I can''t wait to hear all about your trip. The wait is killing me.

Haha, apparently security is REALLY tight there (metal detector, escorts at all times, big safes), so I''m thinking the camera will be a no-no. But I"ll bring it anyways, you never know.

Is it sad that I"m trying to pick out an outfit just for this? Haha. I usually wear jeans and a hoodie, but I feel like that would be odd since they''ll probably be dressed in suits, so I''ll probably wear a nice sweater. :) Hmmm..blue or red? Or pad! Oh wait...I don''t own a pad colored shirt, haha...

Yes, I''m very excited and nervous because I''m hoping to make a special ring for my special day and I"m nervous about making the right choices. Eek, the pressure!

I agree a nice sweater would be appropriate. They even serve you refreshments.

I imagine they won''t allow cameras either.

Hehe, I hope they are nonalcoholic refreshments! I''d hate to get tipsy and go on a shopping spree!

Forgot to attach the pic, d''oh.
I haven''t finished reading through the thread so I may be behind on the setting decision, but I LOVE the setting with the bezeled pears and rounds! Beautiful!

I think they''re both gorgeous settings, though.

I know! I do love the setting with the pears, but I don''t know if it''s right for this particular stone since the stone is kind of oval. :/

Makes me want to buy a nice roound stone to plop in there though!

Ok, i''m on the bus, heading home after my hour long fieldtrip to nsc! I can see why you need to make an appointment, it''s not really a showroom like zales etc, instead you sit down one on one with a gia gemologist/sales associate and in their office, and the pull out gems and jewelry from their safes for you to see depending on what you''re looking for. There were some pros and cons of my visit, but I''ll post a new topic later when I get back home and have a full keyboard and can load the pics (I took some photos of the very nice decor). It was a very fun trip though! They certainly do have an amazing collection of beautiful stones!! And livia was so sweet and helpful, not at all pushy or intimidating, and was patient with my questions.

That''s one of the best ways to see gemstones; just focusing on the right ones. In fact, I prefer it that way than a distracting showroom with fancy lighting.
