So the original thread was lost in the PS2 upgrade, but I received the .20ct "light champagne" OEC diamond yesterday

I am happy with the color as it's barely noticeable unless it's next to a "colorless" diamond (which I also just happened to buy too :naughty: )

I need some pointers on how to shoot pictures of small stones 3.5mm and smaller. My colored stones are much much larger and thus easier to photo.

Alright, some better photos. . . maybe. . . They're a work in progress

Can anyone tell if champagne is the correct color for it? for some reason my camera threw in some funky purple, just ignore that.

The stone looks like it could use a good polish too, would that be a good idea or a bad one? This will be going into a ring for either my SO or myself, depending on which one he prefers.

So any good places to look for mens rings? I would love the dichotomy of the old cuts in a super contemporary setting.

The other diamond has the same dimensions (pretty much) but is not colored. I've played around with metal color and really you can't tell the difference in stone color in a WG or similar colored metal. Thanks in advance, we're as "married" as we can be (for now) but this would be a sort of E-Ring/wedding band

The marketing name for brown diamonds is "champagne." I would hazard to guess that it would be graded as "fancy light brown." Pretty diamonds. :))

Thanks, I'm just glad it didn't look like dirty snow! I one day hope to have something comparable to yours TL! You've set the bar :naughty:

I think you need to see the colored diamond collections of Stepcutnut, Catmom, LovingDiamonds, Kroshka and several others on this board. They really have amazing colored diamonds. I wish I had something comparable to theirs. Thanks for the kind words though. :))

i like it....and i like the price you paid for it as well! i'm glad it worked out.
