A little history I got this bracelet for one of my b-day''s, I have no idea what kind of stones are used but irrespective I think it is quite beautiful. The bracelet has 30 stones that are claw set in 22kt gold, and the stones origins are from Cambodia. I am planning on getting an appraisal in the very near future but if anyone cares to guess from my cruddy camera phone pictures as what the stones could be please feel free :).

The stones (which is hard to capture with a camera phone my real camera broke

) are a deep red in colour, quite sparkly and clear looking to my eye :) some show a hint of pink in some lights. The photo''s don''t do it justice.

Rhodolite Garnets would be my first guess, just based on appearance...

Very pretty stones. My guess is garnets of some sort.

Thanks Jeff and Chrono :)

Thats essentially what I was thinking, they don''t look like any Garnets I have seen locally but that means nothing :)

Now to find time to get them appraised :)

Garnets come in many varieties. Even within its own type (pyrope, rubellite, etc) there are many different quality levels, some with a purer hue, others with a brownish tone. The mall store garnets look yucky and dark brown but a good looking garnet is very beautiful.

Deelight, I would say they are rhodolite garnets too.
