I found this dress I like online at a discounted price because they are only online... but I wanted to know if anyone has ever gotten a dress offline. They have a return policy just wanting some input.

can we see a picture please?

Here is a pic of the dress I am not sure about getting since it is online.

If it's a designer gown, check with the designer/manufacturer to see if the online store is an authorized dealer. If they aren't, they do not guarantee authenticity and that could be a problem. You don't want to end up with a cheap knockoff. Also, check with the better business bureau (www.BBB.org?). What online store is it in particular? I have a list of a few that are legitimate.

I would love to see a picture.

Its bridalonlinestore.com there are links for it on a lot of bridal sites advertising 80% off

I can tell already that it's a knock-off store. The "Lana" on there is a replica of the "Porsha" that I was going to get by Maggie Sottero. I would suggest looking at bridesave.com (authorized maggie dealer) or maybe netbride.com. There's also RKBridal. I've read good things about these stores in books such as Bridal Bargains (BEST BOOK I EVER BOUGHT!). There's also another store that I got a great quote from, that also guaranteed a certificate of authenticity from the designer, but I can't remember the address. If you're ok with taking a risk, go for it, but I've never heard anything about this particular website. I say you should try these other websites as well and see which one you trust the most. Make sure they have a good return policy and if you're buying a designer dress, ask if they will provide a certificate of authenticity. Do a lot of research because this isn't something you can play around with. It takes at least 6 months to get a dress and depending on when your date is, you don't have a lot of time to send a dress back and get another one too many times because you got a bad one or something.

I would be worried about purchasing a dress I haven''t tried on.

YES! THat is a big issue as well. Unless you''ve tried on the exact same dress in a bridal shop and know which size you need, it''s a big risk to buy a dress that you''ve never tried on. For one, it could look totally different on you than it does in the pictures or the hanger (the dresses I tried didn''t look anything like the pictures when I actually put them on). And two, you risk big alteration bills if you happen to get the wrong size.
