Hi everyone

First post here the forum and im not an expert by any means :)

Whats your opinion on these dimensions? I've seen other posts where people find that ACA stones are lacking a bit of maximum fire compared to other stones but that ACA are more balanced due to the ACA's cut specification.
How would the dimensions below performe? More fire or brightness? Any things that sticks out (good or bad) ? The diamond below is not an ACA stone :)

I got the seller to make a scan of the diamond with AGS software and the measurements are a bit different compared to the measurements from the GIA certificate.
So the two measurements below are of the same diamond.

GIA certified:

HCA: 0.9 "Big"
Measurement: 5.81 - 5.85 x 3.60 mm
Depth: 61.7%
Table: 56%
Crown angle: 34.0
Crown height: 15%
Pavilion angle: 40.8
Pavilion depth: 43%
Star lenght: 50%
Lower half: 75%
Girdle: 3.5%

AGS software:
HCA: 1.3 "Big"
5.83 (5.81 - 5.85)
Crown angle: 34.3
Crown height 15%
Pavilion angle 40.9
Pavilion depth 43.1%
Cutlet 0.1
Table size 55.6%
Total depth 62%
Girdle 3.4-4.6%
Star 51.5%
Upper : 48.5%

Proportion: 0
Symmetry: 0
Polish: 0
Brightness: 0.00

Thank you :)

I think it’ll be more brightness due to 34 PA and 56 table. Wait for other PSers opinions, I’m not an expert. Whichever lab, I think its a good diamond, within super ideal parameters. If the price is wayyy better than super ideals (ACA, CIH,CBI) I think its Ok to take this diamond, but if the price is similar with super ideals, me personally will consider the upgrade policy of your seller, because you never know down on the road you might want to upgrade and you don’t want to be stuck.

Thanks for the comment @munchee :) I actually don't know the price for the diamond itself because I only have the price for the diamond and the setting together but if I compare that with e.g. WF with an equal setting then WF is a bit more expensive :)

You need images (Aset, H&A, etc.) to compare with super ideal stones.

Did you run it through the HCA tool? I think it will probably end up a TIC stone (Tolkowsky Ideal Cut)...well rounded as far as
light return/brilliance and fire.

You can ask the jeweler for a breakdown on the price setting vs. diamond.
