I''m engaged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He took me to a picturesque park and we were talking about how it would be a cool place to have wedding pictures taken and then he said (as he was going into his coat pocket) ''it would be a perfect to get married the same place I purposed....and he got down on his knee and asked me to marry him!!!!

I said ''YES!'' of course. I think he was going to say more but he got really nervous.....it was a perfec proposal though...perfect ring...PERFECT MAN!! The ring it beautiful...it''s based on the Ritani Endless Love ring (my avatar). It''s WG 1.3 ct G SI1. I don''t have pictures, I left my digital camera at my FUTURE MIL''S

....but as soon as I do I''ll post it.

Oh Caribou! I had been following your story (as well as many other LIWs) and was hoping it was going to come soon! It sounds like he completely surprised you! Congratulations! Can''t wait to see pictures - your ring sounds gorgeous!

BTW - when my husband proposed to me I couldn''t sleep for at least 3 nights! I had the ring in the ring box next to the alarm clock on my night stand and I kept peaking at it all night long! I think I was afraid it was going to run away!

Thank you ladies....my brother sent me a picture he took with his digital camera, it''s not the best picture and certainly doesn''t do the ring justice. Here''s it is:


Icekid, he was a trickly little devil. I was certain that he wouldn''t be able to go ring shopping without me having some idea. I was so wrong. He started the ring design a couple months ago. He got the ring the week before Thanksgiving and was going to ask that weekend but it was never the right moment. This past Tuesday I even said to him ''You know what I think, I think you haven''t even gone ring shopping since the last time we did together'' BOY WAS I WRONG.

I knew that we would be getting engaged sooner or later but I was completely surprised when he asked. Actually when we were standing on the pier looking out onto the lake, although it was dark, I thought ''Man, how perfect it would be if he proposed'' AND HE DID!!!!!!!!!!

I don''t have all the details of the ring. It''s WG, center round stone is 1.3ct, G SI1, there are 10 pave'' diamonds on each side (I counted

) and there is a basket of pave (I think 2 or 3 diamonds) at the base of the center stone. It''s BEAUTIFUL! We will either get married Fall 06 or Spring 07, depending on how inexpensively we can do it. I love Fall so I would love to do it then...we''ll have to figure things out.

Pebbles, dont'' tell me that...I''m working on 3 hours right now. OYE! Our work should give us women a holiday day called ''Proposal Day'' for the day after they get engaged....I mean I''m going to be very unproductive today.
