Hello lovelies
Yes, international travel is a real trial @Jemi, and dealing with all the different rules and regulations in each country, an even bigger trial. Are you thinking about giving up your French residency?
Hi @azstonie , I hope everything is well with you and yours.
@MamaBee, that's so encouraging that only 1 resident has got Covid (1 too many) but it does give you faith, that the vaccines and boosters are doing their job, I think I've told you before that it'll soon be law that the No Jab, no Job policy will be introduced. It's criminal that people can work in these situations without being vaccinated. Honestly, I felt the same as you about DH retiring, Colin was barely home, so it was a big adjustment, but it's all worked out fine. Does S have any hobbies that he can spend time doing? Also setting out the ground rules about who'll be doing what right from the start helps too.
@Calliecake I hope you and all your family are doing well and keeping safe.
@junebug17 I hope you enjoyed your family time together at Christmas.
I hope you're managing to sleep in a bit now you're retired @marcy, although I expect it'll take your body clock a while to get used to not having to get up early.
Awww your Mum looks so comfortable with JJ @missy. My friends cat sleeps on her head I don't think I could get used to that, I sleep little enough without anything or anyone keeping me awake. Enjoy your walk today, it's dull here with a predicted high in the 80's
We went out yesterday to look at units for our laundry. We're not having the builders do it as they want a totally ridiculous amount of money for very little. We've paid for then to put in the plumbing for a sink but that's it (hook ups for the washer and dryer are included). I've fallen in love with a high gloss navy blue cabinet, and a white stone counter top with speckles in it. The speckles look black in the photo, but are more of a blue/black IRL.
No plans for today, but that could change, have a wonderful Wednesday wonderful NIRDIs
