent a lot of money he can't sleep, if one of the boys seems off he sleeps very poorly, any little thing that he doesn't verbalize well about keeps his mind racing.. I let it out more, but do also sleep poorly when something is on my mind. Hope your brother improves June and I'm glad things have improved somewhat for DD.. happy fall June, xoxoxoxo

@springerspaniel aww love the pixs Springer, it's true a human's best friend is their pet.. Salley my dog and I are besties and on the older side.. love love love her.. hope you and family are feeling well and enjoying fall. xoxo

@missy good morning marvelous Missy! ooh on two containers of ice cream.. I'm so there! looks delicious as always.. Missy yesterday was Christopher's 29th bday, I sent him a pumpkin leche cake (from the milk bar) and a rice maker! for his birthday.. Maybe you told me Greg's bday was 10/9 - happy belated birthday day GREG! you are wonderful, you are the best husband and furdad EVER, and just generally a good human, lucky us to know you.. Today my nephew is getting married and we are zooming with a HUGE group of people to watch it.. should be fun and we should be in France because that is originally where the wedding was to be, they are planning for 10/10/21 for the same event so there is still hope to maybe meet up for lunch or something with @MarionC next year.. Missy my shoulder is progressing well, my therapist has put in to my insurance for more visits so we shall see if I get to continue, I told her I would pay for a few and she said not to worry she thinks they will accept her clinical opinion.. hope so! The color of the new SUV is beautiful bitchin beautiful car Missy.. love it..and love you! xoxoxoxooxoxoxoxoxo

@marcy happy belated bday to Marty! hope he had a great day with his GREAT wife and customers and that WATCH.. I'll bet he is enjoying that, my son has an android version not sure what it is, but he really enjoys his, he drives and talks on it on occasion, very helpful, he can watch Autumn in her crib, see people at his front door with his ring.. pretty cool stuff right on his wrist I think. Jeeze Marcy someday I'm going to have a piece of your cheesecake, i love cheesecake.. love it.. hope it came out well! sending hugs and love.. xoxo

@bling_dream19 can't wait to see your new RAV4 if you can put up a pix, no worries if you can't.. you gonna love it.. I'd love to have one myself... my car is 7 years old and we are keeping it till it drops, it's got 123K miles on it..getting old like her owners... hope you are having a great weekend! xoxo

@Slick1 your pix are divine and I sincerely hope all is going well on the teaching front.. and the kids and husband are doing fantastically good! and you too xoxoxo

@MamaBee Hi Joanne! hope all is good with you and your wonderful family and furkids too.. xoxoxo

@EVERYONE ELSE... hope you day and weekend and time is going happily and well... xoxo

So we had Autumn this past Thursday for the whole day.. she is so much fun, a little opinionated when she wants to go HER way down the middle of the street, but other than that, she's a dream toddler.. house is going s l o w l y to say the least, I was up there yesterday and they were still drilling for the septic, pool guy? nowhere to be found YET.. jeeze he started in May, my say 'give someone an inch Catherine and they will take a mile' amen mom.

here's Auti - we were sitting on the front porch of our rental house and she points up and says MOOON!! and there it was a large crescent in the daytime... so we chatted toddler talk about the moon, love her just love her.. happy Saturday, Caturday and weekend ladies! xoxo oh that is Christopher's bear from his babyhood, he always had it with him when we went somewhere, Auti has candy bear she brings but as soon as she finds Chris Bear Candy is on the floor!

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!!

Making cabbage rolls. Turned out to be a nice day so we went for a 1/2 ride. LOL. I was a bit tired to to our usual trek.

Work has been a bear and I don't see that changing anytime soon. No wonder I am tired--that and I don't sleep well. Anyway.

@Bayek I hear ya on the gravy! And Auti is SO sweet!!!

Hope everyone is well. Back to the rolls!

cheers--Sharon

Hi NIRDI’s! Thank you for the birthday wishes for Marty!

@missy that is right Marty and Greg’s birthdays are a day apart. Happy Birthday Greg! I hope he had a good one. Your pictures do make me smile and that’s great you are out riding even in the windy conditions. Greg’s muffin looks fabulous. Your new car looks awesome.

@Austina does Adam like his Apple Watch? Marty had series 3 and recently had the crystal pop off; he was able to put it back on but some features weren’t working too well anymore. That’s amazing the new watch can take your blood oxygen level. I knew they took pulse and heartbeat. That’s great to get someone to do some painting and odd jobs for you. Isn’t that they way it always goes heading in to Costco (or our Sams) bringing home way more things than intended? If I just stick to my list I don’t do bad but if I wander that quickly fills up my cart. Darn that the sofas are delayed.

@bling_dream19 sounds like we like the same type of cheesecake. Yours must have been a hit. I use a recipe I clipped out of a magazine years ago. It’s a pretty easy recipe and quite tasty. I picked up cheery pie filing for a topping this time. How exciting to pick up your Rav 4. What color is it? Darn your eternity band didn’t work out. I think they are gorgeous but I tried one on once and found them uncomfortable. I also like my bands to be channel set or bezel set so they aren’t scratching my ering. Sounds like you have some other updates in the works as well. Fun! I had to chuckle about waiting for your birthday (or other special occasions or holidays) before you officially get your present. I swear Marty and I have already got our presents to cover the next 50 years.

@canuk-gal you menus sound delicious! Too funny about asking where our lotto money is - Marty ask me that same question at lunch. I’m slacking off too much on that goal. Still no snow in our forecast; that fire keeps growing.

@ZestfullyBling your apple crisp looks delicious. I love anything with apples in it. Which reminds me I have an apple cinnamon muffin from Perkins in the freezer - guess what I’m having for breakfast tomorrow?

@Bayek so it’s hot? Stay cool! Your Thanksgiving menu made me hungry; it sounds marvelous. Glad to hear therapy is going well for you. Auti is soooooooo cute and it sounds like she is a budding astronomer spotting the moon. I am sure you and John look forward to spending the day with her. I am sorry Cara is still bloated and tired. Is her recovery time estimated at around 6 weeks for her type of surgery? I am sorry you and John don’t sleep well. If my mind is busy I can’t fall asleep either and then when I do I don’t sleep well at all. Happy Birthday to Chris! That’s great you can Zoom in to watch your nephew’s wedding. Deal - when we have a NIRDI GTG I’ll bring cheesecake and chocolate chip cookies.

I had yesterday off so I started out bright and early to get my tires fixed. The place I usually go is hard to get to right now due to construction so I picked another place. Right before I got there a pickup and RV were getting towed in and whatever it needed was going to take them most of the morning so the guy at the desk suggested I come back.

I stopped at the gym next and lifted. Marty hadn't put up my rack downstairs yet and I had a week off already so I was a good kid and lifted. I sadly did hit my head on a metal bar but at least it wasn't that spot I really whacked on the laundry room cabinets. While at the gym I noticed there was a tire dealer right across the street so Marty ran my car over there. They checked all 4 tire sensors and said they were good. I might need to take my car in for a computer issues. Oh no. My warranty ran out on September 30. Does it matter it's been doing this for weeks?

After lifting I picked up a few more things for dinner tomorrow. A friend of mine texted me while I was leaving the store and she came over to lunch and cards. After she left I made cheesecake for tomorrow.

This morning Marty went hiking with a buddy quite early. I made myself some breakfast then watched the new episode of Tehran on Apple TV+. I had to dial in to work briefly.

Marty got home about noon so we went out for lunch. I brewed up my mashed potatoes for tomorrow and am working on laundry.

My sisters and BIL are coming for lunch tomorrow. That should be fun.

Take care.
Marcy

GM lovely ladies! Happy Monday!
And I hope all those who celebrated had a wonderful Thanksgiving this past weekend. It was a lovely autumnal weekend in the NE and I hope it was beautiful by you as well.

@marcy I hope you had fun with your sisters and BIL yesterday. Your weekend sounded fun. Cards with a friend and cheesecake and then seeing your family. And lifting and taking care of your tires too. Sweet. oh no to possible computer issues with your car. I hope it turns out to be just fine. Hope you have a good Monday. Where does the weekend go? So freaking fast. XO.

@Bayek so glad your shoulder is progressing well and I hope you get more approved PT sessions.Ooh happy happy birthday to Chris! I hope he enjoyed a wonderful celebration and the yummy pumpkin leche cake. And yes to getting him a rice maker. That should come in very handy indeed. 29 years old wow. He will still always be your sweet little baby. How was your nephews wedding? Crazy times call for inventive measures and you guys did it just perfectly. I hope the day was joyous and all went very smoothly. All that matters is he is marrying his true love and the rest will take care of itself. Pandemic or not. Our favorite cycling store's owner's son got married this past Saturday. No one will forget getting married during the 2020 pandemic. That is for sure. Love you Great Kate. XOXO.

@bling_dream19 I hope you enjoyed a wonderful time with your loved ones this weekend and that your Monday is off to a good start. Thank you for your lovely compliments and right back at ya. Sending you lots of hugs and love.

@canuk-gal I know this Thanksgiving had to be strange in a way due to the pandemic and restrictions and such but I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving and that you got to enjoy good company and delicious food. Hugs to you.

@Slick1 your weekend looked lovely. I am glad you enjoyed some R and R. Are you still working remotely with the kids? Hope the classroom remains closed til the pandemic is over. I know that sounds extreme but it is what I wish. Numbers are on an uptick all over. Stay well. Hugs.

@springerspaniel hope you guys enjoyed a wonderful weekend. XOXO.

@MJ_Mac how are you and your DH and furry babies doing? Hugs.

@MamaBee how is the family and how are you doing? Any bling decisions? Sending you hugs and lots of continued good wishes.

Hi to everyone else. Stormy day here today. Lots of rain and wind and supposed to get over 3" of rain. It's a wet day for sure. Hope all is well with you guys and that everyone enjoys a lovely Monday.

We hit 6500 miles on the bike yesterday woohoo. We have caught up to last year's miles at this time I think. Not bad. We always run into friends when we cycle it's amazing. L and J and R and S and more. It's nice because I almost feel like it's "normal" times since we keep seeing friends. And yes we are keeping our distance while chatting for a bit. We are staying safe as best we can. It's been very nice chatting with friends. And I also have had some great phone conversations with my friends so I feel connected still. Which is important. Anyway we had a lovely weekend with amazing weather and I cannot believe how time is going so fast.

We had a little picnic during a cycling break. At a most peaceful beautiful spot.

Wishing everyone a good Monday. Stay well and be safe. (((Hugs))).

Scratch that. Just got a FB notification re my post last year this day. And we reached 7,000 miles on October 12th 2019. Oh well. We’re working it nonetheless. :halo:

Hello lovelies

We’ve finally finshed reseeding the whole lawn, just had a fill in strip between the large areas that we’d done

I don’t know which Apple watch Adam has @marcy, he got it reasonably recently, because he wanted his App to sync with it as well as other Apps that his app uses, if that make sense  I hope you have a good time with your family this weekend, and work didn’t intrude in to your time off.

Sounds like the best decision to return the ring @bling_dream19, if it’s not right, it’s not right, and you’ll never be happy with it. It would bug me too if the ring was scratchy and I wouldn’t end up wearing it. Ooooo bigger diamond sounds like a plan

Sorry work is causing you such angst @canuk-gal, it doesn’t help if you’re not sleeping well either.

Glad your shoulder is getting better @Bayek and hopefully your insurance compan will pay up for more therapy. You must’ve been worn out keeping Auti amused all day Thursday. She sounds like a real little Madame (that’s not a derogatory term, just means a confident little thing who’s self assured) and is obviously a smart little thing recognising the moon.

Woohoo to hitting 6500 miles already @missy, I’m amazed with all the challenges you’ve faced last year and this, that you’ve managed to cover such a huge distance. It really does help give you a sense of normality when you can see friends, albeit socially distancing. Boo to the rain, it’s raining here too, but I spread some lawn feed yesterday which needs water to activate it, so we don’t mind. How are your Mum & Dad doing, I hope they’re both keeping well and safe.

Hope you had a good weekend @MamaBee and that all is well with you and yours.

Much as we expected, because of the huge spike in new infections in the North, we’re going to be getting an announcement from the Govt later today about new measures. Hopefully, our area won’t be affected, and we won’t have to lock down again. Why don’t people listen and act appropriately, these new infections are in the young who’ve been going out to pubs and clubs and not practicing social distancing :angryfire: ? Of course those who’ll suffer most are the sensible people who stayed in and were careful. The emergency hospitals in the areas have been told to be on alert for new admissions.

Waiting for Richard to turn up, he’s running late, so not sure if/what he’ll be doing today.

:wavey:

GM lovelies! Another wet windy day here.

@Austina yay for finishing your lawn and to getting much needed rain too. Did Richard show up yesterday? Ugh to the infection spike. We have an infection spike all over the USA now. It's not looking good. :(
Of course you and I predicted it was coming due to foolish behavior. Foolish behavior that is dangerous. Sending you hugs and hope you are having a good Tuesday.

@Slick1 hope your week is going well. XOXO.

@bling_dream19 hugs to you my sweet friend. Hope all is well.

Hi everyone else. We had a rainy day all day yesterday and all day today as well rain and wind predicted. We ran errands. Costco, TJs and I went to WP to have my new (did I tell you I got another pair haha) sunglasses adjusted. We also went to the local supermarket and got organic fruit and other things. Wow it is pouring now. Oy.

We got a call from my (now our) endocrinologist as we were driving yesterday afternoon running our errands. Greg's tests show he might have hyperparathyroid disease. That would be bad as that means surgery to remove the parathyroid. I hope that isn't the case. But the endocrinologist wants Greg to do another 24 hour urine test for Calcium and Creatinine. So he left this AM to go to the localish lab to pick up the test. What a hassle as we could have gotten it from Dr J but we and Dr J forgot to give it to us just in case. We discussed it and then forgot.

I still haven't gotten all my results yet but I am sure they came in. Probably Dr J forgot lol and I (truth be told) am not in a rush to get more unpleasant news. I already got some of my results back last week (not all) and it shows my adrenals are over working (bad) and my Alk Phosph is not at all lowered despite being on the OP meds. Oy to the vey. But one day at a time. Best we can do. Now I just want Greg to get home safely as it is torrential downpours at the moment and he texted me he was leaving the lab now.

Today not sure what is on our agenda as it is raining quite heavily with strong winds predicted all day. A good day for chilling by the fire and maybe starting one of the two books I ordered a few weeks ago.

Hope y'all have a good day. Be well and stay safe. (((Hugs))).

Gracie is laying on my lap. Rare moment. I am in heaven.

Screen Shot 2020-10-13 at 7.28.17 AM.png

@marcy driving now and Greg said yes. Easy to do over 100 mph in Loofy 3. 295 ponies come in handy :)

Hello lovelies

Ugh, I’m sorry to hear that Greg may have thyroid issues too @missy, another thing you really don’t need. Everything crossed the next test brings better results and no need for surgery. Oh no to the meds you’re taking not addressing the problem, is there anything else you can do? I hope Greg is safely home now and out of the nasty weather.

Yes, Richard did come yesterday, although by the time he did, it was really just to discuss what we wanted done, and he turned up promptly this morning and got on with painting. We decided to wait until next year for him to do the big ceilings, he’s going to crack on with the bannisters, and put up the curtain poles and blinds on Friday. He has 3 little boys and commented today that it was bliss being here because it’s so quiet

Thankfully we’re in a low risk area, so unless things change, we‘re not subject to renewed restrictions. Because the announcements were imminent, those in high risk areas spent the weekend living it up , you couldn’t make it up, could you?

Our next door neighbours have put their house on the market, they had talked about moving for a while (it’s a long commute to get their daughters to school), so not wholly unexpected. We just hope they sell quickly, and to nice people, because we don’t want to be in the position of both our houses being on the market at the same time.

Colin used a previous birthday present (a G Tech 5 in 1 garden thingy) to get the moss out between the paving, and I pressure washed the area he’d done. We didn’t realise how bad the water pressure had been, because It’s definitely a lot cleaner now.

I hope all the lovely NIRDIs are doing well and keeping safe. :wavey:

GM lovely ladies!

@Austina yay so glad for you that Richard came and the work has started. LOL I can imagine it is blissful for him being at your house vs with his little ones who I am sure are boisterous and exuberantly loud. Sometimes I need peace even from the kitties meowing so I can imagine how lovely and tranquil a pet free home would be. At times. I would miss them too much for any length of time but for brief respites. Heaven.

I am relieved you guys live in a low risk area. Our infection rate is increasing in the NY/NJ area but it does depend where one is located as NY and NJ are large. But my feeling is once the infection increases in certain parts of the state it will spread. Time will tell and I hope we all remain well and safe. These are challenging times.

Good luck to your neighbors selling their house quickly. I agree you don't need to have both homes on the market at the same time. Hopefully their home will sell fast and not overlap your house sale at all. I think you have plenty of time so fingers crossed.

Nicely done to Colin for getting that moss out between the pavers. And sweet you power washed the area. You guys are a great team! XO.

@Slick1 what a rainy 2 days we have had. Hope work is going well and all is quiet and calm by you. XO.

@bling_dream19 it's Wednesday already. Hope you are enjoying a lovely week. Any bling updates? Hugs.

@MamaBee hope David is doing well and your mom is acting nice and not giving you any trouble. And I hope you are having a good week. XO.

@marcy hope you too are enjoying a lovely week. Loofy 3 is one fast baby and we are having fun. Hugs.

Hi to everyone else! Hope all is well.
We didn't end up relaxing yesterday. LOL I am not sure we are good at relaxing as I love being on the go. We went to the outdoor outlets and I really cleaned up. I got a new (like I needed yet another lol) winter coat. Navy blue. Love it. And I got new Timberland blue waterproof boots. Since I love my current ones so much I decided to get another pair but my size was sold out. However they had almost the same pair just with a snazzier ankle design. So I got it. And I also got 2 sweaters. So yeah I did pretty good. Greg got another winter coat too and he got something else that I cannot remember at the moment.

One thing I found quite interesting was the outlets were empty. The emptiest I have ever seen them which struck me as unusual. Generally when it is raining the outlets are busy even though it is outdoors. But nope. Nary a soul in sight. I was relieved but hope it isn't a sign of things closing there eventually.

I wore my hair in a crazy bun (first time I wore a bun out lol) because it was such a messy day. I really don't care anymore. I just want to be comfy. I love losing my self consciousness in public. It is freeing! And of course I am very gray and I don't care about that either. LOL what can I say. I am becoming a crazy old lady but at least I am always wearing pretty bling and pretty clothes. IMO. :)

Leaving you with a photo of the ring I wore yesterday. Turns out I do enjoy variety.

We are planning a cycling day today though we have lots of other things on our to do list as well.
Have a wonderful Wednesday lovely ladies. Sending good thoughts and hugs to each and everyone of you.

Happy Wednesday! My favorite day of the week since I got married on a Wednesday lol. Missy you killed it at the outlets! You go girl and we can't wait to see everything! And I love your beautiful ring!
I'm loving my new rav4! Oh yes here are the bling updates! Last night I sent a big haul to DK. Sweating the shipment and praying all gets to him safely. I'm swapping out my nyc sapphire that has a lovely story, but I'm not in love with how it performs, so I'm swapping it for a pink spinel. 20200930_085322.jpg20200930_083045.jpg
It will go in this setting 746557
I also sent my new studs to have the posts longer and possibly reset to accommodate my jackets. Its sooo close and I'd really like to be able to wear my jackets. I'm really struggling with the setting. It seems like the 3 prongs are larger than if one went with 4 or 6 tiny prongs. I don't like the heftiness of the prongs. Again, I have an illness and prefer the diamonds to just float on my ear, no metal maybe superglue?
And I sent my zircon! I'm really excited about this one. I'm going to see what DK suggests in terms of setting. Or I'm leaning towards a ring with 3 small round diamonds on each side, like a triangle. Here is the zircon I bought preloved from the lovely @christy
20201012_195059.jpg20201012_194759.jpg
So life is good and I'm very grateful.
I'm really excited for your invisalign Austina. Sending love and hugs to all!

@marcy Hello Marcy, docs originally said that her recovery would take 3 months so she's got a lot of time to go to heal.. thank you for mentioning her I sincerely appreciate it!.. it's hot here hell ya, but tomorrow we are getting a cold front so the high will be in the 80s! lol that's a cold front? no. okay Marcy, I will supply the margaritas, vegan food etc, tacos etc and queso and we can ooh and ahh each other's bling and have fun! take care and hi to Marty. boy your post made me hungry! anything to do with taters calls my soul!!! xoxoxo

@ZestfullyBling gorgeous apple crisp! my fav.. xoxo

@bling_dream19 wow wow wow I cant wait to see what you have David Klaas do.. I'm sure I'll see it on insta before you get them.. beautiful.. I'd say I'm envious but you know you can't be envious of PSers, especially NIRDIs we are the best, it's gonna be all gorgeous, so happy for you! xoxo

@missy love that cushion, it's always nice to change up.. I'm missing whatever I have in the safe deposit box.. I'm forgetting.. anyway.. I hear you, sometimes it's just so nice to have quiet.. peace, but then it get's boring, and slow... if I lived at your Jersey house I'd be in bliss.. heaven... love it's so beautiful to live by water.. you and Scandi! miss you Missy, talked with Katie night before last and she and a friend are going to have Thanksgiving dinner and Chris is invited, so I suppose he will go there, I'd rather he did in one way Missy because flying just is scary and while he's not in any problem group, who needs Covid? I hope he can come at Christmas.. he loved his Milk Bar pumpkin cake! ate it in one day and it turned out that Kate gave him Milk Bar cookies for his bday! he's a Milk Bar man now!

Well my favorite winter coat doesn't fit now, got it for the Danube Christmas market cruise almost 2 years ago, I wish I could go again, we were starting to plan a trip to Ireland but with Covid, the mess called Brexit, Covid again etc we don't know if we will ever be able to travel again because Covid will around for years... I dunno, wish our country had been better lead and prepared, what's done is done my mom would say if she were here, but she talks to me in ALL the stuff she imprinted on my brain!

Hope you are had a great morning cycling. I am sad to read that Greg may have thyroid issues too.. at least you are well informed and can be knowledgeable for him. NOW you know what my sister experienced with hyperparathyroid disease.. MISSY I beg you to get the operation asap if this is the case, this explains his kidney stones..they parathyroid disease the 'moans and groans' disease. Missy I guarantee you my sister had it for at least a 7 years, when our Dad died in 07 my sister was one inch taller than me because she always had been, when our brother died in 15 and I saw her again, she was agood 2 inches shorter than me and could not stand up straight, I was shocked, I've told you this story, my sister thought she had lung cancer I think so she just ignored it all till the end.. all that calcium that is leeched out of the bones affects the kidneys, the heart and my sister also had pancreatitis.. I am so so so happy Greg has a good endocrinologist because some doctors think a high calcium rate isn't that serious, it is serious and we should all find out why our calcium is high. call me anytime Missy ANYTIME.. send Greg hugs and more hugs and DUST and more love, if this is the case, he will feel better in one day I've read.. love you girl and Greg and the kids and again, miss you.. xoxoxoxoxoxo

@Austina so great to read you are in a low risk area - I am in Williamson Cty which is chock full of dumb butts who don't follow rules, Travis is much better, live there! Mike is in Williamson so that was our choice. so glad you are getting the painting done.. you know! I can't imagine 3 little boys, I had 2 little boys once and that was plenty of noise.. but it's all in the love we have for our kids, furkids and life.

It's interesting when I read the 'moss between the pavers' because when I think of England I think of moss, it's so nice in England and it rains and there's moss, but I wouldn't want them in between my pavers either! (if I had any that is) ... I hope the neighbor's home sells quickly and at a good price.. I'm sure you live in a lovely area that people would love to buy into! Hi to Colin and waiting till you get her! xoxoxoxox

@ALL THE NIRDIs, sending hellos, hi's and hugs!.

So Mike spent the day with us Sunday ALL day... 8 am to 7pm.. we had a great great time.. it's so nice to be with my son once in a while.. he's busy and he's always going to be my baby.

Had p/t on Monday and while I love it man I was sore Monday, I went up to the house and nothing is new which is frustrating as all get out.. John went up yesterday (dentist appt for him) and it was the same.. our lease is up here 11/21 and we are going to be out, it's too expensive to rent month to month, it's throwing money away.. ugh.. anyway, we have a meeting ZOOM! with all the homeowners to take over the homeowners board and info etc, future blah blah, so all owners must attend or send a proxy. ugh.. Wish I could get into the holiday spirit, but it was always hard for me in Texas because it feels like summer. blah.

Here's a pix or 2 of Monday's visit.. miss the Nirdi's, tomorrow we have Auti all day and that is busy and I get really tired! but I love it! xo

Water tank, water heater and something else which I forget ! ha!

1602693742560.png

Workers brought a barbecue! wish I could live there and barbecue.. hahaha! (can you tell I'm getting more nutzoid than ever about finishing this house!)

all the stone is up I personally think it's beautiful! but I did pick it out right? right! xoxoxoxo

Hello lovelies

That’s really interesting @Bayek about the parathyroid and kidney stones, explains a lot. I suppose It’s obvious when you think about it, but if it’s not on your radar, you don’t think about these things. If you‘re hurting, hopefully that means that the PT is working things, and strengthening up your shoulder so you’ll soon be good as new. Ugh to delays on the house, that’s whats putting me off even considering going down the ’new’ route. It would be lovely to choose everything, but I’m not sure I could stand the endless excuses and delays. Our last house was brand new, and honestly, we had more issues with that than any other house we’ve ever had. Hopefully when your lease is up, the house will be ready to live in, even if the pool isn’t done (or started!) Did the kitchen go in last week, I know you mentioned some issues with the cabinets? The exterior is certainly looking fab-u-lous! Another busy day for you tomorrow keeping Auti amused, but I know you love it really

Woohoo @bling_dream19 so many exciting projects. I love the colour of your spinel, it’s really beautiful and the zircon :-o it’s gorgeous. You’ve really got the bug haven’t you? So many gorgeous pieces to look forward to, you’re going to have fun deciding what you’ll be wearing every day.

Wow, it’s scary to read the outlet place was so empty, when we went a few weeks ago, it was pretty busy, which was certainly good for the shops @missy. You certainly did clean up, sounds like a good haul, hey, you’re helping the economy, it’s a public service to shop till you drop  We’re so used to leading such a quiet life that we forget the mayhem other people live with. I don’t think I could’ve coped with 3 boys, I’d have gone bonkers. I hope you did get out to ride today, I know how cathartic being outdoors and enjoying the scenery is. Did wearing your AV solitaire make you think anymore about resetting Bubbalah?

Richard is getting on well with the painting, we went for a satin finish white for the woodwork and the good thing about it is that it’s virtually odourless and you can wash the brush out in water.

I scraped out more moss from between the brick edge around the lawn, Colin couldn’t get his gadget in to those spaces. I then tried to use the pressure washer, but it was deader than a dodo. Hopefully it’s just the fuse that’s blown and of course we had every type of fuse except the one for the machine. We picked some out while we were out, so fingers crossed it’s working again tomorrow.

While we were in the shop getting some berries this afternoon I saw at least 3 people with their masks under their noses  I did mention to 2 of them that the mask needed to be over their noses to be effective, I’m past caring if they don’t like being told, how on earth are we ever going to get through this if people don’t do the right thing?

This week is whizzing by, take care lovely NIRDIs :wavey:

GM lovely ladies!

morningoctober152020.jpg

Off to vacuum but wanted to say a quick GM and send hugs and love to my sweet friends.

@Bayek thank you for all that info and I am so sorry your sister dealt with all of that. It sucks. I am worried our endocrinologist isn't as concerned as he should be about the elevated calcium but I will see what happens and I will do my best to advocate for Greg! Please be careful when doing PT and do not overdo. Sending continued healing vibes for your shoulder. Love you Kate. You are da best. Thank you for all your wisdom and kind words. They mean so much to me I cannot even begin to tell you. They give me strength when at times I don't have any left if you kwim. Hugs and love to you Great Kate. XOXO.

@bling_dream19 wowza that is all beautiful. LOVE. And yay for loving your sweet new car! Hugs my sweet friend. Yay tomorrow is FriYAY.

@Austina so glad Richard is taking care of what is necessary. Boo to those people who insist on not wearing their masks properly. Sigh. I am with you. I do not care what others might think of me. Do the right thing please. If it affects your fellow humans please be careful. Don't be so selfish. Why are people so selfish? Stay safe dear Austina and hugs to you and Colin.

@Slick1 hugs and have a good day.

@MamaBee don't do anything rash. Wait. Just wait. See what unexpected and expected gifts come your way...hugs to you.

Hi to everyone else. Hope all is well.
We cycled far yesterday as the weather was much nicer than even expected. We went to BayHead and Mantoloken and cycled 72 miles. Today is much windier so we will not be cycling that far. But it was a great day. It really was. And on our way back we saw a wedding! It was a good sign I think.

@Slick1 you’re doing great. Hang in there. You’re a saint. Yay the weekend is almost here. Have a good rest of your visit and be well. XO.

@Bayek continued healing vibes being sent your way. Hope your shoulder keeps getting better. Hugs and love. Have a wonderful weekend.

@marcy your winds were higher than ours and ours were pretty gusty. It was a slog heading into the South winds but it was a breeze (hahahaha breeze get it) going North back home. Yay for the weekend almost upon us. XO.

@MamaBee I took another 2 Halloween pics for you.

Hi to everyone else.
We had a good cycling day despite the high winds. Today’s rainy so no riding but we have lots of stuff to do. Hope everyone enjoys a lovely FriYay ❤

Hugs.

Hello lovelies

How on earth is it already Friday? :-o

Wow, that was some ride yesterday @missy, 72 miles, woohoo!!! How great to see a wedding, a reminder that life goes on even in this madness. I’m sure it wasn’t quite the day they’d planned, but at least it happened. Adam and Kim went to a wedding on Sunday, Adam’s was a groom’s man. He said he was surprised that the bride’s father seemed quite unconcerned about Covid, and was walking about without a mask. He and Kim kept their masks on and their distance from other guests, despite there being some emotional blackmail going on about not spoiling the photographs with masks

People are going all out there with their Halloween decorations, I think it’ll be even less of an event here this year.

Richard is getting on really well, but will come back Monday to finish up and put up the new curtain poles and blinds.

Nothing else going on here, the pressure washer is a gonna, despite the fuse change, so I’m going to leave it until next year when I’ll hire a professional one to get all the paving cleaned up before we list.

Lots of cleaning to do this weekend, I haven’t bothered with Richard here, but I’ll do a big clean and get the laundry done.

Other than that, we’re meeting Sue & Rob on Sunday for a walk and a cuppa, and that’s all.

I hope all the lovely NIRDIs are keeping safe and well, and looking forward to a restful weekend. :wavey:

Happy FriYAY nirdis! I am glad it's Friyay - that is for sure! I've got a busy weekend ahead but it's all good. I plan to make a lasagna on Sunday and get out and take some walks and of coarse some good sleep! I've got bling to enjoy and bling to dream about so that is always good. I am settling down soon lol. I hope everyone has a wonderful and relaxing weekend and I'm sending love and hugs to all!

HI:

Exhausting week--for a multitude of reasons...too much to absorb and unpack. Spent 2+ hours at the dentist today.

And cold and snowing now. I am a bit too much Debbie D for me!!

@canuk-gal sending you sunny vibes and gentle hugs. My dad had a tooth extracted today and it was a 2 hour ordeal as well. Wishing you both a speedy recovery. XO

Happy Caturday Saturday girls!

@Austina glad Richard is doing a wonderful job. Sorry your pressure washer is kaput. I hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend and time spent with your dear friends. A perfect way to spend a weekend. There will be plenty of time for cleaning. Hugs.

@bling_dream19 I can’t wait for you to enjoy wearing all your gorgeous pieces. Have you worn all the new bling yet? Yum to lasagna and good sleep. I hope you enjoy both this weekend. I love lasagna so much. Hugs.

@canuk-gal hope you slept well and enjoyed sweet dreams. And enjoy a wonderful bright weekend. XO

@Bayek happy weekend to you and your lovely family. Hope all is progressing smoothly! XOXO ❤

@MamaBee what’s on the agenda this weekend? I’m still taking Halloween pics for you. My mom’s a Halloween baby. Hope all is well. Hugs.

Dear @Slick1 oy I’m sorry it’s another weekend of obligations but I hope you enjoy and are surprised with a lovely visit. Sending you lots of good thoughts and hugs.

Hi everyone else. Sending you hugs and good wishes.
Yesterday we did accomplish lots and I also got a great chat in with a dear friend and I’m so excited anout her upcoming project I’m bursting lol. I feel I’m enjoying it (almost) as much as she is :)

It’s a cold brisk windy Autumn day. We shall be cycling and hopefully I won’t freeze. I need to pull out my warmest cycling gear. It’s in the 40s F here right now and only going to go to 50 I think. And it’s windy. That’s the problem with fall. We only get mild fall weather for what feels like a minute lol. But anyway I’m happy we can cycle!

Enjoy a wonderful Caturday Saturday all. XO

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy that’s great you have put so many miles on your bike again this year. Great picture of you and Greg! The happy cyclists. That’s wonderful to catch up with some friends you see on your outings. I hate to hear Greg has hyperparathyroid disease; good luck with that that under control. I am sorry to hear some of your test results had some bad news as well. I know your doctors will work with both of you to get you on the mend. Big hugs to both of you. Thanks for the “speed” update on Loofy 3. That horse power comes in handy when you need it. Keeps you safer in a car! Good idea to stock up on coats and boots for the winter and it sounds like you made a haul at the outlet mall. I need to have Marty try on his winter coats; his arm muscles were a problem last year and he probably needs a new serious winter coat. Gorgeous sunrise! Looks like a great wedding you and Greg came along on your ride. Yes, our wind has been awful for a few days - warm and cold fronts fighting. Nice emerald. Oh no to spending 2 hours getting a tooth extracted; mega dust and hugs to your dad.

@Austina nice to get the lawn reseeded. I hope you don’t get lockdowns again in your area. That’s too funny Richard enjoys the peace and quiet being away from 3 little boys. Sounds like he does a great job for you! I hope your neighbor’s place sells quickly; I thought the same thing before I read the rest of your sentence about not having both places for sale at the same time. Isn’t it amazing what a difference a good power washing can make?

@bling_dream19 sweet you love you new Rav4. Very pretty spinel; how fun. It will look fabulous in that setting. The color of your zircon is amazing. I like the idea of 3 diamonds in a triangle on each side. I tried on the 3 prong studs once and found them uncomfortable; I am sure you’d get used to them but they were different. I am sure they can get your studs to fit your jackets.

@Bayek I would have guessed Cara’s recovery was about 3 months; I hope she does well. It’s hard to have restrictions that long. Glad you and John are there to help them. Yes, LOL that being in the 80’s is a cold front. We have had some chilly days and are below freezing at night. Winter is coming here anyway. You menu, NIRDI’s and all of our bling would be such a wonderful GTG. Once you get your jewelry out of your safety deposit box it will be like getting all new bling. Sweet. I hope Chris does go have Thanksgiving with Katie; that would be nice. That would be great if he can come visit you for Christmas. I hope your shoulder is getting stronger and less painful. Good deal that Mike spent the day with you. Yay for getting your BBQ; that stinks though your lease is up next month and the house may not be ready for you yet. Best wishes figuring that out. Your place looks fabulous. I am so sorry to hear what your sister went through.

@canuk-gal I hope you are having a quiet weekend after your rough week. You deserve it! We are getting the cold already but no snow; those fires could sure use it. Big hugs to you!

I was up until 11 pm last night watching one of the MLB Playoff games. If the series was decided last night we had to remove some things for today and the guy in our co department and I both decided we’d rather take care of things last night than scramble around this morning. Just our luck the game ran an extra hour but we lucked out and didn’t need to make any changes.

I got a haircut this morning. She added a more obvious layer on my left side and it looks so much better. I part my hair on the left so the right side looked more layered than the left side. I still have to use a bobby pin for my bangs mostly because I don’t use moose or hair spray.

Marty made linguini Alfredo and chicken parm for lunch. It was delicious. I am brewing up cookies once Marty wakes up from his 3rd nap for the day. His long days are wearing on him. MWF he is at the gym by about 5:30 and gets home after 8. On TuTh he doesn’t go in early but stays until after 7. He still loves his gym but between the gym and work he has long days. I told him when I was teaching I at least had spring break and between semesters off but I get having no “me” time.

I didn’t place our grocery pick up order for today until this morning so we can’t go pick it up until 7 tonight. I’ll have Marty drive. Ha!

I need to get an appointment to get my car worked on (the tires / sensors / computer). I don’t think it’s a big deal but sure hate driving 100 miles for that.

Marty ordered the new iPhone 12 Pro. The camera is slightly better than mine; I keep trying to get him to give it to me and take my phone. It should be here in early November.

Take care.
Marcy
