Okay, so this is the issue: I have an engagement ring. I love it. I have a half-eternity band as a wedding band. I love it.
But I wanted a plain band to wear when I didn''t want to wear my e-ring and wedding band. So I bought a simple 3mm palladium band and I''ve only worn it for a couple of days. I don''t love it. I think 3mm is too thin for my size 8 ring finger, but anything wider looks too masculine on me. So I''m returning the palladium band.
I want to replace it with a trinity/rolling ring. I''ve gone to Cartier at least a dozen times--I''d ordered the Trinity One (pre PS days) as a wedding band but comfort problems coupled with buyer''s remorse made me change my mind. Then last week I thought about ordering the plain trinity ring as a right-hand ring, but the prices have gone up again (I posted about it last week) and I don''t want to pay $950 for three gold bands.
Obviously, I love the trinity band and since I''m returning the palladium band, I plan to replace it with a generic trinity band and use that as a wedding band when I don''t wear my e-ring and eternity band.
Sorry for so much background, but my question is who makes the best generic trinity band? Has anybody ordered from rollingrings. com? They seem to have the best price ($200), but I want to find out if anybody has had any quality issues.
Also, how often do Cartier''s trinity bands pop up on signed pieces? It''s not important for me to have the Cartier name, but if the difference between a generic rolling ring and Cartier''s trinity band is minimal, I''d go for the Cartier. I just find that since I need a size 56, which is large, refurbished rings would be tough to find.
Thanks everybody and sorry about my ramblings about rolling rings. Again, I love my e-ring and wedding band, but I''d like to have a simple third option and I really think a rolling ring is my best bet.
