I enjoyed reading Dougsgirl's account of the process of choosing the setting. The rings on here can look "easy" once they're done but sifting through the choice is a challenge. What you chose just looks meant to be - lovely with the diamond and on your finger.

Hi Brooke. No that is not the same as what I ended up with...but it was my 2nd choice!! It was gorgeous!! But I felt it was too similar to my BGD 3 stone and too modern for this stone.

My stone fit in beautifully and Yekutiel said he'd be able to open the prongs a bit more too. I don't remember any of the specs on this ring but feel free to cut and paste the pics and fire off an email to him. He should remember the 2 crazy PSers right after hurricane sandy!!

Yes, this is from IDJ, which is ID Jewelry and their website is www.idjewelryonline.com.. Yekutiel is a very easy going guy so very easy to talk to. IDJ is one of the ps favorites and very affordable. Will you be able to go to see them on site?

Yes, I even posted on it! I have had great experiences with both and now I'm at a tie for 3 items each vendor! (My 1/2 eternity, earring jackets and now this setting)

I have tracked down the ring I like from your post. I posted another picture of the side and was wondering your advice/thoughts on it.Are the diamonds on the side pretty in person, does it looked dated, just not sure, would love if it was just a plain shank. My diamond is a 1.01 round. I think they are checking about adding my fleur detail to the side, which I have to say if they can it's pretty perfect of what I'm looking for.
Please share your thoughts.

Just spoke to Luann, they are great and quick. They offered $100 off because of Pricescope and the ring as is. Then if I got the ring and loved it I could maybe have my details added locally. What does everyone think?

It's 18k and my fleurs are platinum, I wonder if that matters. I forgot to ask. Ugh, sooo close to figuring this out...I can feel it.
