Almost home...cycled 45 miles and saw Jimmy and his sons and it was so much fun despite the cold.

Busy week. As I pick up an extra shift...of course I am tired. Increasing workload...etc...etc...you know the drill. Anyway. I did get to the pool/gym twice this week. I need to buy a couple more suits...I am ruining my beach quality $$$ piece doing acqua-size. Too cold to cycle. My pelvic US was normal, so it is just old age and aches and pains. Parts just don't last forever.

@missy keep your strength. So much out there is painful to read and not digestible.

@Austina I hope you peeps are on the mends. Enjoy your company!

Not a busy weekend. Swimsuit shopping and a very low key Sunday supper consisting of my Mom's old M & C recipe and fennel Italian sausage on the side. My family loves homemade M & C, but I don't eat it. All good.

I'm doing OK, As I wrote in another post somewhere here I never wanted to be a spokesperson for this cause but I have an obligation to speak up for what is right and true. I see so many horrific lies everywhere and PS is no exception. Shame on all of those spreading these lies. Willful ignorance. And they are so self righteous about it too. So convinced they are right. It's quite the marvel truthfully. Seeing this in action. From relatively intelligent humans. Terrifying.

I know in my heart somehow someday everyone will know the truth about all this (or they already know in their hearts) but I am almost as certain they will continue denying because it doesn't fit their narrative.

@Cinders Thank you again. I appreciate very much you chiming in with support. It feels at times like a PS mob is against me but I won't let them bully me and back me into silence. Hello everyone else. Hope all is well.

We enjoyed fun but chilly cycling yesterday and it was a good thing we did...thunderto;rms and rain predicted for the next 2.5 days. It was great seeing the ice cream crew too because they were closed these past three months for renovations. Still not completely finished (supposed to have been completed by first week of March) but they are open. It was late afternoon by the time we got there and we were their first customers of the year. But I turned down their offer of ice cream on the house as I was too chilly. Greg had a scoop. We were chatting for an hour and when we were leaving they insisted on giving us a pint to take home and even though it's a 75-90 minute bike ride from their place (20 miles or so) the ice cream did not melt. It was chilly lol.

OK so right before we left yesterday I took a photo. Our sweet ice cream guys. Nicest people you will meet. Sweet and kind and lovely. Jimmy's two sons are huge animal lovers and M rescued two outdoor kitties and is in the process of domesticating them and they are living in safety in his new house. M is a gentle soul. And the other son just got a dog (beagle) who we will meet soon. It was great catching up and now we will see them hopefully on a more regular basis.

Hello everyone else. Hope you are all enjoying a delicious weekend

It's a dreary drizzly chilly day at the shore
I slept late which feels good though now I am already behind
The feral cats and our cats were all waiting for food and I felt bad keeping them waiting by sleeping til 6AM
It is Sunday of course but they depend on us. I was just so tired. Anyway they are all fed now and I am having coffee.
Ahhhh coffee

We went hiking yesterday because it was sort of misty out and today I do not think cycling is on the agneda. Too wet.
Tomorrow is St Patty's Day and we have the annual pub crawl that all Greg's college friends and more attend
Greg really wants me to go
It's a real hassle getting there. The ferry only runs once going into the city after the morning rush and then getting back it stops at a different location where our car won't be. Crazy ferry. It used to be more convenient but after the pandemic they cut the number of ferries

Anyway we'll see. Tomorrow is predicted to be chilly (40s mainly) and rain most of the daylight hours. Not exactly a fun ride into the city and then walking from pub to pub all afternoon. I have always gone with Greg and never missed one he went to and I don't want to disappoint him. I will try to attend. But it will depend on how I am feeling tomorrow. I do have a new green wig just in case and I have St Patty Day Cat leggings I would wear if I go. So even though my former St Patty's day outfit is in NYC (it was my tradition (25 years) to always wear the same St Patty's Day outfit-green dress with green tights and more recently my green wig ) I am ready lol

@canuk-gal it's 55F here and I was hot overnight lol. Even though it was pouring I had all the windows open. I should have put the AC on it was too warm for me...hope your weather is getting warmer too

@marcy we watched a house hunters that took place in Cheyenne Wyoming..so pretty there and of course there was snow on the ground and I think it was supposedly spring haha

GM everyone else. We did go cycling yesterday despite the wind as the temps were mild and we just took a different route because it was super windy It was fun and I am glad we went.

Today is our pub crawl and despite the torrential downpours now it's supposed to become a drizzle later. Not great weather for a lot of outside activity plus we are taking the ferry and I tend to get motion sick so we shall see how it goes lol. It's not a cheap way to travel because the ferry is 50$ each person and because it doesn't run at all locations. So we are taking it from a different location than arriving back at another location so we will have to uber it and despite the two locations being just 10- 15 minutes away it is costing too much for uber. I mean it's crazy. We could walk it as it's only 3.5 miles but the rain makes that less attractive an we are getting back on the late side too. I am concerned leaving the cats alone all day. Jasper has been able to breach the screen we have blocking upstairs keeping Bobby safe four times now! Greg ordered a latch and hopefully it'll arrive before we leave and he can install it but it's unlikely to arrive before we leave. So we have a temporary block against the screen with weights. But Jasper is very clever. And each time he got past the screen we heard screaming upstairs and Bobby was cornered. TG we were home and TG he remained unscathed but that's only because we heard it as soon as it happened because we were home. SO you can see why I am reluctant to leave all day and I am, as mentioned in previous posts, not super excited about going. I am just not a people person. I don't want to disappoint Greg and he told me if I don't go he won't go despite me saying I want him too. So I am stuck. Sigh. I probably will have fun as I always do but it's a long day and I can only take so much of socializing and because of the ferry we must stay all afternoon as the next ferry isn't til much later. Longer than I want to socialize tbh. But I will make the best of it.

Hope your outing goes well @missy, I'm sure you will have fun! I get what you are saying thought, socialising is tiering and not always fun even when its fun. Hahaha I hope you get what I'm saying. Just so many people. And they may not even be dog people. Exhausting. But you always look lovely in your green outfit, so there is always that LOL.

Thank you so much to all of you for your good wishes. Just training this weekend, decided we needed at bit of that ... LOL. So I'll be competing again next weekend. Not with Link though, he has his prize now in the "not adult" category, so I'll focus on the other youngster for now. @missy @springerspaniel @Austina and all the rest of you !

The dogs have been doing very well I think. All except the one that I need to do well, of course. He is just not pointing. And for a pointer (breed) pointing dog (type) that really is a bit of a draw back if he is going to win anything... And as he turns 2 years late in April, we do have to hurry if he is going to get the "young dog" prize that I want for him. He will get there, his pointing is not so strong on purpose, because if it is too strong genetically, they will at some point stop being willing to flush the bird. So it's all a matter of balance from a competitive perspective. And I may have miscalculated with a few weeks... The thing is that you fix the pointing by not allowing them to run after the bird once it is flushed. But you don't want to be to strict with a young dog, because that may lower the joy, and thus limit the search capability. So I have tried to time if for March... to maximise... LOL. Should have aimed at February.

@missy I am glad you enjoyed a St. Patrick’s Day outing. I never like venturing out for distant or all-day adventures, but I end up having a good time. I like your pictures from other years. Having a key to an ice cream shop, it pretty awesome. I can eat ice cream no matter the weather. Glad you got some miles in on the bike. I hope Gracie responds to treatment. Poor kitty. I’ve got your back, I am so disappointed in the crap that has been going on. Just when I think people have sunk to their lowest - nope. I was wrong. Sad to see so many people being blatant lies. A house hunters in Cheyenne? I’ll have to look for that episode. I hope it wasn’t those nasty people that bought our house. Ha Ha.

@Austina I hope you are enjoying your company and are feeling better. I hate to hear Colin isn’t feeling well, I hope he’s on the mend soon. The launch was good and they’ll be back tomorrow. Our all-sky camera caught the ISS right before docking the other day. That was cool. I hope the AC gets fixed soon.

@canuk-gal darn those pesky aches and pains, but what a relief your tests didn’t show anything. Homemade Mac and cheese is quite tasty. Have fun shopping for swimsuits.

I tell you, I need to quit being so busy. Work, work, work, then I veg out on the weekend but that’s go, go, go. Friday night we had a 5-hour power outage starting at 8 p.m. We never heard what happened but about 1,500 households were without power. They had over half of them back online in about 2 hours, but we must have been last on their list because it didn’t come back on until after midnight. Being the cold person that I am, I went to bed in sweats and through on an extra blanket. This city girl didn’t think of the well has a water pump that needs electricity. Luckily, our wine fridge is full of bottled water.

Saturday I can’t even remember what we did. Marty worked on the observatory and I worked my way through a long to-do list of things I haven’t got done lately. Sunday we headed to Colorado for my nephew’s 50th birthday party with the family. There were 15 of us there. It was fun. I dropped off some of my rings that needed some minor repairs and we went to some computer store for more things for the observatory. I got myself a new computer monitor. I hook I up my laptop to a larger monitor and I got one that had a better image than the one I’m using. It’s a bit smaller than what I had but this one has adjustable height and tilts. It gave me more room on my desk so I’m happy with it.

Yesterday was a blast and I am glad I pushed myself to go. Plus Greg was happy and that was the only reason I initially decided to go but it was a lot of fun seeing our friends. It's funny because no less than three of them thought that was my bio hair that I dyed for the occasion. LOL heck no.

Which we all know from the past 17 months more than ever needs to exist for the Jewish people. Truly twilight zone this past year and a half and I am paying attention to all who have remained silent or spoken out against Isra***. But I digress. Your friendship and support mean the world to me.

Hahaha yes Jimmy insisted we take the key (5?) years ago...he would not take no for an answer. And AFAIK aside from his immediate family who run the shoppe with him we are the only others who have the key. We are true ice cream lovers and generally yes I have it in all kinds of weather but the other day I was pretty cold and knew if I had the ice cream there I would be freezing all the way home. I am like a lizard that way

I agree if work is too much to slow it down girl. You deserve some R&R and as long as you are having fun doing what you are doing it's all good. But if it's time to pull back a bit you should IMO. UGH power outage. My big worry here. As I type this the winds are FEROCIOUS and I know we could easily lose power. Yes we have a generator because we too often do lose power here and now that I have the med that must be temperature controlled it's even more concerning. And as we all know nothing, including generators. are foolproof. Anyway may your power remain on and may everything go smoothly

Hello lovelies

Just a quick catch up, Saturday’s flight was over 2 1/2 hours late which had me worrying all day about knock on impact! I woke up really early Sunday to check the flight status and thankfully their flight was on time. Had a busy day, but got to the airport and they were out really quickly and we were home by 7pm.

They’ve been relaxing by the pool and catching some rays! It’s very windy though - maybe not Cheyenne windy, but T is tiny and I may need to lash her to the sun bed

A/C got fixed this morning, thank goodness.

@marcy, the launch was pretty exciting and I’m glad the stranded astronauts are now on their way home. I’m not looking at that other thread, my BP can’t stand the utter rubbish being spouted. Oy to your electricity being out for so long, definitely a disadvantage to living outside of town.

Loved the photos @missy, and I’m glad you had a good time. Sometimes we have to push ourselves to do things, and end up enjoying them nonetheless. You and Greg are a great looking couple.

Good luck with the pups @Scandinavian, sounds quite the juggling act to get them up to peak performance. Hopefully the youngster will perform on cue during his trial.

Hey everyone else. Sorry to post and run as I am in a mad dash being so late. We went cycling yesterday and it was great and last night I had my zoom call with my girlfriends also great. But I slept very hard overnight because I was exhausted I guess and I wanted to work out before my appointment. Now I only have time for a mini workout boo. It's OK we are cycling later but I don't consider that a workout. It's too much fun lol.

I had strawberry and peanut butter swirl and Greg had cherry bourbon and lion's mane coffee. OMG I tasted both of his flavors and they were all so good. I mean heavenly. I don't think today is a cycling day (cry cry cry) so no ice cream today...and the rest of the week looks very crappy weather wise but if we can go we will. Anyway just wanted to share our first real ice cream of the season One day I hope I can share in person with some of you

Today Greg has a morning appointment with his specialist and then we are probably going hiking as it is very chilly and very windy today. Tomorrow 40 mph winds and even colder. Cmon Spring. First day is not springlike at all

Busy week. Too busy for this old gal. Work is A LOT of it. And that is only part of the busy equation. Health, family stuff, etc etc. And to add to the mix, my DH wants a new vehicle--an SUV. Really, who has time and the patience to investigate---I don't. eyieyieyi

I am glad for Spring. But the weather here in the Rockies! 4 seasons in an hour! After all my errands today DH thought we could go cycling. But I drove home in a brief snow squall. But that isn't a thing...now our paths are under construction? I'll refrain from expletives however tempted.

Sorry for the rant. I'll just end on a positive note that I got an appt. for the medical group that deals with my type of pelvic/pain problem. It is a month from now, but am happy /hopeful. I'd love a solution so I can have my life back since I know I am old and a trade in part isn't an option. LOL
