Newly engaged and wanted to share my Old Mine Cut diamond that has been passed down for several generations in my family in a setting meant to resemble Victor Canera's Emilya. Some specs: 1.45 carats, M color (originally thought it was a K, but apparently not, either way, shines up quite white!), SI1. I ADORE it :) Such a delicate platinum band, such pretty claw prongs. Swoon! Hope you enjoy it!

It is very beautiful but just to mention safety that diamond sits very HIGH above the finger. Be careful and please make sure that beauty is insured!

Yes! I agree. Something we might amend :)

How special to have such a beautiful family heirloom! It's beautiful! I agree about the height of the stone. It does face up so pretty & sparkly though! It's lovely!

It is gorgeous! Hope you love looking at it every single day!

Beautiful stone and beautiful ring.

So so pretty!! Congratulations on your engagement. Love that your ring has an old family diamond in it!

Such a meaningful ring - and absolutely gorgeous too! Congratulations!!

Beautiful ring!
Enjoy!

Really pretty! ...and I would have NEVER guessed it was an M -- so white facing! GORGEOUS!! Congrats you, OP!! :appl:

Got the stone set lower in the halo (new version on the left, old on the right). What a world of difference for such a seemingly small alteration! :)

Wow, cannot believe it's an m!

Lucky you getting a family vintage OEC....your ring turned out great...so excited for you.
Congrats on your engagement!

Congrats!
And what a beautiful ring. Enjoy wearing this beauty.

Love your stone! Congrats on a setting well done! :)

Was just curious about thoughts for a wedding band. I'd like something that has a low-profile setting, and also has sufficient sparkle to stand up on its own without an engagement ring. Looking to have the diamonds go 1/2 or 3/4 of the way around, as I don't really like diamonds on the bottom of the band. Thoughts on this twisting one? Other suggestions? Just to note, the engagement ring has a tiny bump on it, so a band wouldn't sit flush if it was straight.

I like that twisty band. It gives your ering additional pizzazz!

Very pretty ring.
