One Migration Out of Africa?

I found this article fascinating. It claims that through DNA it has been found that there was only one migration-of one band of hunter gatherers-out of Africa and that these people went to Asia. Europe was in the grip of an Ice Age and was too cold. Later Europe was peopled by the descendants of these people who travelled back through the middle east/northwestern Asia to settle in Europe.

i saw something just like this on tv recently. very interesting.

yep, seems to be the case.

and another interesting thing is there is research being done as regards aids and genetics. appears that the african population did not have the plague as did europe. those in europe that got the plague and survived had dna changes which may account for why some people of european descent seem to be resistant to the disease. interesting concept that a disease that killed so many over 500 years ago may have provided resistance to this current epidemic.
