The setting directly above is luvly - i'd like it w the stone in the upper left pretty pls - the warm cushion

I'm probably the only one that feels this way, but i'm not crazy about the double prongs - for some reason, to me, it makes the stone look like a roach/bug & the prongs look like the legs - call me crazy!

I know.... it's odd...

those rings are really fab tho!

I LOVE that last one. The Ascher with the thin band...really sets it off...

Thanks for posting these. Glad to see other people spend their free time looking at rings too! Something about these shiny pieces of carbon that really brighten my day!

yup im obsessed. it's bordering on clinical now.

Well, at least we'll have good company once they commit us.

Those rings are absolutely beautiful....Gigantic looking too.. I'll take one of those.

I'll take one of each in a size 7 please. And maybe sapphires instead of the rubies. How beautiful.

Have to agree about the split prongs though.. always looks like the diamond is a bug trying to get away. Then again, I've never been a big fan of prongs period for what it's worth.

Reena, is this altering the setting you had in mind at all... are any of these new contenders?

Okay I want the asscher one. How soon is too soon to get an anniversary ring.....Considering I haven't gotten the e-ring yet, I'd say I'm jumping the gun

My next diamond will be an asscher.

OK Reena. Don't you think Leon is going to be hurt (LOL)?

Well... this comes from HERE And there is yet another "refference piece"... with softer lines down THIS LINK. I think the way they made dispersion show in these pictures is definitely worth attention

Reena,
I'm with you. Those rings are stunning.
They've all got to be at least 4.0ct+ don't
they? I knew I could have gone bigger

I have always loved that website! In particular the cushion with the shield sides. YUMMY. Anyway, I have always wondered...is the one asscher/pave/claw prong actually the same as the one on Leon's website? It looks identical-could it be a resale? Wow, who would get a divorce with a ring that looks like that. I could stay married to a real jerk for that one. HaHa-just kidding, but it is really beautiful. Mabye it's just an upgrade...but to what?

wow youre right, that asscher DOES look like the fabulous one on leon's site. very strange.

and don't worry gale, i may have wandering eyes but i would NEVER cheat on my leon!

the nelson rarities asscher is my favorite. i actually wanted an asscher before i really started looking at e-rings. love them. what do you think about an asscher solitaire pendant?

I think it could look lovely -I'd orient it diamond-wise instead of square-wise, if that makes any sense. Better yet, three asschers, graduated in size small-to-large, top-to-bottom, with a row of tiny pave-set rbs in between and all around the neck.

oh, sorry, was that out loud?!
2.gif

ooooh, yes. i do know exaclty what you mean about orienting it diamond-wise. that would be GORGEOUS. i've never seen an asscher pendant before though.

I like them all. Are they old or new?

hm, i don't really know. some of them look like they have to be antique though don't you think?

speaking of eyecandy check out this baby. when i went in to see leon today he showed me pics of his most recent ring creation. it has an oval seriously about that big set east to west just like that, but with a super-fine micropave setting.
6.gif
i also saw someone's 5 carat cushion being set.

every time i go in there i feel a little inadequate.

speaking of drrrrrroooolllllworthy asschers and leon . . .

Hey! That last one looks almost non-superstar 12 carat sized! Something for the plebes among us to aspire to!!!

I love Leon's work, but boy do I find it intimidating! Not to mention unattainable

.

i know thats what i was thinking, this looks more normal-person. i love it.

i gotta tell you though Q, while he certainly isn't cheap, leon ended up being much less expensive than i ever thought--even compared to regular local jewelers. i was pleasantly surprised. his stuff is certainly a TON less than some of the (far less intricate) designer settings i was looking at. i think it's because he works almost entirely doing contract work for private jewelers and hasn't really developed the retail (and hence markup) side of his business at all.
