I'm soo glad your hubby's surgery went well @marcy
these are specially for @canuk-gal
I’m exhausted I tell yas!!! And getting ready to go back to work Yes, I’m that crazy fur mom who takes pics while he sleeps!!
He looks so much bigger in pics because I get down to his level. He is still firmly around the ankles. Love him! I needed this! ♥
NIRDI ((hugs)) and shout-outs! Sorry I’ve been remiss in posting! Thinking of you all and reading along!!
Hello lovelies
Awww @Slick1, I love the way he’s got his little back legs crossed, Dottie used to do that with her front paws.
I know having one huge surgery with a long recovery period doesn’t seem like much of a positive @mrs-b, but if it’s going to help, that’s the best way to look at it. Sending lots of good and positive vibes your way for the absolute best outcome. Poor Cirrus, I’m sorry to hear he’s still not well, hoping the next consult brings better results.
Try not to worry too much @missy, I know it’s easier said than done, but a lot of labs are backed up so it’s not necessarily anything other than that. We‘ve been dealing with Covid so long that it’s natural to still be fearful, but if you’re outside and distanced with Greg’s friend you’ll be OK. It’s hard to change our mindset about it because who knew we’d still be here all this time later?
I hope Marty is doing well @marcy and not in too much pain. I imagine it must be incredibly boring for someone so used to being active, having to sit back and take it easy. Hopefully the patient is being patient!
Whoda thunk getting shopping and contemplating vacuuming would be the highlight of our lives @canuk-gal ? Wishing you an exciting weekend.
Thanks for the hoops love @MamaBee. We’re hoping to make a lightening visit as soon as we get our passports back after the interview (assuming they say YES ) so we’ll go up to the house. Adam & Kim are away this weekend, otherwise they’d have gone up to have a look at the progress for us. I didn‘t particularly want to go down the new build route, but after not seeing anything we really liked, this was our best solution. I’m sure you could find a floorplan you really like, that would have a video walk through so DH would be able to see what it’d turn out like. I really didn’t want to have the MMR last week as it’s a live vaccine, and I was sure I didn’t need it, and the blood test proved me right. Hoping your Mum is being kept safe and well.
We spent yesterday going through the paperwork for the sale of our house, oy, some of the questions are almost unanswerable. We gave our solicitor all the paperwork relating to the building of the orangery and erection of the wall and gates so they should’ve been able to answer the questions rather than push it back to us. We got it done, and dropped it off before going to Colin’s follow up appt. We made sure we got there early, and Colin waited in the car till just before his appointment time. I was surprised when he came out a few minutes later. He was told the Dr was running 45 minutes late, which means at least an hour, and he told them he wasn’t sitting around waiting, and they could’ve at least had the decency to phone and let him know. So that was an hour and half wasted driving there and back. The Dr has been away, so he’s obviously tried to cram in as many appts as he could to make up his fees, with no hope of keeping them all. It’s a complete disrespect of other people‘s time.
TGIF, now to go through all our immigration paperwork ahead of next week.
Big love and hugs to you all
That’s what we do here @canuk-gal, I had a sigmoidoscopy at 55, but since then, they send the kit to your home, you do the test, and send it back. I did mine this week. (We call it the poo stick test )
LOL. Yup that is it! My GP was very funny about the collection process....I'll spare you the details but suffice it to say, it made me LOL!
cheers--Sharon
@Austina @canuk-gal I have a family history…My father had severely atypical polyps..His sister had colon cancer..She passed away at thirty nine. I’ve had colonoscopies since I’ve been forty years old. I had four polyps four years ago... The doctor dropped one polyp so it couldn’t be tested. I was supposed to go back in three years…but Covid happened. It will be four years since the last one. It feels like yesterday..ugh..
Yes, your risk factors requires you to be followed closely. Colonoscopies' are like certifying every year for CPR--painful! LOL
"Fortunately" I had a colonoscopy/gastro several years ago following up another complaint. I really don't want another one unless the FIT comes back with unhealthy results.
Happy bowel prep!
cheers--Sharon
I used to cry many years ago when I had to literally drink salt. I’m not a crier either. That stuff was so horrible. Now the prep is so much better. I‘m still not happy.. I’m scheduled for November 29! They are so backed up! No pun intended!
