Now I really did it :((

I'm soo glad your hubby's surgery went well @marcy

Sorry @marcy, too wrapped up in what’s going on here  Glad Marty got through his surgery ok, it’s always worrying waiting and every minute seems like ten.

Good morning girls and hope it's a Wonderful Wednesday for my sweet NIRDIs

@marcy glad Marty is out of his surgery and that it went well. Wishing him a very speedy and full recovery. 4-5 weeks in a sling isn't too terrible and LOL re driving home being the scariest part haha. I am glad your cold/allergies are better. Yes the air quality is less than desirable and while I am not looking forward to the first frost there are advantages to it I guess. Though thinking back when my asthma first started it did worse in the cold dry air that is winter so who knows. Sending Marty lots of healing vibes.

@canuk-gal yup the rain is coming here but looks like we are going to chance one more day of riding today. Wish us luck lol. Chance of rain today but then the next 5 days rain is predicted. Hope your weather is improving and the smoke dissipating.

@Austina yes rain does make the lawns lush and glad you are enjoying that side effect at least. Good luck with the mortgage appraiser today and yes the days and weeks and years are all merging together so fast.

@bling_dream19 good morning sweet friend.

@Slick1 August is going too fast. Slow down please. Hope the summer is being enjoyed to the max with you and Bear.

@sarahb sending you hugs and lots of well wishes and hope you are enjoying each day and that all your loved ones are doing well.

Hi to everyone else.
We enjoyed a wonderful day yesterday. Weather was perfect and cycling and ice cream met our expectations :)
Hoping for one last ride today before the weather makes it impossible for a long while.
Enjoy a wonderful Wednesday lovely ladies and hugs to all my sweet friends here.
XOXO.

Another on the house ice cream day...and table side service. It cannot be beat. :)

Hi NIRDI's!

@Austina you sure do have a lot going on; hoping things go quickly and you are soon settled in your new home in Texas.

@missy yes asthma seems worse during the cold, dry months - can we ever catch a break on this stuff? I was delighted sleep through the night without coughing once. It is hard to believe Labor Day is almost here. Time has flown by this year. Nice you got in a lovely ride and had some delicious ice cream. I picked up our late lunch from Culver's so tried their flavor of the day - caramel chocolate - it was good. Had little pieces of Dove chocolate with caramel syrup.

Marty is pretty miserable today. He propped up pillows in our guest bedroom and slept (or tried to sleep anyway) in there. The nerve block wore off about 1 am; he said that was awful! He did manage to get dressed and back in his sling by himself this morning but said putting that shirt on was horribly painful. He has done his arm lift chair twice already today and the few exercises they have him doing and they all hurt like heck to do. I have hovered around trying to help but not much I can do so I guess I will go to work tomorrow.

We did go out to breakfast and then picked up some groceries. Marty got stew meat and frozen assorted peppers and hash browns so he won't have to chop up things to cook his breakfast.

I haven't done much today. Did a batch of laundry, lifted and got some things ready to mail. My lens is now listed for expected delivery tomorrow. Darn.

Take care.
Marcy

HI:

NIRDI shout out!

@marcy I hope your DH heals quickly. Make sure he keeps up with his pain meds--comfortable people heal more quickly. When my DH had reconstructive hand surgery, I helped him shower, dress, and I cut his food!

@missy we had 30 mm of rain yesterday! The broody clouds were so low I thought I could almost reach outside and touch them! Woke up today to NO SMOKE or stink and blue sky! Felt so refreshing. And this is the second day in a month, I can actually see the mountains. :)) My DH was busy all day, so I went out to ride alone, and walked the park and got take out! Talked to people I didn't know. I, of course, had my mask on. LOL

@Slick1 please post more pictures of your pooch. I am in withdrawal!

@Austina wait til you get to Texas. You'll be missing your rainy weather! LOL

Tomorrow's weather will be cool and wet so I just MIGHT have to vacuum!

cheers--Sharon

GM girls!
Wishing everyone a wonderful Thursday.

@marcy continued healing vibes to Mr Marty. I hope he feels less miserable today. Remind him each day he is getting closer to where he needs to be. Hope you don' work too hard and find time to relax and enjoy besides working and taking care of your DH.

@canuk-gal wow that's a lot of rain. Yay for clear skies. And glad you enjoyed a lovely day and got to "socialize" so to speak. I am forgetting how I think. It's been a strange few years even before Covid hit.

@Slick1 awww Bear ((((hugs)))) to you and Bear.

@bling_dream19 hope your week has been sweet.

Hi to everyone else.
We had a good ride yesterday.
Today we have a few doctor appointments and errands which is fine as it is going to rain anyway.

Hugs and love to all my friends. XOXO.

Today's photo courtesy of Greg. I was on the phone with the pharmacy when Greg came out with our ice cream so he kindly took the photo for me. But OMG I need to teach him about taking ice cream photos.

Hello lovelies

In for a few hectic days here, so won’t be around much. Got a huge pile of paperwork from the attorney for next week’s interview, so that all has to be gone through and checked, plus lots of paperwork for the house sale here.

Finally some ‘concrete’ progress on the house, the slab’s been poured  2C42D41D-240B-48C3-9C55-440D281D55F3.jpeg

@missy What can I say..You’ve been through the ringer the last few years…I don’t know how you cope..but you manage with a smile..still caring for everyone..I hope you get things figured out. I told you…You need a Dr. House..
@marcy I’m glad Marty is finished with his surgery…It must be a relief to have it over with. I hope he starts getting relief…
@Austina I’m so excited for you! Pouring of the concrete slab is huge! I would love to build a house when we move to Virginia…My husband doesn’t like that because he can’t visualize what the end look would be. Will Adam and Kim be able to check on the house during its progress?
That’s great you didn’t have to get the MMR booster. I never had a test to get it checked. I didn’t even know they did that. I have to ask. My mom said the moms would intentionally expose them because it was better to have it when young. She said if the boys got it as young men..they would become infertile.
I LOVE your diamond hoops! They’re gorgeous!
@mrs-b I’m still amazed that you were able to catch the mixup with the vaccine before you got the shot. Did you get any reactions this time? How is Cirrus?
@bling_dream19 How are you doing? How’s your mom? Any more bling? Haha
@canuk-gal I‘m happy you were able to get outside for fresh air. You sound like someone who really appreciates everything..We take fresh air for granted. It sounds like you live in a beautiful area..
@Slick1 I’m really enjoying seeing your cutie..He looks like he poses for those photos. He has the look of an aristocrat sitting for a painting! He’s adorable..:kiss2:
@Bayek How are you doing? I miss you.
@junebug17 I know you had the best time with your son. Pizza at the shore sounds wonderful.
@Calliecake I hope everything is good at your end..:wavey:

It’s never ending craziness here…I’ve been taking my mom to appointments, trying to keep David engaged, busy, and happy, and general drudgery..haha
Tomorrow I’ll be heading to Maryland with the hubs and David..We’ll stay the night there..Saturday we’ll each drive our cars to Virginia to Allie and the boys. Hubby will go home Saturday night..I’ll stay until Thursday to help her out..Scott is on a business trip to San Diego…I’m worried about him traveling with this variant spreading everywhere but I didn’t say anything. I was proud of myself..haha Then I’ll drive back to Maryland..spend one night…and return to Pa on Friday..I’ll probably won‘t have trouble sleeping when I get back…I’ll be dead from exhaustion!
I’m hoping to be able to keep up reading what’s happening with you all. Big hugs..

HI:

@MamaBee you are busy family! Stay safe and well!

I just might have to make good on my innuendo and vacuum!!! Just got groceries--oh the excitement never ends. So glad I got out and about yesterday--today is cool and wet as predicted.

@Slick1 enjoy your last days before returning to work. Our leaves are changing color at a rapid rate--so I guess it is back to school time.

@Austina good luck with the mountains of paperwork and nice to see progress on your new house.

@marcy hope your DH is feeling better.

NIRDI shout out!

cheers--Sharon

Stuck my head above water for the first time a couple of days ago.

So of course, Cirrus started with diarrhea again on Tuesday and it's worse today. So much for improvement. We have an appt with Tufts internal medicine dept on the 27th, which we'll definitely be keeping. Hoping they can sort him out, because we're tearing our hair out here. Your prayers would be appreciated.

As for me, I saw the surgeon last week - only one surgery necessary - thank goodness! But it's going to be a big one - 4 hours, 5 days in hospital, 9 months recovery time. Yup. 9 months. Roughly 2 years for the fusion to fully take...if it's going to, which is likely, but not guaranteed. Having 2 laminectomy and 2 fusions - November 29th. I'd love to put it off, because I know this is going to hurt. A lot. But the big girl thing to do is to have the surgery and get it over with. <sigh>. So tired of being cut up by the medical profession.

Meant to have received a pair of custom made hoop earrings from DKJ today, but no sign. Bummer.

Eleanor is now at Berkeley as of yesterday and she's having a wonderful time at orientation. So good to hear the joy in her voice. ::)

I've been on a crazy shopping spree for my new townhouse out in California and have been having a lovely time. Tim and I go out at the end of September, and he'll help me set it up and unpack everything (bless him!). Looking forward to this change of scene.

Greetings to you all - @missy, @Austina, @MamaBee, @Slick1, @canuk-gal, @marcy, @bling_dream19, @Polabowla, @Jemi, @junebug17 - and to anyone I might have missed!

@Slick1 - Bear is looking very handsome!
@Austina - love the earrings. But that HAIR! Super gorge!!
@missy - we need a phone chat. ox
@bling_dream19 - latest jewelry update?
@junebug - are you in SC at the moment? How is your DD's new job panning out?
@canuk-gal - how are you feeling? You were feeling a bit flat a short while back. I hope everything has perked up. ox
@marcy - how is your DH doing? And I've seen some new photos from you, but in a different thread - they look wonderful!
@MamaBee - any progress re a new stone for your setting?
@Jemi - that photo of your cat is fabulous!! How long have you been back in the US? I didn't realize you were back here.

Love and hugs to you all! NIRDI shout out!
@Polabowla - how are you feeling, dear? Thinking of you lots! <3

GM girls! Happy FriYAY!

Wonderful news @mrs-b only one surgery woohoo! Of course Cirrus continues to be in our thoughts and prayers every single day.

@Austina woohoo, it's looking good. I cannot believe how fast it's all happening though at times I know it seems like forever. Before you know it.

@canuk-gal good luck vacuuming haha. I need to do that too. Usually I do every day but haven't lately. Greg vacuums downstairs daily so that helps.

@Slick1 girl, where is the summer going? I want to slow it down.

@bling_dream19 I hope you love those masks. @rainwood told me about them and they are comfortable relatively speaking.

@Jemi how is your sweet grand baby? And how is your DD doing? Hope all is going well and hugs to you and Kine.

@marcy how is Marty feeling and how are you doing? It isn't easy being a caregiver. Thinking of you.

@springerspaniel hope all is well with you. Haven't heard from you in a while. Hope the summer is going smoothly and life is sweet.

@Bayek girlie, you are da best. Kate the Great. Hugs to you and your family.

@MamaBee hope your mom is doing well and you are holding up and all is going smoothly.

@sarahb enjoy a beautiful weekend.

Hi to everyone else.
Yesterday was a whirlwind. Greg had some medical tests done at an imaging center and I saw one of my doctors and this morning we supposedly have a call with our endocrinologist but I have not received my lab results (lab work done 9 days ago). So not sure what is happening. Greg received most of his last Friday and I have still received nothing. Trying not to read anything into that.

Anyway today is another busy day and we are seeing one of Greg's friends later who is stopping by to visit outdoors. He is a nurse anesthesiologist and is coming by after work. I am not thrilled with that (Covid risk) but Greg so badly wants to see him. We love him. He's a good guy. Just during pandemic times I want to hide away from everyone and anything that is 100% not necessary if you kwim.

Have a good friYAY girls. May there be more yay than anything in the day today. Hugs and love and all good things.

Leaving you with a photo I took as we were driving to our appointments.
I love clouds.

Hello lovelies

Awww @Slick1, I love the way he’s got his little back legs crossed, Dottie used to do that with her front paws.

I know having one huge surgery with a long recovery period doesn’t seem like much of a positive @mrs-b, but if it’s going to help, that’s the best way to look at it. Sending lots of good and positive vibes your way for the absolute best outcome. Poor Cirrus, I’m sorry to hear he’s still not well, hoping the next consult brings better results.

Try not to worry too much @missy, I know it’s easier said than done, but a lot of labs are backed up so it’s not necessarily anything other than that. We‘ve been dealing with Covid so long that it’s natural to still be fearful, but if you’re outside and distanced with Greg’s friend you’ll be OK. It’s hard to change our mindset about it because who knew we’d still be here all this time later?

I hope Marty is doing well @marcy and not in too much pain. I imagine it must be incredibly boring for someone so used to being active, having to sit back and take it easy. Hopefully the patient is being patient!

Whoda thunk getting shopping and contemplating vacuuming would be the highlight of our lives @canuk-gal  ? Wishing you an exciting weekend.

Thanks for the hoops love @MamaBee. We’re hoping to make a lightening visit as soon as we get our passports back after the interview (assuming they say YES ) so we’ll go up to the house. Adam & Kim are away this weekend, otherwise they’d have gone up to have a look at the progress for us. I didn‘t particularly want to go down the new build route, but after not seeing anything we really liked, this was our best solution. I’m sure you could find a floorplan you really like, that would have a video walk through so DH would be able to see what it’d turn out like. I really didn’t want to have the MMR last week as it’s a live vaccine, and I was sure I didn’t need it, and the blood test proved me right. Hoping your Mum is being kept safe and well.

We spent yesterday going through the paperwork for the sale of our house, oy, some of the questions are almost unanswerable. We gave our solicitor all the paperwork relating to the building of the orangery and erection of the wall and gates so they should’ve been able to answer the questions rather than push it back to us. We got it done, and dropped it off before going to Colin’s follow up appt. We made sure we got there early, and Colin waited in the car till just before his appointment time. I was surprised when he came out a few minutes later. He was told the Dr was running 45 minutes late, which means at least an hour, and he told them he wasn’t sitting around waiting, and they could’ve at least had the decency to phone and let him know. So that was an hour and half wasted driving there and back. The Dr has been away, so he’s obviously tried to cram in as many appts as he could to make up his fees, with no hope of keeping them all. It’s a complete disrespect of other people‘s time.

TGIF, now to go through all our immigration paperwork ahead of next week.

Big love and hugs to you all :wavey:

Good morning! I’m getting ready to get my pre-colonoscopy appointment..Ugh..Then we will pack up and head to Maryland. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I hope to be back in one piece after helping with the boys..
@mrs-b One surgery is so much better than many…It’s a one and done..That’s something to celebrate. On the other hand..It will be a long recovery…I’m hoping that even though the recovery will be long..most of the time will be pain free…The light is at the end of the tunnel. I think you should buy yourself a sparkly reward at the end..
David cut me a pink lab sapphire for the setting. I love pink..haha He cut it himself…Is there anything this man can’t do? Obviously not…I didn’t want to put a whole lot of money into it now because I don’t know how much I will wear it... If I decide later to get a natural gem I can always do that.

@Austina I would jump on an opportunity to build our next house. I would want to pick out all the finishes. I would be able to visualize what it would look like. Hubby would need to see it in real life. I can wear him down though..haha It would be great if we can find a new house that is already in the process of being built. That’s probably not going to happen. I will be tearing things out things if we get an established house. I don’t know how that can be better.
I’m really excited for your long awaited visit to see your son, daughter-in-law, and your house site! So exciting!

HI:

@MamaBee speaking of colonoscopies' I went to my GP for another reason today, but brought the subject up. I have no risk factor, so we do the FIT testing instead of jumping right into the more invasive procedure. Sounds good to me!

Weather a bit broody here--some sun and some rain showers. My family is going out of town--and I am sticking around here. Although I'd like to see my Mom again, I don't like long drives for a day turn around.

NIRDI shout out!!!!!!!!!!

cheers--Sharon

That’s what we do here @canuk-gal, I had a sigmoidoscopy at 55, but since then, they send the kit to your home, you do the test, and send it back. I did mine this week. (We call it the poo stick test  )

@Austina @canuk-gal I have a family history…My father had severely atypical polyps..His sister had colon cancer..She passed away at thirty nine. I’ve had colonoscopies since I’ve been forty years old. I had four polyps four years ago... The doctor dropped one polyp so it couldn’t be tested. I was supposed to go back in three years…but Covid happened. It will be four years since the last one. It feels like yesterday..ugh..

Yes, your risk factors requires you to be followed closely. Colonoscopies' are like certifying every year for CPR--painful! LOL

"Fortunately" I had a colonoscopy/gastro several years ago following up another complaint. I really don't want another one unless the FIT comes back with unhealthy results.

Happy bowel prep!:bigsmile::devil:

Just a hello to everyone!
I thought I had checked in here only a couple of days ago and it’s been a week!
Grandbaby more fun every day. Everyone still exhausted of course, except the baby (of course) who’s having a ball keeping everyone up at night.
Will write more soon. Happy weekend!

I used to cry many years ago when I had to literally drink salt. I’m not a crier either. That stuff was so horrible. Now the prep is so much better. I‘m still not happy.. I’m scheduled for November 29! They are so backed up! No pun intended!

Great you'll be pooping lotz, right before my BD!!!!:P2:devil:

Hi everyone!

@MamaBee, safe travels and have a great visit with your DIL and grandsons. I'm looking forward to seeing your new pink ring. LOL to backed up!
@marcy, I'm glad Marty's surgery went well, sending lots of healing vibes to him. Hope his pain is easing up and he's more comfortable.
@Austina, the earrings look amazing on you, love them! Ugh to that paperwork. It's great to see some progress on the house. Here's hoping you can visit soon. so cool you went to Highclere Castle, big fan of Downton Abbey. DD and I watched Force of Nature on amazon prime and the Queen's Gambit, which was great, and some episodes of the Baker and the Beauty on Netflix.
@missy, I hope you get your bloodwork soon, seems like everything is backed up these days. So nice that Greg's friend stopped by for a visit.
@mrs-b, good news that you only need one surgery but I'm sorry it's so involved and the recovery is long. Sending lots of good wishes to Cirrus, poor thing. I hope Tufts can diagnose the issue. I'm still in South Carolina, staying until Labor Day. DD is starting her new job on Monday and is having plenty of new job jitters.
@Jemi, aw, how great you're getting to spend time with your grandbaby. It's crazy how quickly the days go by, isn't it?
@canuk-gal, I hope you have a good weekend and the weather cooperates!
@Slick1, love the pics of Bear, so so cute!!

Taking advantage of these last few weeks here and spending some time at the beach. We bought a canopy because we don't want to be in the sun too much. I was hoping ds and his girlfriend could come for a visit but turns out they already have plans to go to the Jersey shore.

Sending good thoughts to everyone, have a great weekend!

GM girls! Happy Caturday Saturday!

Our call went eh with our endocrinologist yesterday.

All my blood work still isn't back but I got most of it right as our telemedicine call began so I had little time to process it. But my endocrinologist is very flexible with me thankfully and for the most part answered most of my questions. Of course there are results we cannot explain. Always a medical mystery.

What upsets me most is Greg's low thyroid hormone and for some reason our endocrinologist is being stubborn whereas with me he is flexible with Greg he doesn't want to increase his liothyronine. Makes no sense but we are playing the game for now and doing what we wants Greg to do and then we shall repeat blood in 2 weeks and I hope we can convince him to increase Greg's meds.

The endocrinologist said "Missy has plenty of lio meds she can give to you and I cannot stop you" WTH. He has to RX them for Greg. SMH. But we will play along for 2 weeks and stop all Greg's lio and he will crash and we shall prove what we need to prove.

The big problem is the endocrinology board which he has to answer to. They don't know how to treat thyroid. But I like our endocrinologist and he has been flexible in the past and I want an MD who is based in western med to follow Greg because of his cancer so I don't want to switch to a functional medicine doctor who would 100% agree with my treatment plan. I have to work on Dr J.

Whew, sorry for the book. Lots more but it's boring for you so will stop there. My friends offline are welcome to any info they want. Interesting my endocrinologist did check our antibody status to Covid and I was 1900. I have no clue what that means besides that it is good as I forgot to ask. Greg's was much lower so I am worried about him. He never seems to have much of a vaccine reaction and now I worry he isn't protected. His SARS antibodies was 581.4. Is that bad? I have to google and find out if no one here knows.

We went outlet outdoor shopping to enjoy the few hours before Greg's friend (who is now my friend too but I always say Greg's friend because they are childhood friends) arrived. We of course boiught stuff that we didn't need haha. I got more sneakers so cute and some pretty underwear and a few miscellaneous odds and ends. We wore masks and I was pleased to see others wearing them too despite it not yet being mandated.

Then D visited and it was lovely. He said that yesterday was probably his last day of work and he was going to retire. He had been semi retired and so will go full on retired. He is an adventurous guy and he did a five month 6000 cross country road trip cycling with Greg when they were in their early 20s. He likes to be doing things as does Greg so it shall be interesting to see how retirement goes for him. I love being retired and have not been bored one second of it.

Today we might attempt cycling. Chance of rain. Yesterday it was also a chance of rain and it did rain so we will decide closer to when we are leaving.

@canuk-gal hope the air is still clear and you get to do whatever you want to this weekend and have fun doing it.

Have a beautiful and peaceful weekend girls. XOXO.

Good morning girls…I just had my coffee. No rest for the weary…I have to get everything packed up for the trip to Virginia this morning. I had a solid six hours of sleep last night…That’s unusual for me because I get up every two hours with long stretches of time that I’m awake…Those six hours should power me through today..I need all the power I can get! Insomnia is the pits..
Thank you @missy I feel the same way about you..XOXO
I hope everyone has a great weekend! Big hugs..

Hello lovelies

Save travels @MamaBee hope you have a smooth journey today.

Aww @Jemi I’m sure you’re all shattered coping with a newborn, thank goodness they do eventually get in to a sleeping pattern.

Wow @missy, that photo looks unreal. I think we do sometimes forget how much beauty there is around us, especially in these times. I hate that every single thing is such a trial for you, I just wish you’d get some straight answers and solutions instead of more obstacles to deal with. I’m glad you enjoyed Greg’s friend’s visit yesterday, I do think it helps feel more ‘normal’ to do things like that, whilst being safe of course.

We really enjoyed Queens Gambit too @junebug17, it doesn’t initially sound that interesting, but it was really worth watching. Enjoy your time in SC, time passes all too quickly.

How’s Marty doing @marcy? I hope he’s finding it a bit easier each day and getting used to his sling. How’re you, are you running around after him?

Hope Cirrus is doing better @mrs-b and that you’re feeling OK and optimistic about your surgery.

The ‘collection’ process isn’t too onerous @canuk-gal, surgical gloves might be a good idea :eek-2:

We’ve just gone through every document we need for the interview, so hopefully that’s all in order.

I don’t know why, but this morning I looked on the house website, and I was :-o:shock: to discover, the style of house we’re buying has gone up $300,000!!!!! Good grief, thank goodness we signed the contract when we did.

Have a lovely weekend, we’ll be tidying and cleaning tomorrow for the surveyor whose coming on Monday to try and find things wrong with the house!!!

:wavey:

Hi NIRDI’s!

@canuk-gal nice you had some rain and clear sky - yay for being able to see in mountains!

@Slick1 Bear is growing a bit and of course is still a cutie! Darn for getting ready to go back to work.

@missy glad you got some rides in and enjoyed some delicious ice cream. I hope that hurricane doesn’t come your way! Beautiful sky picture on the way to your appointments. Sorry you don’t have your lab results yet. I hope Greg enjoyed having his friend visit. Glad the endocrinologist answered some of your questions for you. I hate to hear Greg’s thyroid reading was low and the doctor didn’t change his medicine right now. Beautiful sunset.

@Austina how exciting to see more progress on your house! Looking good. Funny you mentioned this is hard of Marty; he is definitely antsy today; he’s been pacing around the house tonight. I can tell he is bored with this. Darn the doctor was running late - sadly that is a frequent problem around here. Good luck with your immigration paperwork. Holy Cow - $300,000 price increase - you signed that contract at the right time!

@MamaBee I agree @missy needs a Dr. House - he didn’t give up until he figured it out. He didn’t have a good bedside manner but I’d rather have a good doctor than a polite one. That is nice to go help Allie out while Scott is traveling - safe travels for everyone. You are certainly busy!

@mrs-b mega dust for Cirrus to be doing better! Glad you only need to have one surgery but it does sound like a “big” one with long recovery. Sending mega dust to you. That is awesome Eleanor is so happy.

@Jemi the baby is doing her job - keeping everyone awake a night! Good thing she’s cute, right?

@junebug17 good idea to get a canopy for the beach house; I have to admit enjoying the beach about now sounds great!

Thank you all for good well wishes for Marty. He is doing pretty well. His pain is better so he’s only taking a pain pill to sleep. Being strong and having long arms has certainly been beneficial for this. I hardly need to help him.

I went in to work Thursday and Friday. Marty was going to a poker game last night since a good friend of his is in town but decided to ask everyone to come here just incase he got tired plus he could prop up his arm easily here. That worked out great other than Marty certainly didn’t come out on the winning side last night. We went out for breakfast today then went to a funeral and reception. After the reception we ate lunch and came home. I wrote 2 articles for the local newspaper; I found the first one too boring. I did laundry and ran to the park after a brief rain to try out my new lens.

Take care.
