#JOTW NYC visit to IDJ - setting search for my Q/R OEC

I so so love it ... it's the perfect blend of modern and antique looking!!

A friend of mine is going to visit IDJ late November to look at settings. Do you know if they offer a PS discount?

I just have to say... It was such a pleasure and an HONOR to get to meet you and be a part of the "choosing". No one will every fully appreciate the effort... the closed stores, quiet streets, gusty wind, and MILLIONS of settings to choose from!!
You had so many beautiful options, and all were so DIFFERENT. But you did a great job of filtering out the ones that didn't work... Too "dainty", too "like" what you already own, too expensive, too common, too "modern" for you OEC, etc. I think you made a brilliant choice balancing the antique nature of your diamond, the aesthetics of what looks good on YOU, complimenting the color of your diamond and staying within your price-point. It is a STUNNING ring!!! I am SO excited for you!!

And remember what we talked about... Not everyone will like every ring. And that is OK! The only person you need to please is YOU!

It was SO MUCH FUN to get to meet you in such a surprising way! (We were literally heading to the airport in an hour!) I was sad that I only got an hour in the Diamond District... but in that hour I got to meet YOU and get a lovely pair of earrings for my DD for Christmas. It probably was a blessing in disguise because I just would have spent more...

And if it's OK with you... once I import all the photos from our trip... I would love to post the picture of the 2 of us! Would that be OK??

Thank you all sooooo very much for sharing in my joy!! I'm glad there are many who like the choice I made! It sure looks purdy in the casinos and hitting up the slots! It mst be lucky because I won $80 on a $0.80 spin this morning and just won $116 on a $0.40 spin tonight!! Good karma in this ring :halo:

Here she is outside the Bellagio with the Paris hotel in the background. It reminded me of justginger's holiday shots of poppy!

The Aria has amazing floral displays everywhere... So here are MORE! the ones I took with the ring inside the calla Lillie's looked perfect when shooting, but reviewing...that stamen is a bit too inappropriate for posing a ring around!! :lol:

It looks beautiful Enerchi! Those prongs :love: I have also always been a real fan of shanks that taper the way yours does, I think it makes the stone look bigger.

It was a long journey, but I think the end result looks like a million bucks! Enjoy!

I saw your gorgeous ring in the PS featured ring of the week and quickly came over to look for more pictures. Let me tell you, you didn't disappoint. Tons of pretty pictures and the ring is wow! The setting is wow! The whole package is wow! Can you tell I'm at a loss for words?
