First off, CONGRATS to LAJennifer, VuittonGal, Milly, ChargerGrrl!!! Yay, ladies! Can''t wait to hear all about your big days!!

As I posted before, our wedding day (9/17) was just incredible! We then took a week off and left for our honeymoon in Zihuatanejo, Mexico, the following Sunday and we came back late Friday night. It was all sooooo fantastic and fun -- now I want to get married again (same hubby

) and go on a honeymoon again! I can''t believe it''s all come and gone so quickly!

We stayed at Amuleto in Zihuatanejo, and OH MY GOD, was it heaven!! It was truly paradise. The views, the rooms, the weather, the staff, the food, the drinks, the views (did I already mention that?) ... all just too perfect. I''ll attach photos, but seriously they just don''t do the place justice because, though you can see the beauty, you can''t feel the heat, smell the smells, and just take it all in ...

We''ll start with the view from the bar area ...

The sunsets

The view from our outdoor shower (!)

One of the cute flower petal designs they put on the bed every night!

Had to include this one for PSers because these are one of my pairs of Charlotte capris -- I lived in my Charlottes the entire trip (shorts, capris, and beach pants!)

And one of the beach pants on, where else, the beach

This one cracks me up -- look at my pina colada!! And I love how my hubby has a bucket o''beer and a plate of limes in front of him -- ahh, vacation!!

And one final one. I actually had a tan! That never happens for me ... ever! I usually burn then fade, but here I actually turned semi-brownish, halleluah! (I know I look red in the photo, but seriously I did look more brown than red!)

WOW! It looks beautiful. We had dinner at Amuletto, and it was such an amazing view (too bad it rained that night.) Where all did you go? did you make it to la casa? give details! Your pictures are great!!

MsFlutter! I was hoping you''d see this! We did go to La Casa Que Canta one night for dinner -- and actually it rained on our night there (it rained two of the nights we were there -- rainy season -- but the days were just perfect). My hubby''s meal there was his favorite dinner of the whole trip (some type of fish with cilantro sauce and the most gorgeous pureed sweet potatoes)! I wish it wasn''t raining when we were there though because I really wanted to see more of the place -- it looks so lovely! I looked at your photos again when I got home, and it''s funny seeing you guys sitting at the same tables we were at

We went to Kau Kan for dinner one night, which was good, but it was just SO hot out and the sun hadn''t set yet, so we were just melting ... kind of hard to enjoy the meal until the sun went down! We also had dinner at some local restaurant in town that was recommended to us, which I forget the name of. Other than that, we had our dinners at Amuleto because we really just liked being there!

It''s funny, I actually thought of you when I was there because there was a couple dining near us, and the guy looked so much like your hubby! I couldn''t see the girl''s face but she had long brown hair, and I was thinking, "Could Ms and MrFlutter be back so soon?!"

We went to the artisan''s market in town a few times (you can see some of my purchases in the photos: straw hat, straw bag, gorgeous turquoise necklace!), went to Playa Las Gatas once and for a walk on Playa La Ropa, and ... that''s it! Other than that, we just hung out and e-n-j-o-y-e-d!!!

omg,
congrats and wow! is all i can say-
what a fabulous spot.

at first when i saw the outdoor hammock i was like "i have to go there someday"
but then, when i saw the "bucket o'' beer" and the pina coladas- that sealed the deal

how fun, congratulations again!

Thanks, labbie! Seriously, this place is just idyllic for honeymooners -- it''s SO private and secluded and intimate! Just fantastic! And if you want to be a little closer to town (Amuleto is way up on the hillside), the place MsFlutter stayed, La Casa Que Canta, or Villa del Sol are both quite luxurious!

One more photo! This was the entrance to our suite. There are only six rooms in the entire place, so you feel like you have your own little house!

Yay! Your pics are gorgeous. We''re getting married in 2 weeks (eeeeeek!!!) and going to Zihuatanejo for our honeymoon!!! We''re staying at La casa Que canta.

msflutter--By the way, while lurking thru a post about honeymoons, I think it was you who posted about LCQC, I went to the website, told FI and booked our honeymoon!!!! So,thank you!!

Sounds like we had almost identical honeymoons! Rained while we were at Amuleto, still that filet with blue cheese was AMAZING! We couldnt go to kau kan which was disappointing, but who cares when you can stay at your beautiful resort!

I wish it was me that was there. we are trying to justify another vacation there soon! We went for walks on playa la ropa every morning....wanted to stay forever.

I''m so glad the two of you had such a fabulous time. The pic of you with your tan and red dress is such a perfect picture!!! You two are so cute!

If you cant tell by the pics here, believe me....Zihu is a beautiful place. I did stay at la casa, search la casa que canta for my honeymoon pics. You will have the time of your life. Its such perfection. We stayed in the private residence el ensueno, and it was a DREAM! Make sure to give a review and post your pics when you get back!

Ellaila, you and your hubby are too cute- your pics are absolutely GORGEOUS too!

What a beautiful place!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!!

Sunmoon, good luck and enjoy!!!! La Casa Que Canta is breathtaking, you will love it!! My only advice is BUG SPRAY BUG SPRAY BUG SPRAY and anti-itch cream!!! This is rainy season, and the mosquitoes are nasty evil little things. We did''t have bug spray the first night, and on day 2, I had over 40 bites -- no exaggeration! And hubby was in the 30s. That was the only negative of the trip, but once we got the bug spray (and used it liberally!), we were good. So definitely take control of that from the get-go!!

Mara, the URL for our place is amuleto.net. Suites 1 and 2 are currently being renovated, and the palapa suite will soon be renovated as well to have AC now, which will make it a *fantastic* room! We were told that the Exec. Suite (no photos online yet) is the best though -- which, by the price difference, it better be! But any room there is just heaven. And yes thanks again for the Charlotte pants info -- they''re just the best! The beach pants were just perfect (after shortening them about 4 inches, that is!)

Dani, kcoursolle, and Equestrienne -- thanks!!

I''m going to have to frame that photo of us so that I have proof that yes, I actually did tan once in my life (giggle)

MsF, I want to go back already too!!!

Ellaila...u and your hubby are absolutely beautiful and with the amazing spot...indeed it was an incredible honeymoon..
Congrats...

Wow, amazing photos! Looks like you had a great time in a gorgeous place! That pina colada is hysterical! Congratulations!!!

Thanks for the tip ellaila! I still need to buy some stuff for the honeymoon and bug spray is right on top of my list now!
