Oh the huggies! I want them. I've seen a few PSers with them...they are just so great for everyday!

I have 1 pair of gravel/spit...whatever you want to call them. They are .5ctw. They are little cluster earrings sort of like little snowflakes. Even tho the diamonds in them aren't quality, I love them.
Special story how I got them: they were given to me by DHs grandma for Christmas two years ago. I had made a Christmas list, and had put diamond earrings on it as a clue for DH. Well he passed the whole list on to his family when his mom asked for it...and grandma very sweetly got me earrings. I felt special...since most grandkids just get some cash

I've got 5 pairs, one pair I wear all the time, one pair on occasions, the other 3 pretty rarely.

1.00ctw RB studs that I wear 99% of the time.

.30ctw bezel set studs that I sometimes wear in my second piercings.

.30ctw claw set studs that I rarely wear now, they stick out so far!

.25ctw channel set hoops sometimes I wear these with my little bezels.

.25ctw double row claw set hoops.

I have none currently , but I hope to buy a pair of studs sometime in the next year or so . No idea what tcw I'll end up with, but I am thinking around 1.2-1.5tcw (ie 0.60ct-0.75ct per stud)? I'll need to work out mm size for them first though, to make sure they aren't too big for me.

ETA: Does anyone know if any of the PS vendors in particular are good with making posts slightly thicker than the normal? Not overly so, just a little thicker....? Obviously once I am closer to buying I will ask them directly, but I am just curious if anyone knows.

Itsy bitsy teeny weenie princess cut studs from Kohls that my Mom got me when I was in middle school.

I wear the martinis and the hoops almost daily. I'm saving up for .50tcw (or more if I can hold out!) studs.

Here are pics of mine. I don't have a pic of the wee princess cuts. Huh. I don't have a single pic of my scattered hoops with my studs - which is how I wear them daily. I'll have to get on that.

I absolutely love these earrings, swingirl! I would buy a pair for myself-I used to wear only the most delicate, classical jewelry-but I

think I am now too old to carry them off! They look as if they were made for someone young. I envy you being able to wear something

so delicate and classic!!!

I have 3 pairs of earrings. These pics are not great, but you get the idea; it's from an old thread.

1. RB studs - It's part of the wedding gift from MIL, so I don't know the size. I am guessing 2/3ctw because they are bigger than the 0.5ctw that I got for my mom.


2. huggies with two rows of princess - It's a Christmas gift from DH, back when we were dating. No idea of the size, as the stones are very small.


3. hoops - 1.54ctw, G-H, VS2, 1 3/4" diameter, bead set.

I own 0 .. I would love to own some BGD bezel studs with milgrain (ala phoenix) but then again I always lose my cheapo earrings so I would be very very afraid to get real ones. Thousands of dollars falling out of my ear! ahhh!

That was done in 2005...how things change! Now, I have the near 1 tcw earrings I had hoped for. Not quite that size but larger than the .50 tcw I had back then.

I hope I made you happy by posting the 5 year old thread, MC! My situation has not changed in the past 5 years, however. I still have the same two pairs of diamond earrings, both studs. One pair, my first, is 2.50 carats total weight. They are E colored and I "matched" them myself. (The cuts are not very similar.) I found them too big, so I bought another pair. This pair was well-cut 1.04 carat total weight diamonds. I don't recall the color, but I suspect it was also E. Maybe D. These were just the right size. I have the certs in the safety deposit box, so I can't look right away!

Sounds like your 1.04s are perfect! It is nice to see that old thread and that I had the opportunity to find studs that are perfect for daily wear. I ended up selling the smaller ones b/c they weren't as good of a match as my ACAs and once I got those, nothing else would quite measure up! lol Now, I am wanting a pair of bezel studs to go with my TBTY pendant. Some time in the future...I hope.

I had a gorgeous pair of pave hoops that were a great size and gifted to me by a bunch of friends for my thirtieth birthday. I am much more of a hoop person than a studs person. Now i have ONE of those earrings. I wore them every single day, and i loved them so so much. I guess the clasp on them got a little worn out and loosened up - one fell out of my ear. I noticed after I had gotten home and have searched high and low for the other earring. Never found it - that was about a year ago. I have kept the other one, and do intend to have my jeweler (where they were purchased) make me a matching one at some point. It's depressing.
