Ooops I did it again! Sapphire Heart Pendant

I honestly think I have a “jewelry curse” because every time I turn around another piece jumps up and grabs me!
I had a few minutes to spare today and just ducked my head into my local jeweler (not my fancy antique jeweler) just my local guy that I like personally but don’t really buy a lot from. He has a handful of ho hum estate pieces and I really just go in to chat with him.
But today he had just gotten in this pre-owned Charles Krypell 18k sapphire pendant.
He said to make an offer.
It’s marked at $999.
I have no idea of realistic price but don’t want to spend a lot.
The sapphires had a very pleasing color which is what grabbed me.
I’m assuming .5 to .6 tcw.
Does anyone know a ballpark for something vintage ‘80’s like this???

I have no idea of a reasonable price because there are so many variables. Some vintage pieces attract a premium and others don’t. I had to look up this designer as I wasn’t aware of him and I’m still none the wiser as to cost! The sapphires are a pretty blue but I suspect you don’t know whether they are treated or not? If I were you I’d offer half the asking price and see what happens!

I was thinking along those lines and I’m assuming for a piece like this most definitely treated stones.
