On the hunt for an 8x6mm Black Opal....help me find one, please!

Hi, everyone! As the title says I am searching for a solid semi-black to black opal in the size 8x6mm oval to fit a setting I already have. I am looking for an Australian opal only, not Ethiopian. Not a doublet or triplet. I am having a very hard time finding one! I have searched Etsy, but would love to hear some other ideas. Please let me know if you know a good vendor or if you've seen this size floating around somewhere! Many thanks.

Thanks so much for those suggestions! I bookmarked those sites for further reference. Unfortunately, they didn't have anything in the size I needed, but I did juat purchase an 8x6mm on OpalAuctions! Found them in the PS recommended vendor thread. It should be here by Sept 12. I can't wait to see it.

Thanks! I am pretty excited about finding it. Looking for 8x6mm was like looking for a needle in a haystack! It also needed to not be too thick. This one is 2mm thick so sort of flatish, low dome. I will post pics once it gets here.

Yes, I do! The setting specifically is meant for an 8x6mm oval without a lot of wiggle room.

Buying through OpalAuctions was easy and seems quite secure. I was able to add insurance on too.

Has anyone else purchased from them? I would love to see anyone else's purchases if they want to show me their opals!

Thanks for the suggestion. I love their selection! I wish they had videos of each stone though. I will bookmark them for future reference if the one I got from opalauctions doesn't work out.
