Its 1:30 in the morning but i was surfing the net earlier and found a great site www.msrauantiques.com...Ive been there before and they are well known for antiques but...WOW...the 41 pages of jewels they currently have are mind blowing!I couldnt stop until i looked at every piece...the diamonds opals, pearls, colored gems, and the cats eye alexsanderite and star rubies are Stunners...what are your favorites? I think the cats eye alexsanderite for $200 thousand if a real winner for an un-usual gem!

Love that site - there is always something to drool over. I love the simplicity of this one (and the size!)

Did anyone notice the amount of large diamonds offered that were J-K- L colors!and the prices are still staggering.Bebe,SDL,and tradergirl ....you all have great taste in diamonds! How do you think any of these stones would look in a mans tie tack?

Jewelerman: Yes I did notice that. There is no shortgage of greed in the jewelry business looking for people with "a bucket of money and a box of stupid" (i.e., willing to pay any price without doing any research based on emotional reaction). This same dynamic caused a lot of the crazy prices in the real estate market a few years ago. Everyone seems to think there is that elusive foreigner or rich person who will just pay any crazy amount because they''re so rich, what''s a few extra dollars to them? These sellers end up chasing the market down eventually.

I think this is pretty harsh...a lot of people like the warmer colors and color isn't the most important C for other people. I think you unintentionally are insulting a lot of people on here that have beautiful warmer stones that they love...color isn't everything. Check out the "Show me your J's" thread and then tell me all those people are stupid.

What are you talking about? I just bought a K stone myself. I was referring to dealers who are greedy and think people are stupid and will overpay.

This one looks so much like Diana''s ring..
Yes, though I believe her sappphire was very large so the proportions may be somewhat different.
