Offbeat Bride Checklist

Yeah, so the Knot makes me feel like I'm a bad person. I found this checklist to be more helpful and thought I would share it with others: offbeat
Some stuff is less or more appropriate depending on the bride, but I liked the casual tone that indicates that its about a celebration and not the invasion of Utah beach that the magazines outline. No comment from me on some of the items. To each her own.
Hope all is going well with planning.

No worries ZB, How goes it? surviving this nasty cold rain after the moments of nice weather? 41 more school days for me, you?

A friend emailed me this post: http://offbeatbride.com/2007/05/your-wedding-is-not-a-contest and it just tickled me. I had been concerned that our ceremony and reception are just pretty traditional, but its totally us, so now I''m stressed about other things.

Bwah! Wish I''d seen that before I let the Knot checklist give me high blood pressure. I did do a spit-take on the first item on the ''One month out'' section

! As you said, to each her own.

I''m going to have to send it to my cousin. She''s getting married next June on a boat also. Except hers will be a bit bigger than mine was, it''s a Carnival cruise from NYC to New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Am I going? Hells yeah!

Thanks for posting this! The checklist of the Knot says I'm late for renting my tablecloths, buying the BMs accessories and experimenting with my beauty routine... I'm 3½ months out... Give me a break!
